Download Spring 2020 Graduation Program FROM THE PRESIDENT Dr. Scott Ralls President Dear Wake Tech graduates, It gives me great honor as President of Wake Tech to congratulate you on your graduation. Many classes have come before you, but none have experienced a year like the Class of 2020. In many ways, it has been a year of challenge for all of us. For many of you, the weight of being a college student during a challenging year also comes while working, parenting, caretaking and other life activities that most community college students face while attending college. That is why your achievement that we celebrate today is particularly momentous, and why you and your family should take great pride in your accomplishment. Your resiliency and commitment has brought you to this milestone today, and that experience will contribute to your success in the future. You are not only prepared to address the challenges and changes that will confront you in the future, but you are also uniquely poised to be a positive changemaker in our communities. We look forward to watching you fly! On behalf of our Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, please know that we are very proud of you and we have been honored to have you attend Wake Tech. We wish you great future success and fulfillment! Dr. Scott Ralls THE WAKE TECH MACE A mace, once a type of club used in combat, has become a ceremonial staff and a symbol of order and command used by governmental, religious, and higher educational institutions throughout the world. When used in college and university ceremonies, the mace represents the authority and independence of the institution and its faculty. The Wake Tech mace, created by Lawrence Wiedel, was officially presented in 2013 to commemorate the college’s 50th anniversary, by the Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. The mace is made from a variety of hardwoods to symbolize Wake Tech’s cultural diversity. The handle is made of burl walnut; the top, made of African zebrawood, bears the Wake Tech seal on one side and the Eagle mascot on the other. Supporting the seal is a brass ring engraved with Wake Tech’s core values: accountability, respect, responsibility, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. There are also three dead humans. The demons are killed in battle. The humans have odd symbols carved in their chest and there are nearby automatic weapons. Buffy tells Xander to send a copy of the symbol to Giles Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Long Way Home Season 8, when another Slayer finds the machine that generated the force field, also presumably belonging to the victims. There is a shadowed spy nearby.

    LOYISO BIOGRAPHY As a teenager Loyiso Bala was classically trained, finishing top of his class, at the prestigious Drakensberg Boys Choir in South Africa. He later on became the youngest conductor of the National Youth Choir at the age of 19. Motown Records re-teams with Lionsgate and ground-breaking director/actor/playwright Tyler Perry to release the soundtrack for his new movie, "Madea's Family Reunion." The Madea soundtrack will be in stores on February 21st three days prior to the films'' nationwide opening on February 24th. In preparation for the soundtrack release, the label is promoting the sultry Brian McKnight ballad, "Find Myself In You." Tyler Perry executive-produced the soundtrack and made certain that every song on the soundtrack appears in the movie; so fans will be pleased to find that, like the movie, Madea's Family Reunion soundtrack focuses on themes of love and family. The soundtrack contains new songs from talented artists as LL Cool J featuring Mary Mary ("We''re Gonna Make It"), Chaka Khan ("Keep Your Head Up"), Johnny Gill ("You For Me - The Wedding Song"), KEM ("Tonight") and a rousing all-star ensemble comprised of Chaka Khan, Gerald Levert, Yolanda Adams and Carl Thomas on the rousing, "Everyday (Family Reunion)." Perry also tapped into soul classic favorites like Al Green's "Love And Happiness" and The O''Jays'' "Family Reunion" to round out the soundtrack. The movie revolves around the 68-year old southern matriarch; Mabel Simmons, "Madea" (played by Perry) the central character in last year's blockbuster, "Diary Of A Mad Black Woman." "Madea's Family Reunion" finds Madea using every tactic in her arsenal to keep the peace and hold her family together for a rapidly approaching family reunion.
