A major initiative is the commitment to produce Catchment Management Plans setting out the Authority’s vision for realising the potential of each local water environment. An important stage in the production of the plans is a period of public consultation. The NRA is keen to draw on the expertise and interest of the communities involved. The first plan for consultation in the South West is for the freshwater River Torridge Catchment. The NRA looks forward to receiving comments on the attached draft. A final plan will then be produced with an agreed action programme for the future protection and enhancement of this important catchment. CLAWTON CLARION April 2019 Welcome to the April 2019 edition of the Clawton Clarion. April is the month of Easter and this year it is celebrated late in the month, so here’s hoping for good weather and time with family and friends. Clawton is a vibrant and welcoming community with lots to celebrate, however I am having great difficulty in getting contributions to share in the Clawton Clarion each month. We would love to hear your good news and family announcements; as well as reports on village events. There are a couple of regular contributors, to whom I am most grateful, but this edition is rather thin! Don’t forget, the Clawton Clarion is about YOU and YOUR COMMUNITY so please send contributions for the next edition by 20th April 2019 to [email protected] or call me, Judi Graham: 01409 271265 If you would like to receive the Clarion electronically, send me your e mail address.
