I. What can you expect to see on T1T1?  (3) Informational Text Passages  (11) Part A Multiple Choice Questions  (3) Part B Multiple Choice Questions (Providing text-based evidence in support of your answer choice for Part A.)  (1) Part B Multiple Choice Question with multiple answers (Providing more than one piece of text-based evidence in support of your answer choice for Part A.)  II. What terminology do you need to be familiar with in preparation for this test? (The below terms must be defined in the space provided. III. What resource documents should you study in preparation for T1T1? ***Please note the importance of being present in class daily for practice and instructional preparation for tests. (Initial next to each item when you have located it in your ELA binder.)  Context Clues Handout (provided to students and discussed in class)  Explicit Textual Evidence Handout (provided to students and discussed in class)  Reading Informational Text Practice – Malcolm Gladwell handout  Text Structure Handout  8th Grade ELA Terminology Reference Handout (please keep and reference for ALL tests throughout the school year)  Ready Common Core Lessons ***ALL handouts have been provided to students in class and have been reviewed in advance of T1T1. These resources will be helpful for all future tests. With the exception of bell work and Ready Common Core lessons, these handouts should remain in each student’s ELA binder.

IV. What does your teacher expect from you on T1T1?  Follow ALL reading strategies taught in class.  Annotate on all reading passages prior to answering test items.  Circle key elements in ALL stems.  Use strategies for answering Part B’s according to the instructions on the textual evidence handout provided.  Provide answers that can be supported with AMPLE textual evidence from the passage.  Pace yourself accordingly as to FINISH within the 90 minute block! The test is timed!  Check your work!  Ensure you have filled out all test answers accurately on your scantron and that your answer document has been completed prior to turning in your test.  Be proud of your SUCCESS!!!  
