Noun, Pronoun, or Verb??

1. Once there was an ugly princess named Gert who lived in a falling-down castle. 2. Her hair was always snarled, and she had a giant pimple on her chin. 3. “I wish I could be as beautiful as my cousin Pollyanna,” she said. 4. Just then, a cloud of magic mist filled the Gert’s room. 5. Out of the mist stepped a very ugly creature with horns on his face. 6. “Who are you?” Gert gasped. 7. “I am your Fairy Warthog,” said the warthog. 8. “That is great, but why are you here?” asked Gert. 9. “I’m here to help you,” the warthog explained. “You want to be pretty, right?” 10. “Yeah,” said Gert. “But how can you help? You’re not so pretty yourself.” 11. “Don’t be mean,” said the warthog, waving a magic wand with his hoof. 12. Instantly, Gert sprouted a slimy tentacle on her shoulder. 13. “Ew! Ew! Get it off me!” yelled Gert, leaping around the room. 14. “Oh, my friend Oscar Octopus would think that tentacle very pretty indeed,” said the Fairy Warthog. 15. Gert began to cry. “No, I don’t want an octopus to think I’m pretty.” 16. “Well then,” said the warthog, “I’ll try something else. Here you go.” 17. With a wave of the wand, the tentacle disappeared. Suddenly, instead of two eyes, Gert discovered she had six. 18.“This is so not cool!” Gert shouted, realizing that her entire face was covered in brown fur. 19. “Gosh, that’s just the look my friend Sammy Spider likes best,” said the warthog with a smile. 20. “I hate it!” said Gert. “I want to be me again!” 21. “Ok,” said the Fairy Warthog. “I bet you’ll never wish to look any different from your own pretty self again.” And he waved his wand one last time.
