AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 49-29-230, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO SCENIC RIVER DESIGNATIONS, SO AS TO DESIGNATE A PORTION OF THE CATAWBA RIVER AS A SCENIC RIVER.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Scenic river designation

SECTION 1. Section 49-29-230 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding a new item to read:

“(9) that portion of the Catawba River located between the Lake Wylie Dam and the South Carolina Highway 9 bridge crossing of the Catawba River;”

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

Ratified the 5th day of June, 2008.

Approved the 11th day of June, 2008.
