UNLESS SPECIFIED OTHERWISE, ALL RALLIES ARE OPEN TO EVERYONE FROM LEAD REIN UPWARDS. RIDERS WILL BE PUT INTO APPROPRIATE GROUPS, SO PLEASE PUT AS MUCH INFORMATION AS POSSIBLE ON YOUR ATTENDANCE FORM TO HELP US PUT YOU IN THE CORRECT GROUP.

1. AREA 7 QUIZ AT WALCOT HALL, LYDBURY NORTH – THURSDAY 18TH FEBRUARY 2016 Teams for the qualifier to be made up of 4 current Pony Club members – 1 under 12, 1 under 14, 1 under 16 and 1 under 25 years old as at 1st January 2016. Other teams can be made up from up to 8 pony club supporters ie., parents, friends etc. Half the questions will be trivia, half equestrian. If you are interested in getting a team together or being part of a team, please contact Rory Howard on 07764 155603.

2. ACHIEVEMENT BADGE DISMOUNTED WORKING RALLY – FRIDAY 19 TH FEBRUARY at Oaken Lawn Farm, Strawmoor Lane, Codsall. WV8 2HY by kind permission of Mr Malcolm Morgan. As well as providing training for the Achievement Badges, these sessions provide training for the horse & pony care part of the Efficiency Tests. Please wear suitable clothes and footwear. - Juniors and those working towards E & D tests from 1.30 – 2.30 pm - 2nd Part Grooming Badge - Seniors and those working towards D+ and C tests from 2.45 – 4.00pm – CHANGE OF TOPIC- Conformation. Group discussion and the opportunity to take the public speaking badge if keen.

3. FLAT WORK RALLY - FRIDAY 11TH MARCH 2016 at Kingswood Equestrian Centre. 5.30 pm onwards. Instructor Bonny Williams

5. ARENA EVENTING RALLY – MONDAY 28TH MARCH at Kingswood Equestrian Centre, County Lane, Albrighton Wolverhampton. WV7 3AH by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Rob Lickley. If you are interested in cross country this rally has something for everyone and is suitable for all. 2.00 pm onwards – Instructor Sylvia Farmer. 6. WHEATLAND HUNT BRANCH OF THE PONY CLUB TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL SHOW JUMPING COMPETITION - TUESDAY 29TH MARCH at Netley Hall, Netley, Shrewsbury, SY5 7JZ. This is part of an inter-branch competition between the Albrighton Hunt, Wheatland and North Shropshire Pony Clubs. Classes from 1’6” to 3’3” Details will be on our website under ‘upcoming events’. If you are interested in show jumping, there is a suitable class for everyone. Please send your entries by Friday 18th March to Rory Howard, Watling Street Grange, Redhill, Telford TF2 9PA or email [email protected] if you wish to enter individually or to form a team. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ENTRIES DIRECTLY TO WHEATLAND HUNT PONY CLUB.

7. GENERAL WORKING RALLY – WEDNESDAY 30TH MARCH at Kingswood Equestrian Centre, County Lane, Albrighton, Wolverhampton WV7 3AH by kind permission of Mr and Mrs Rob Lickley. Instructor Sylivia Farmer 2pm onwards (3 hours)

9. DISMOUNTED HORSE AND PONY CARE TRAINING FOR EFFICIENCY TESTS E, D & D+ - THURSDAY 31ST MARCH 2016 at Oaken Lawn Farm, Strawmoor Lane, Codsall, WV8 2HY by kind permission of Mr Malcolm Morgan. 1.30 pm onwards - £7.50 charge per child.

10. SHOW JUMPING RALLY – FRIDAY 1ST APRIL 2016 at Rodbaston College. Instructor – Jon Rogers – noon onwards. Please state preferred height on your rally form.

11. EASTER EGG HUNT – SATURDAY 2ND APRIL 2016. A ride, including an Easter Egg Hunt, approximately 3 miles along the bridlepaths of the beautiful countryside and woods around Badger, near Beckbury. The ride is aimed at our junior members and will be suitable for lead rein riders too. Senior members are very welcome to come and help. Parents – if your child is unused to riding in open spaces, please accompany them on foot. Parking is by kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Scott Aston, Badger House, Badger, WV6 7JR. The gate into the field can only be accessed from the Beckbury side and is only suitable for trailers or small lorries. 10.30 am ride starts. No Charge.

12. PC EFFICIENCY TEST RIDING TRAINING FOR E, D & D+ - MONDAY 4TH APRIL 2016 at Watt Meadow by kind permission from Mr Graham Leigh. 10 AM start to 1pm. Instructors: Nikki Lander and Sheryl Stewart. - £7.50 charge

13. PC EFFICIENCY TEST RIDING TRAINING FOR C AND C+ - MONDAY 4TH APRIL 2016 at Watling Street Grange, Redhill, Telford, TF2 9PB –for those who have passed their D+ and wish to take their C Test and those who have passed their C and wish to take their C+ in the summer holidays. Instructor Sylvia Farmer 4pm start. - £7.50 charge 14. TWO PHASE CROSS COUNTRY/DRESSAGE RALLY – TUESDAY 5TH APRIL 2016 at Apple Cross Farm, Alveley, Bridgnorth. WV15 6NB Instructors Jon Rogers and Sylvia Farmer – 10.00 am start.

15. DISMOUNTED HORSE AND PONY CARE TRAINING C+ - THURSDA Y 7TH APRIL 2016 at Lillyhurst Cottage, Lillyhurst, Sherrifhales – Sylvia Farmer – 4pm – 6pm - £7.50 charge.

16. JUNIOR CROSS COUNTRY RALLY – SATURDAY 16 th APRIL 2016 at Apple Cross Farm, Alveley, Bridgnorth. WV15 6NB Instructor Jon Rogers – 10.00 am start.

NB. To book in for a rally please use Attendance Form – telephone entries will not be accepted unless new member. Cost per member per rally £6.00, unless otherwise stated.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

1. WORKING RALLY DRESS CODE All members are reminded that you should wear correct dress for rallies and team training, ie. Cream/beige jodhpurs, long sleeved shirt and tie, PC badge, jacket or Branch sweatshirt, PC approved hat (tagged as below) and proper riding footwear. In the interests of safety, long hair to be secured in a hair net please. NO JEWELLERY PLEASE.

Hat Tags  Hats which are marked with one of the other standards permissible by PC (PAS 015, Snell E2001 and AS/NZS 3838 – please see website www.pcuk.org for full list of standards) will be tagged with the new white and purple tags.  All PC standard hats must have one of the new tags by 1st January 2016.  Please see Rory, Suzie or Gaye re getting your hat tagged.

2. BODY PROTECTORS Members are reminded that the AHPC for Health & Safety reasons requires everyone to wear Body Protectors during the Show-jumping and Cross Country sessions at all rallies and team practices. Also it is strongly recommended that a jockey skull cap (with no fixed peak) is worn for all cross country riding and is compulsory over fences 0.80m high and above.
