Upon his release, Tony finds that he has lost not only his wife, children, and home, but also his name, reputation, career – and all his money. Like a clumsy Phoenix trying to rise from the ashes, the eternal optimist sets out on a very bumpy journey to reclaim his life, and win back the love and respect of his family. Unfortunately for Tony, things don’t always work out as planned. SYNOPSIS: In the 1990’s, Tony Finelli, an Italian-American from New York (Mark Janicello) was a star in Europe. Tony found fame starring in “ELVIS: The Musical” and together with his ever- present manager, Jürgen Drahtseil, turned that initial success into an international singing career. In 1997, Jürgen was approached by an “Italian Concert Promoter” regarding a big concert for Tony in Sicily. This “promoter” turned out to be an undercover agent working for the German CIA, and leading a secret sting operation to arrest ”Mr. Big“ (Godfather of the Gambaretto Mafia Family), who was under investigation in Berlin for both tax evasion and money laundering. In over their heads and caught between the Mafia and the German CIA, Tony and Jürgen were faced with the choice of either going to prison for Mr. Big or having both of their families murdered by the mob. ”The Finellis“ begins on the day Tony and Jürgen are released from a 15-year sentence in Moabit Prison in Berlin. No one meets them at the gate. Tony returns to his former home wanting to rebuild his life. Unbeknownst to Tony, his Russian ex-wife Tina Finelli had filed for divorce shortly before his release. The former model and stewardess' reputation had been ruined by the scandal surrounding Tony’s arrest. Alone with two children and no income, Tina turned Tony’s mansion into a bed and breakfast. Now, as owner of Tony’s former home, she lives there with their two daughters, Lola and Lena (now 27 and 20 years old), as well as with Tony’s parents, Pete and Bea Finelli and his ancient, Sicilian grandmother ”Nonna“. Four generations of Finellis are living under one roof. Recently, the maintenance man in Tina’s boarding house quit. Out of love for his family, Tony Finelli, the proud peacock, swallows his pride and takes over the job, hoping to rebuild his life, restart his career and reconnect with Tina and his children. Take Tony’s two left hands, add a helping of total inadequacy, and you have the perfect recipe for the comedic chaos that is ”The Finellis.” Marjan Content Productions Tel: +49 151 663 627 28 E-Mail: [email protected] MAIN CHARACTERS TONY FINELLI Italian heritage. Missing Cats, Stray Coyotes: One Citizen’s Perspective * Judith C. Webster , Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Abstract : The author explores the issue of urban coyotes and coyote management from a cat owner’s perspective, with specific examples from Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Following a personal encounter with two coyotes in July 2005 that led to the death of a cat, the author has delved into the history of Vancouver’s “Co-existing with Coyotes”, a government-funded program run by a non- profit ecological society. The policy’s roots in conservation biology, the environmental movement, and the human dimensions branch of wildlife management are documented. The author contends that “Co-existing with Coyotes” puts people and pets at greater risk of attack by its inadequate response to habituated coyotes, and by an educational component that misrepresents real dangers and offers unworkable advice.

  • Indie TV: Innovation in Series Development Aymar Jean Christian Northwestern Univeristy I Spent Five Years Interviewing Creators
Indie TV: Innovation in series development DRAFT Aymar Jean Christian Northwestern Univeristy I spent five years interviewing creators of American web series, or independent television online,1 speaking with 134 producers and executives making and releasing scripted series independent of traditional network investment. No two series or creators were ever alike. Some were sci-fi comedies created by Trekkers, others urban dramas by black women. Nevertheless nearly every creator differentiated their work and products from traditional television in some way. Strikingly, whenever I ask if any particular creator inspired them to develop their own show independently, I heard one response more than any other: Felicia Day. Indie TV creators revere Day for her innovation in production and distribution: she developed a hit franchise, The Guild, outside network development processes. The Guild, a sitcom about a diverse group of gamers who sit at computers all day to play an MMORPG in the style of World of Warcraft, ran for six seasons, from 2007 to 2013, and spawned a music video, DVDs, comic books, a companion book, as well as marshaled the passions of hundreds of thousands of fans. By the end of its run, The Guild had amassed over 330,000 subscribers on YouTube, though it could also be seen on other portals. In my work I have seen The Guild emerge as central to the online indie TV industry’s case for itself as antidote to what ails Hollywood. Day initially pitched to Christian, A.J. (forthcoming). • 2014 Television Pilot Production Report Provides Updated Insight Into L.A.’S Ongoing Loss of New Television Pilot Projects and Promising Series
Contact: Philip Sokoloski Danielle Walker VP, Integrated Communications Communications Coordinator (213) 977-8630 (213) 977-8635 [email protected] [email protected] FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New York Surpasses Los Angeles in Attracting New TV Drama Pilots Los Angeles’ Annual Pilot Production Share Slips to 44 Percent – A New Low LOS ANGELES – June 24, 2014 – FilmL.A., the not-for-profit film office serving the Greater Los Angeles Region, today announced the release of a new report prepared by its research division. The 2014 Television Pilot Production Report provides updated insight into L.A.’s ongoing loss of new television pilot projects and promising series. The 2013/2014 development cycle saw New York (with 24 drama projects retained) dethrone Los Angeles (with 19 drama projects retained) to become North America’s most attractive location for one-hour TV pilot production. Overall, Los Angeles retained only 90 projects (19 one-hour dramas and 71 half-hour comedies) out of 203 tracked during the ‘13/’14 development cycle, yielding a 44 percent pilot production share. Last year, L.A.’s pilot production share was 52 percent, and six years earlier, a commanding 82 percent. Leading competitors – including New York (35 total projects), Vancouver (17 total projects), Atlanta (12 total projects) and Toronto (8 total projects) – continue to gain ground on Los Angeles by attracting pilot producers with class-leading film incentive programs. Most of the pilot projects shot outside California were lucrative one-hour drama series produced for network, cable, or new media distribution. Including “straight-to-series” orders favored by new media content producers like Netflix, these projects cost $6 to $8 million to produce and employ 150-230 people during production.

PRISCILLA and other female group members are getting a little misty. The guys listen to this with a bit more skepticism. TOM ... She was always saying how she wanted a yellow lab puppy. She even had a name picked out -- Barnaby. And I thought, you know, what a great three-months-of- dating gift. So I show up to her house. I knock... TOM It was just so... post-sex. You know? (he pauses dramatically) Barnaby’s seventy pounds now, and I know my apartment isn’t a great place for him. But what can I do? I love the guy. It was said by James Skellington (Force24 Head of Travel Business Development) during a Swiss Innovation day interview: “People make technology great”! This should really set the scene for this guide - platforms like Force24 are simply a tool, like a hammer. It’s how you use the tool, and when in the right hands, the tool can create amazing things. Force24 has always believed this, which has set the charge for everything we do… Force24 was established in 2010 by Managing Director Adam Adam Oldfield. Oldfield Managing He saw a need to bring advanced Marketing Automation Director capabilities to ALL businesses.
