In effect resuming the all-out seal massacres that prompt- ed international protest until clubbing newborn whitecoats and hunting seals from large vessels was suspended in 1983, Tobin also pledged to maintain a bounty of about 15¢ U.S. per pound for each dead seal landed, and said he would encourage the revived use of large vessels to help sealers attack seal breeding colonies on offshore ice floes. rassed by an International Fund for Animal Welfare campaign The prohibition on killing whitecoats remains in effect, worldwide to expose the lack of market demand for seal products. but only means young seals will be killed not as newborns but as A report on seal marketing strategy commissioned by the Canadian two-week-old beaters, just beginning to molt and crawl.

ABSTRACT THE LAKE ME SAGA by William Comparetto The Lake Me Saga, a circuitous, non-linear caper involving two bored friends who decide to have a naval battle with a canoe and a small sailing skiff on a small Midwestern lake to protest summer’s end, while two mobsters, who are equally as bored, decide to wager on the battle’s outcome. He claimed he had felled the deer with a compound bow, and while the deer was still writhing, he claimed he heaved a Chinese kitchen knife into the deer's neck.

  • WVU Leave a Trace
Leave-A-Trace 2014 While the Leave-A-Trace (LAT) curriculum will always remain a work in progress, it is important to acknowledge those who helped form the foundation for this very transformational tool. The WVU LAT curriculum was first developed by Greg Corio. In looking at other university freshman orientation trip curriculum models, Greg found a wonderful resource through the Outdoor Action (OA) Frosh Trip at Princeton University. With permission from Rick Curtis, OA’s Director, Greg used the ideas from OA’s curriculum and established the first WVU LAT (2004) to include the following topics: WVU Info, WV Info, Diversity, Campus Issues and Health Issues. In 2006, when Forrest Schwartz began working full-time for Adventure WV, he significantly added to the LAT curriculum. Forrest, with input over the years from many incredibly talented students and staff, largely shaped LAT to become what it is today.
