Charge: Discreditable Conduct Disposition Hearing Officer: Superintendent Robert Higgs Peel Regional Police Prosecutor: Ms. Jovana Orabovic Co-Prosecutor for the Chief of Police: Inspector Mark Noble Member Representative: Mr. Mark Gordon Peel Regional Police Association Date of Hearing June 11, 2021 Detective James Yuzefowich #2552 PART I: OVERVIEW Allegations of Misconduct [1] It is alleged that Detective James Yuzefowich (“Detective Yuzefowich”), a member of the Peel Regional Police Service, committed the following act of misconduct contrary to section 80(1)(a) of the Police Services Act, R. S. O. 1990 c. P. 15, as amended; Count One - Discreditable Conduct It is alleged that Detective James Yuzefowich committed Discreditable Conduct in that on or about November 30, 2020 and February 11, 2021 he acted in a disorderly manner or in a manner prejudicial to discipline or likely to bring discredit upon the reputation of the Peel Regional Police constituting an offence against discipline as prescribed in section 2(1)(a)(xi) of the Code of Conduct, Regulation 268/10, as amended. Background [2] Detective Yuzefowich of the Peel Regional Police Service appeared before me on May 13, 2021 in answer to a Notice of Hearing that was issued on April 28, 2021, alleging one count of misconduct contrary to section 80(1)(a) of the Police Services Act, constituting an offence against discipline, Discreditable Conduct, as prescribed in section 2(1)(a)(xi) of the Code of Conduct, Regulation 268/10, as amended. -

In addition to investigative experience, the Unit looks for officers with demonstrated victim sensitivity. Community Safety The Unit is governed by TPS Procedure 05-05. All SCU investigators are required to have · TPS Mailing Lists completed the Ontario Major Case Management course and the Sexual Assault Child Abuse · Newcomer Outreach course within 3 months of joining the squad. The officers take great pride in their abilities to · Sex Crimes Unit manage the wide range of concerns and needs expressed by all victims of sexual assault. · Crime Prevention · Crime Stoppers In 2001, all officers gained additional experience by attending a half-day training session · Domestic Violence dealing with the special concerns of the gay and lesbian community and also received a · Graffiti Eradication two-day training seminar in the preparation of search warrants. · Victim Services · Child Seat Safety The investigative section investigates all mandated sexual assault occurrences 24 hours per · Community Programs day 7 days per week. SPECIAL STUDY Law Enforcement Information Management Study Alison Brooks, Ph.D. IDC OPINION The objective of this study is to develop a common understanding of Canadian law enforcement's major investigative and operational systems (local, regional, provincial and federal levels) and to develop a common vision towards improved interoperability. To do so this study will provide: . An overview of the central challenges and obstacles to interoperable systems and a view into realistic best practices of interoperability between policing systems . An inventory and short description of the current major national, regional and provincial investigative and operational systems, smaller local systems in the policing community across Canada, and linkages between systems . GTA West GTA West Corridor Environmental Assessment Planning and Environmental Assessment Study – Stage 1 Final Supplemental Consultation Record November 2012 GTA West Corridor Planning and Environmental Assessment Study – Stage 1 Supplemental Consultation Record 1. SUPPLEMENTAL CONSULATION RECORD OVERVIEW The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is working to provide for the efficient movement of people and goods within the context of the province’s Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe. To support the policy directions in the Growth Plan, MTO has commenced the formal environmental assessment (EA) process for the GTA West Corridor. The purpose of this Study is to examine long-term transportation problems and opportunities and consider alternative solutions to provide better linkages between Urban Growth Centres within the GTA West Corridor Preliminary Study Area, such as Downtown Milton, Brampton City Centre, Vaughan Corporate Centre and Downtown Guelph. The Study is being undertaken as an Individual EA in accordance with the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act (the Act). The GTA West Corridor Environmental Assessment Terms of Reference was submitted to the Ontario Ministry of the Environment on July 15, 2007 and was approved on March 4, 2008.
