Q#བས་Oམས་ལ་བE+་བ་མེད་པ། topnam la dziwa mépa His powers are invincible. སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་P+་Q#ན་པ། semchen tamché kyi tönpa He is the teacher of all sentient beings. 4ང་Uབ་སེམས་དཔའ་Oམས་P+་ཡབ། changchub sempa nam kyi yab He is the father of all bodhisattvas. འཕགས་པའི་གང་ཟག་Oམས་P+་@ལ་པོ། pakpé gangzak nam kyi gyalpo He is the sovereign of all the noble ones. 9 \་ངན་ལས་འདས་པའི་D#ང་9/ར་J་འD#་བ་Oམས་P+་དེད་དཔོན། nyangen lé dépé drong khyer du drowa nam kyi dépön He is the guide who leads beings to the city of nirvāṇa. ཡེ་ཤེས་དཔག་W་མེད་པ། yeshé paktu mépa He has measureless wisdom. ]#བས་པ་བསམ་*+ས་མི་9བ་པ། pobpa samgyi mikhyabpa He possesses inconceivable fearlessness. ག)ང་Oམ་པར་དག་པ། sung nampar dakpa His speech is utterly pure. ད4ངས་^ན་པ། yang nyenpa Its tones are melodious. _་4ད་བ>་བས་ཆོག་མི་ཤེས་པ། ku ché tawé chok mi shépa One can never have enough of looking at him. _་མ`ངས་པ་མེད་པ། ku tsungpa mépa His form is without comparison. འདོད་པ་དག་གིས་མ་གོས་པ། döpa dak gi magöpa He is unsullied by the realm of desire. 10 གaགས་དག་གིས་ཉེ་བར་མ་གོས་པ། zuk dak gi nyewar magöpa He is quite unsullied by the realm of form. གaགས་མེད་པ་དག་དང་མ་འ1/ས་པ། zukmépa dak dang madrépa He is not caught up in the formless realm. cག་བdལ་དག་ལས་Oམ་པར་D#ལ་བ། dukngal dak lé nampar drolwa He is completely liberated from suffering. eང་པོ་དག་ལས་རབ་W་Oམ་པར་D#ལ་བ། pungpo dak lé raptu nampar drolwa He is totally liberated from the aggregates. ཁམས་Oམས་དང་མི་Aན་པ། kham nam dang mi denpa He is not possessed with the constituents of ordinary experience. H/་མཆེད་Oམས་བfམས་པ། kyemché nam dampa He is in control of the sense fields. མJད་པ་Oམས་ཤིན་W་བཅད་པ། düpa nam shintu chépa He has cut right through the knots. ཡོངས་)་གJང་བ་དག་ལས་Oམ་པར་g#ལ་བ། yong su dungwa dak lé nampar drolwa He is completely liberated from torment. 11 h+ད་པ་ལས་D#ལ་བ། sépa lé drolwa He is freed from craving. U་བོ་ལས་བiལ་བ། chuwo lé galwa He has crossed over the river. ཡེ་ཤེས་ཡོངས་)་E#གས་པ། yeshé yong su dzokpa He is perfected in all the wisdoms. འདས་པ་དང༌། མ་4#ན་པ་དང༌། ད་>ར་kང་བའི་སངས་@ས་བཅོམ་Aན་འདས་Oམས་P+་ཡེ་ ཤེས་ལ་གནས་པ། dépa dang majönpa dang data jungwé sangyé chomdendé nam kyi yeshé la népa He abides in the wisdom of all the buddhas of past, present and future. \་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་ལ་མི་གནས་པ། nyangen lé dépa la mi népa He does not dwell in nirvāṇa. ཡང་དག་པ་ཉིད་P+་མཐའ་ལ་གནས་པ། yang dakpa nyi kyi ta la népa He abides in perfect finality. སེམས་ཅན་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ་གཟིགས་པའི་ས་ལ་བlགས་པ་Q/། semchen tamché la zikpé sa la shyukpa té He remains on the level where he sees all sentient beings. 12 འདི་དག་ནི་སངས་@ས་བཅོམ་Aན་འདས་Oམས་P+་_་ཆེ་བའི་ཡོན་ཏན་ཡང་དག་པ་Oམས་སོ། ། di dak ni sangyé chomdendé nam kyi ku chéwé yönten yang dakpa nam so All these are the authentic and supreme qualities of the embodiment of the Buddha. དམ་པའི་ཆོས་ནི་ཐོག་མར་དགེ་བ། བར་J་དགེ་བ། མཐའ་མར་དགེ་བ། dampé chö ni tokmar géwa bardu géwa tamar géwa The sacred Dharma is good at the beginning, good in the middle and good at the end. དོན་བཟང་པོ། dön zangpo It is excellent in meaning, ཚག་འn་བཟང་པོ། tsik dru zangpo Excellent in words and syllables. མ་འ1/ས་པ། madrépa It is distinctive. ཡོངས་)་E#གས་པ། yongsu dzokpa It is totally complete. ཡོངས་)་དག་པ། yongsu dakpa It is utterly pure. 13 ཡོངས་)་4ང་བ། yongsu jangwa It completely purifies. བཅོམ་Aན་འདས་P+ས་ཆོས་ལེགས་པར་ག)ངས་པ། chomdendé kyi chö lekpar sungpa The Buddha teaches the Dharma perfectly. ཡང་དག་པར་མཐོང་བ། yangdakpar tongwa It brings unerring vision. ནད་མེད་པ། né mépa It is without affliction. Jས་ཆད་པ་མེད་པ། dü chépa mépa It is constant and always timely. ཉེ་བར་གཏོད་པ། nyewar töpa It is trustworthy when applied. འདི་མཐོང་བ་ལ་དོན་ཡོད་པ། di tongwa la dön yöpa Seeing it fulfills one’s purpose. མཁས་པ་Oམས་P+ས་ས་ས་རང་གིས་རིག་པར་4་བ། khépa nam kyi soso rang gi rigpar chawa The wise can validate it through their own awareness. 14 བཅོམ་Aན་འདས་P+ས་ག)ངས་པའི་ཆོས་འJལ་བ་ལ་ལེགས་པར་བG/ན་པ། chomdendé kyi sungpé chö dulwa la lekpar tenpa The Dharma taught by the buddha relies entirely on training the mind. ངེས་པར་འkང་བ། ngépar jungwa It is truly delivering. E#གས་པའི་4ང་Uབ་W་འD#་བར་4/ད་པ། dzokpé changchub tu drowar chépa It causes one to arrive at perfect enlightenment. མི་མSན་པ་མེད་ཅིང་འJས་པ་དང་Aན་པ། mi tünpa mé ching düpa dang denpa It is without contradiction. It is all-embracing.

