World Wildlife Foundation, Turkey. As a volunteer for this organisation I performed the following duties: Monitoring a 2 km stretch of beach renowed for turtle egg laying Census of nestings, eggs and survival rate Replacement of nesting to maximise survival rates Design and place protective covering for nestings April - July 2005 Volunteer Research Assistant As a volunteer member of the Thai Society for Conservation of Wild Animals, I participated in ecological studies concerning a Rain Forest Sanctuary. My responsibilities included assisting the Forest Engineer on a vegetation study aimed at measuring and identifying the phyto-diversity of the Sanctuary and assisting a biologist on a preliminary scientific report concerning the possibility of bear reintroduction in the Santuary. My duties included: Exploration of rain forest Trekking to GIS assisted locations Conducting vegetation census and plant identifications. Setting hair snags, camera traps and recording and identifying animal tracks. Outcomes: Well developed communication skills Research deadlines met
