Im recht kühlen Februar 2013 wurde von Spark ein Modell angekündigt, welches nun demnächst endlich zur Auslieferung kommen wird: Der legendäre Maredo Porsche, eingesetzt beim 24h Rennen auf dem Nürburgring im Jahre 1993 und pilotiert Walter Röhrl, Jürgen Barth, Georg Memminger und Fritz Müller, wird u.a. dank der Unterstützung durch Herrn Memminger, nun im Maßstab 1:43 realisiert. Struggling with an overheating, ill- handling car in the morning session, he put in a very few laps, winding up 13th-fast out of 20 cars with a lap of 1:04.763 in the #22 Andersen Racing / College Network / Indeck / Cytomax Mazda. Working with his Andersen Racing engineers, Daly, who also happens to be the son of legendary F1/Indy Car racer and noted motorsports broadcaster Derek Daly, found the 'sweet spot' and turned the fastest lap of the session, a 1.01.978 – still a tad shy of Peter Dempsey's qualifying record from last year, a 1:01.788, but the youngster from Noblesville, Indiana feels confident heading into tomorrow's mid-morning qualifying… and he's no rookie at this; the race he won in New Jersey he won from the pole. "If the weather is cool enough, I'd expect qualifying to get into the low 1:01s," says Daly.
