2013 SEC Gymnastics Television Schedule Released

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Southeastern Conference released the 2013 gymnastics television schedule today. Combined, the networks will broadcast 18 SEC gymnastics meets this season, in addition to the SEC Championship. All meets will be broadcast on a delayed basis. Six meets will be distributed nationally by ESPN. Fox Sports Net (SportSouth, FS Midwest, FS Southwest and Sun Sports) will televise eight contests while CSS (Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast) will broadcast five meets. In addition to regular season action, fans can watch the SEC Championship on ESPNU and ESPN. Fans will also be able to access the ESPN and ESPN2 telecasts through their mobile devices on WatchESPN.

In 2004, the SEC placed three teams in the top five at the NCAA Championships. Georgia won the SEC’s 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th national championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. The SEC set a record with five teams advancing to the Super Six in 2009. Alabama won their sixth, and the SEC’s 16th national championship, in 2012. In addition to phenomenal success on the team level, SEC athletes have also excelled at the individual level, claiming a total of 84 individual championships, including all five in 2012.
