Recent studies, however, provided evidence that this parasite does not only grow within the tissues of freshwater-inhabiting crabs but can also be successfully transmitted by them to European crayfish species. The potential to act as alternative A. astaci hosts was also indicated for freshwater shrimps. We experimentally tested resistance of two freshwater atyid shrimps: Aty- opsis moluccensis (De Haan, 1849) and Atya gabonensis Giebel, 1875. They were infected with the A. -

Disebut ikan tikus karena ikan ini memiliki sifat pemalu, sama seperti tikus yang ketakutan ketika terlihat manusia. Ikan corydoras merupakan golongan ikan omnivora dan bersifat bottom feeder (pemakan biota dasar). Ikan corydoras berasal dari perairan Amerika Selatan dan telah dibudidayakan di seluruh dunia dengan banyak speises. Dalam penelitian terakhir, dijelaskan bahwa terdapat 120 spesies ikan Corydoras, namun hanya beberapa spesies yang sudah di budidayakan diperairan Indonesia. Dengan semakin maraknya para pecinta ikan hias, maka permintaan ikan jenis Corydoras ini juga semakin banyak. Oleh karenanya, sebagai para penghobi ikan hias dan pembudidaya ikan Corydoras harus memiliki pengetahuan tentang pemeliharaan ikan ini. Dalam artikel kali ini, kita akan membahas seputar ikan corydoras. Mulai dari morfologi, tingkah laku, perawatan dan dari segi kesehatannya. Jenis-Jenis Ikan Corydoras di Indonesia 1. Corydoras aeneus Disebut sebagai Bronze corydoras Berwarna coklat hijau kemerahan seperti perunggu Ukuran maksimal 6,0 cm Albino mempunyai badan putih dan mata merah 2. Corydoras adolfoi Disebut seabagai Adolfo’s Cory Ukuran maksimal 6,0 cm Berwarna putih kebiruan, pita hitam vertical pada daerah mata 3. Corydoras barbatus Disebut sebagai Giant Corydoras, King of Corys dan Barbatus catfish Corydoras paling besar, berukuran 8 cm Berwarna coklat dengan bercak hijau kehitaman 4. ABSTRACT the Freshwater Shrimp Neocaridina Davidi (N. Heteropoda)
ABSTRACT The freshwater shrimp Neocaridina davidi (N. heteropoda) (Crustacea, Malacostraca, Decapoda) originates from Asia and is one of the species that is widely available all over the world, because it is the most popular shrimp that is bred in aquaria. The endodermal region of the alimentary system in analyzed species consists of an intestine and a hepatopancreas. The intestine is a tube-shaped organ and the hepatopancreas is composed of two large diverticles that are divided into the blind-end tubules. Hepatopancreatic tubules have three distinct zones – proximal, medial and distal. Among the epithelial cells of the intestine, two types of cells were distinguished – D and E-cells, while three types of cells were observed in the epithelium of the hepatopancreas – F, B and E-cells. Each cell type has a specific role in digestion. The structure and ultrastructure of the midgut have been described using X-ray microtomography, transmission electron microscopy, light and fluorescence microscopes. Three types of cell death were observed in the intestine and hepatopancreas – apoptosis, necrosis and autophagy. Degeneration processes involve the fully developed cells of the midgut epithelium that have contact with the midgut lumen – D-cells in the intestine and B- and F-cells in hepatopancreas, while E-cells (midgut stem cells) did not die. A distinct correlation between the accumulation of E-cells and the activation of apoptosis was detected in the anterior region of the intestine, while necrosis was an accidental process. Degenerating organelles, mainly mitochondria were neutralized and eventually, the activation of cell death was prevented in the entire epithelium due to autophagy. -

This distortion is evident for the order Siluriformes, in which the suborders Siluroidei and Loricarioidei share equivalent proportion of species, although far less is known about the genetics of the latter clade, endemic to the Neotropical Region. Recently, this information gap was evident in a study about the structural diversity of fish mitochondrial genomes, and hampered a precise chronological resolution of Siluriformes. It has also prevented molecular ecology investigations about these catfishes, their interactions with the environment, responses to anthropogenic changes and potential uses. Results: Using high-throughput sequencing, we provide the nearly complete mitochondrial genomes for 26 Loricariidae and one Callichthyidae species. Structural features were highly conserved. A notable exception was identified in the monophyletic clade comprising species of the Hemiancistrus, Hypostomini and Peckoltia-clades, a ~60 nucleotide-long deletion encompassing the seven nucleotides at the 3′ end of the Conserved Sequence Block (CSB) D of the control region. The expression of mitochondrial genes followed the usual punctuation pattern. Heteroplasmic sites were identified in most species. The retrieved phylogeny strongly corroborates the currently accepted tree, although bringing to debate the relationship between Schizolecis guntheri and Pareiorhaphis garbei, and highlighting the low genetic variability within the Peckoltia-clade, an eco-morphologically diverse and taxonomically problematic group.
