Included was an exhibition area that showcased “Art & Conversation” ceramic art work by Cancer Champions and those in recovery from Cancer who had been supported by Sarah Villeneau from Manor Oaks Art Studios to create the amazing pieces of art work. The campaign was about promoting awareness and to encourage people to have cancer screenings. Over the past year she engaged with a lot of people who have become group members of the Art and Conversation Project that she set up through this campaign. They have come together to talk about the good and the bad bits of what they have experienced with cancer screening and cancer overall. The group have made pledges and pieces of artwork to raise the awareness for the need to have cancer screenings. In Sheffield there are now 7,000 people who live with dementia and around 300 people in our community and we want our community to become more friendly for people with dementia.
