Content Managers DECEMBER 2014 3ds Max - Brian Chapman I have the pleasure of writing this letter to you from the incredible AutoCAD - Walt Sparling AutoCAD Architecture - Melinda Heavrin country of Ireland. I just attended the European Revit Technology AutoCAD Civil 3D - Shawn Herring Conference for 2014 in Dublin. I was there as a speaker, but also had AutoCAD MEP - William Campbell ➲ BIM Construction - Kenny Eastman the opportunity to represent AUGI while I was there. CAD Manager - Mark Kiker Inside Track - Brian Andresen Inventor - John Evans I was joined by two other AUGI board members, Desirée Mackey and Shaun Navisworks - Michael Smith Bryant. Shaun Bryant, located in the UK, was AUGI’s official representative at the Revit Architecture - Jay Zallan Revit MEP - Todd Shackelford event and did a great job of promoting AUGI while he was there. Desirée, from the Revit Structure - Kimberly Fuhrman US, was attending as a speaker but she also took the opportunity to promote AUGI Advertising / Reprint Sales to the attendees. Kevin Merritt - [email protected] AUGI Management There was good representation of AUGI by the attendees themselves. When I President queried folks attending sessions about how many were AUGI members, usually 25 R. Robert Bell to 40 percent raised their hands. The vast majority of those folks were either from Vice-Presidents Desiree Mackey the US or the UK. Scott Wilcox This got me thinking. Treasurer Donnia Tabor-Hanson Are there ways to promote AUGI to people who live outside the US, Canada, and Secretary the UK that we may be missing? The board welcomes your ideas so please feel free Michael Smith Management to provide those ideas to us at [email protected]. Kevin Merritt - Director of Communications One way to promote AUGI to international people is to have AUGI board members July Ratley - Director of Finance David Harrington - Director of Operations attend more international events. There is one obvious disadvantage to that: the AUGI Board of Directors cost in time and money to send a board member to an international event. AUGI’s R. Robert Bell Melanie Perry Board of Directors is committed to making sure that AUGI’s limited resources Shaun Bryant Michael Smith Desirée Mackey Walt Sparling are spent in the best interests of all of AUGI’s members. AUGI was able to have Kate Morrical Scott Wilcox a strong presence at #RTCEUR only because of the close relationship between Publication Information AUGI and RTC, which significantly reduced costs to AUGI.
