In the late afternoon then arrived an OzJet Boeing 737-200 (G-GPFI), which is ex. Luxair LX-LGN, and finally Welcome Air operated a flight with their Dornier Do-328 (OE-LJR). © MORO Mike © MORO Mike © MORO Mike © MORO Mike © MORO Mike © MORO Mike Commemoration Day at Weiswampach with RAF Eurofighters On 6th October 2007, the 25th Anniversary of the Royal Air Forces Association Luxembourg Branch has been celebrated. This anniversary was held at the Lancaster Memorial in Weiswampach. The memorial has been placed next to the crash site where 2 Lancaster Bombers (Avro 683 Lancaster, right photo) were shot down in the night of 12/13 August 1944. 13 soldiers died that night. The memorial is placed at the Belgian-Luxemburgish border between Weiswampach (L) and Ouren (B). A British flag marks the crash site of www.lancaster.lu the first Lancaster. For the anniversary 2 Royal Air Force Eurofighters Typhoons (ZJ916 & ZJ809) came to Luxemburg to perform a low pass over the memorial. Unfortunately one of the aircrafts had a technical failure (ZJ809) after landing at Luxembourg Airport and was unable to perform the flight. On Saturday morning, after a powerful take off at Luxembourg Airport, ZJ816 performed a low pass at 10:30 local over Weiswampach. LX-LGI, ERJ-145, is the third one to get the new remain at Luxembourg Airport. The aircraft only left on design. More Embraer should follow in the next month 16th October which allowed Jérôme to get a close-up of and the first Boeing is due at the beginning of 2008. the Jet. 20th October 2007: Luxair Open Day & Dash Q400 flight (by MORO Mike) On 20th October 2007 Luxair organized an Open Day to present the different branches of the Luxair Company. A big tent was installed at the Parking G next to the runway 06. Inside, Luxair Cargo, Luxair Tours and Luxair Catering had PR stands. A Boeing 737 engine was shown and for visitors the most interesting was the complete Boeing 737 simulator. (Photos on the right) In addition a de-icing truck, a push back truck and other equipment used by Luxair and Luxair Cargo were exhibited outside the tent. (Photos below) Luxair also offered the possibility to take a sightseeing tour over Luxembourg with one of their Dash Q400. 5 flights were organized during the afternoon for 25€ which was quite an acceptable price. After taking the shuttle to the Terminal B and passing the security check we boarded Luxair LX-LGC for a 30 minute flight. After departure we flew over Echternach, Mersch, Vianden, Diekirch, Esch-Sur-Sûre, and then south over Capellen and Pétange back over the City. Markmiðið með virðismatinu er að leggja mat á hvort hlutir félagsins á markaði teljist yfir- eða undir verðlagðir. Niðurstöður þessarar rannsóknar gefa til kynna að eiginlegt virði hlutanna sé 2,58 krónur. Í upphafi aprílmánaðar var gengi hlutanna á markaði hins vegar 1,40 krónur og gefa niðurstöðurnar því til kynna að hlutirnir séu undirverðlagðir um rúm 84 prósent og að kaupaðstæður fyrir fjárfesta í félaginu séu því hagstæðar. Hins vegar bendir margt til þess að fjárfesting í félaginu feli í sér umtalsverða áhættu og sé því ekki hentugur valkostur fyrir áhættufælna fjárfesta. Virðismatsaðferðin sem stuðst er við í þessari rannsókn er afvaxtað sjóðstreymislíkan þar sem virði félagsins er metið út frá núvirtu frjálsu sjóðstreymi til fyrirtækisins að viðbættu niðurlagsvirði. Til stuðnings virðismatsins var bæði framkvæmd stefnumiðuð og fjárhagsleg greining á félaginu. Stefnumiðaða greiningin var framkvæmd með PESTEL greiningu, fimm krafta líkani Porters, VRIO auðlindalíkani og SVÓT greiningu og hafði það að leiðarljósi að greina þá lykilþætti í umhverfi félagsins sem skapað gætu því aukið virði eða dregið úr arðsemi þess fram á við.

The thesis consists of an explanation of the theoretical background of M&A along with the principal of the activity and risk management. The center of focus is M&A in the aviation industry, concentrating on the WOW air and Icelandair event that occurred from 2018 to 2019. The mentioned years have been remarkable years for WOW air due to financial losses. To keep business and survive the company had attempted many solutions, and one of them was to merge with Icelandair. Since these two companies shared the most significant market share in the Keflavik International Airport, or over 70% of the total, if the two airlines had happened to merge it would have increased their market power among international carriers. Moreover, they would benefit from economies of scale and cost reductions, but due to them operating with different types of aircraft, it would have been difficult for the airlines to merge.

This was done by gathering regional data from fieldwork in situ consisting of company interviews and visitor surveys in Þingeyjarsýslur during the period of 2013-2015. The method used in this study considered the principles of the Nordic Model as well as the Tourism Satellite Account: Recommended Methodological Framework 2008 and its applicability at the regional level.

    Company Description │ June 2021 Listing of shares on Nasdaq First North Iceland This Company Description (hereafter referred to as the “Company Description”) has been prepared by and under the responsibility of Fly Play hf., reg. no. 660319-0180, Reykjavíkurvegur 76, 220 Hafnarfjörður, an Icelandic public limited company (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”, “Play” or the “Issuer”) in relation to a proposed listing of Play´s shares on the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Iceland (“First North” or “First North Iceland”), and has been reviewed by Nasdaq Iceland hf., reg. no. 681298-2829, Laugavegi 182, Reykjavík, Iceland, as the operator of First North Iceland (the “Exchange”). The listing of shares on First North Iceland completes a financing round by Play, consisting of two separate offerings of shares. In March 2021 Play launched the first part of the round of financing, intended and structured to secure sufficient working capital for at least the first year of operation. Play initiated a private placement with Arctica Finance hf. with the goal to raise USD 35 million. The private placement was successfully completed in April with a total transaction size of USD 47 million in new equity. The private placement attracted strong support and interest and was oversubscribed at the subscription price. In parallel with the issuance of this Company Description, the Company will launch the second part of the round of financing, an IPO in two separate tranches, offer book A and offer book B (together the “IPOs” or “Offerings”), with the aim to raise around ISK 3.9 – 4.3 billion in new equity.