It’s a time, a very important time, of discovery, a discovery of the truth of suffering. I heard that during the First World War that there happened a kind of influenza, a disease, epidemic disease. So many millions, five million? Fifty millions people died, minimum. Fifty millions people minimum, died. That happened, but we can’t say before, a long time ago, [what happened]. Then there happened different ones at different times. Some number of years ago, SARS happened, but I think it didn’t spread much. Our Dharma center, ABC in Singapore, invited the monks who do the Most Secret Hayagriva puja in Sera Jey, our college. They invited those monks who are specialized in doing the puja, and then also Lower Tantra College [monks]. They did, I think, Tsog Kong, Most Secret Hayagriva Tsog Offering, the eXtensive one. Then they did, I think, a wrathful fire puja and then I don’t know what else, but many others. Right after that the SARS stopped. The puja was done to stop the SARS. It was sponsored by our center, FPMT center, ABC. So that happened.

    Barom Kagyu Chodrak Drupju Chuling Year of the Iron Ox (2148) 2021 Important Dates Message from Venerable Sonam Tenzin Rinpoche: The past Year 2020 has been extremely difficult and challenging for all living beings, not just for us, human beings but also for all the animals sharing our same living environment. Last year, our planet Earth experienced some of the most extreme natural disasters, including decimating bushfires in Australia and the US, destroying many properties and killing billions of animals; devastating floods in Indonesia; earthquakes in Turkey, China, Iran, Russia and India. And of course, there was the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic affecting everyone, all the people of the world. These disasters are very timely reminders of the Buddha’s teaching about the impermanence of our very short existence on Earth. Now, Rinpoche wholeheartedly wishes and prays for “better situation” for 2021, that is for a Safe, Happy and Healthy Year 2021, for all the Barom Kagyu supporters, all the Dharma brothers and sisters and all the students and their families and friends. May many wonderful things happen in your lives. May all your wishes in accordance with the Dharma be totally and completely fulfilled. May your dharma practice flourish and may all obstacles to your practice vanish so that you move quickly on the path to enlightenment. Finally, Venerable Sonam Tenzin Rinpoche and Venerable Lama Namsai wish to extend their “Tashi Delek” to everyone, students, supporters, families and friends, their best wishes for a very happy Tibetan New Year, the year of the Iron Ox 2148.   • THE DAY of MIRACLES the First Full Moon in the Tibetan Lunar Calendar
    THE DAY OF MIRACLES The first full moon in the Tibetan lunar calendar is celebrated as the Day of Miracles, or Chotrul Duchen, which commemorates the final day of miraculous display by the Buddha which lasted 15 days. The Buddha performed the miracles in response to a challenge from six rival teachers. These 15 days are merit-multiplying days in which any virtue created is magnified millions of times. The Day of Miracles which falls on 28 February this year is also the most special day of Monlam Chenmo, the Great Prayer Festival, where thousands of people, lay and ordained alike, pray, and make offerings of food, tea, lights or money to the Sangha. THE MIRACULOUS DEEDS OF BUDDHA SHAKYAMUNI AT SHRAVASTI At one time, Buddha was staying with hundreds of fully ordained monks in the Bamboo Grove outside of Rajagriha. The ruler of that country, King Bimbisara, was one of Buddha’s greatest patrons. In loyalty and respect for Buddha and his monks, the King led many of his subjects to the practice of the teaching. Six heretical teachers were also staying there at that time, and their deceptive teachings were the cause of many unskillful actions. King Bimbisara’s younger brother followed these teachers and made great offerings to them, thinking that they taught the path to liberation. As a result he became defiled by error, so that even though Buddha was showing the glories of enlightenment, he did not see it. King Bimbisara persuaded his brother to give up his erroneous ideas but his brother replied, “I have my own teacher.
