It wasn't the cheating scandal, it wasn't her crazy statements post-divorce that got a wee mention in Star magazine. How can you be a Sacramento Girl too? I've been known to throw out a "close your legs to married men" a few times. Come on. Oh well, at least it was a quick read. Walmart Before she knew it, Brandi was the perfect Hollywood trophy wife--at least until her marriage exploded. And of all the descriptors one can use for this waste of DNA, train wreck is probably number one. Today, the refreshingly filter-free housewife and unapologetic mom is the newest full-time cast member of Bravo's juggernaut franchise, where she often elicits raised eyebrows and gossip from her costars for her refusal to be the scorned ex-wife, to be bullied, to change her sarcastic sense of humor, or-- on most occasions--to wear a bra. -

Little Mix's Jesy Nelson: Online trolls made me want to die In a new BBC Three documentary, the singer reveals how online bullying affected her mental health In a new BBC Three documentary, Jesy Nelson: 'Odd One Out', the singer, 28, says that comments about her appearance made her so unhappy she “just wanted to die”. In a candid and tearful moment, Jesy recalls how she took an overdose after taunts about her looks became too much to bear. Jesy and her bandmates won the reality show in 2011, instantly taking them from complete unknowns to celebrities. In the documentary, the singer also explores how the trolling affected her mum, her sister, her bandmates and her relationships – and meets ordinary people who tell Jesy their stories of being bullied online. How much of an issue is trolling? The bullying began almost immediately after Jesy appeared on TV in the X Factor. She was put into the girl group alongside Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. When Little Mix were announced as that year’s winners, Jesy says they were all “on cloud nine”. But just hours after winning the show, her excitement was tainted by trolling. “I had about 101 Facebook messages in my inbox, and the first one that came up was from some random man, saying: ‘You are the ugliest thing I’ve seen in my life, you do not deserve to be in this girl band. You deserve to die’.” It was a devastating blow to Jesy who, up until the barrage of insults and hate started during her time on X Factor, hadn’t had any problems with her body image. -

Put in more philosophical terms, our metaphysical assumptions about the body, that is to say our on- tologies (and even the implied theologies) of the body, come to shape the way that a culture and its medicine come to treat the body. In other words, the ethics of the body is tied to the assumed metaphys- ics of the body.1 is attitude toward the body is clear in the rise of certain con- temporary cultural practices. In one sense, the body gets more atten- tion than it ever has, as evident in the rise of the cosmetics industry, massage studios, exercise gyms, not to mention the attention given to the body by the medical community with the rise in cosmetic derma- tology, cosmetic dentistry, Botox injections, and cosmetic surgery. -
