Winners of the FMM Excellence Awards (FMMEA) were recognised at the FMM Annual Dinner on December 1, 2015.

The Global Environment Facility (GEF), established in 1991, helps developing countries fund projects and programmes that protect the global environment. The project must meet two key criteria: it must reflect national priorities and have the support of the country involved; and it must improve the global environment or advance the prospect of reducing risks to it. United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is a specialised agency of the United Nations. Its mandate is to promote and accelerate sustainable industrial development in developing countries and economies in transition, and work towards improving living conditions in the world’s poorest countries by drawing on its combined global resources and expertise.

Visit to Machinery Technology Centre, SIRIM BERHAD

A total of 32 representatives from FMM member companies were among some 100 visitors to the Machinery Technology Centre, SIRIM Berhad at Zurah Industrial Park, Hulu Selangor on March 9, 2016. The visit was also participated by representatives from ten other chambers.

The FMM delegation was led by Ir A K Woo, FMM Council member and Vice-Chairman of FMM SMI Working Committee.

The main objective of the study visit was to engage industry players in the machinery and foundry sector on the services and facilities offered at Machinery echnologyT Centre.
