The participants who arrive on Monday, 25th May 2009, are kindly asked to confirm their participation to the fixed menu dinner at Bethlen Kata Guest House for the price of 8 Euro. Recommendation for the post-congress excursion in Rimetea: please bring appropriate outdoor equipment (boots, rain-proof jacket and casual clothes). Don’t forget to bring toiletry kit since the accommodation does not provide it. We are looking forward to welcome you at the 16th European Congress of Lepidopterology in Cluj – Transylvania, where there is a remarkable biodiversity of butterflies, flowers and landscapes. Accompanying persons programme: Tuesday afternoon: guided tour of Cluj. Wednesday: full day excursion Cluj – Sighisoara with lunch at Dracula House - Biertan - Medias – Cluj. Sighisoara is the supposed birthplace of Vlad Tepes (better known as Dracula!), which is probably the most beautiful citadel in Europe. This Saxon region of Transylvania is scattered with exquisite houses and fortified churches, like the one in Biertan. Thursday: visit to the Botanical Garden "Alexandru Borza" and some museums in Cluj.
