Formal bids go out. Bid ceremony/code of conduct/etc… that night 7-9p.m.
Post bid ceremony briefing for week 0: brief summary of pledgeship, and what to bring/wear on week 0 meeting
1/29 or 1/30 – Bid Party and/or hang with brothers?
2/4 – Thursday – Week 0:
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Give summary of pledgeship, grade release forms, brother info sheets, contact info, Jason quest, black book set-up, rundown of positions, Goal Oriented Discussion (What they expect from pledging) - Discussion: As there is no test this week the discussion will be generic and based on their feelings from the beginning of rush week until now. They have been instructed to establish an individual goal to guide them through pledgeship and this will guide the direction of the discussion. Pledgeship in Sigma Chi is more than learning facts and dates, this discussion will help open the door to showing them what we expect in the actual application of the information. Go over material for test one – the material for next weeks test will be (this is quoted form their pledge guide for the semester): - The correct spelling of the full names of all your pledge brothers - The full name and quotes and correct spelling of each of the 7 founders of Sigma Chi - The exact location of the general fraternity headquarters - The exact wording of the Jordan Standard Candle pass
9p.m.: Links/Pinning
(Each pledge is given seven links to carry with them through pledgeship. Removal of a link is a disciplinary measure.)
2/11 – Thursday – Week 1:
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Test, Re-rundown of positions, elections, collect class schedules, setup first responders, setup sorority appreciation groups, gather top 3 big bro requests, discussion on standard, handout week 2 material, brother input?, candlepass
Maybe 2/12 - Friday? 7 or 9p.m.: Trust Fall
2/18 – Thursday – Week 2: Chandler Riviezzo Spring 2010 Magister’s Schedule Lambda Beta
Meeting @ 7p.m.: test on Description of Runkle, Spirit, Greek Alphabet, Purpose. discuss material, assign week 3 material, assign Constantine Badge, write in black books before ceremony.
9p.m.: Big/Lil Ceremony
2/25 – Thursday – Week 3:
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Test on description of Bell, Creed, Miami Triad, circumstances and significance of Constantine Chapter, importance of Sigma Chi’s 2nd Chapter. Discussion of material. Assign week 4 material.
Post Meeting: Scavenger Hunt
3/1 – Monday – Breaking Benjamin/3 Days Grace/Flyleaf @ Civic Center (not relevant but legit)
3/4 – Thursday – Week 4:
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Test on description of Lockwood, circumstances/dates/significance of the Founding, circumstances/explanation/importance of the Constantine Chapter, exact design of badge/seal/flag, official colors, wording and meaning of public motto, discussion of material, assign week 5 material.
Try to organize Pledge Retreat for 3/5 Friday and 3/6 Saturday: (swap with 3/25 – 3/26 if scheduling conflicts)
3/5 Friday – 3/14 Sunday: Spring Break
3/15 Monday – 3/19 Friday: Greek Week
3/25 – Thursday – Week 5: (Possibly have meeting Friday at campsite)
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Test on description of Jordan, 3 duties and powers of General Fraternity’s Executive Committee, 2 stated purposes of Sigma Chi Foundation and knowledge of 2 programs, life loyal Sig, Who/what does Order of Constantine recognize and at least 1 member, name/function of Sigma Chi’s worldwide service projects, Sweetheart Song. Assign essay on Purdue Case: key players/significance. Discussion of material, assign week 6 material.
3/26 Friday – 3/27 Saturday: Pledge Retreat with Brothers at Blackwater Campsite
Friday Night: Jordan Trail Activity, circle activity, Brothers Leave, Assistant Magisters and I stay.

4/1 - Thursday – 4/2 Friday: FORMAL
4/4 - Sunday – Week 6:
Meeting @ 12p.m.: Test on descriptions of Cooper and Scobey, Grand Chapter with active representation/makeup of voting membership/duties/powers, makeup of Grand Council/names of Grand Officers, Balfour Leadership Training Workshop purpose, Horizons purpose, name of International Sweetheart and greek affiliation. Discussion of material, assign week 7 material.
4/8 – Thursday – Week 7:
Meeting @ 7p.m.: Test on description of Caldwell, how does ritual play a role in Sigma Chi – functions/uses, brief explanation of the basic details/significance of early Roman heritage to Sigma Chi, Name/School of all Chapters in our province, names/chief duties of our chapter’s consul/procon/quaestor/etc… Discussion of material
9p.m.: Constantine Chapter Activity
(Chapter reenacts the first meeting of the Constantine Chapter, in order to give pledges historical perspective on this event.)
4/15 – Thursday – INTERNATIONAL @ 7p.m.
