Job title: Legacy Marketing Administration Assistant Department Individual Giving Location Caterham Reports to: Legacy Advisor (for regional admin support) Legacy Development Manager or Legacy Manager Job Summary: To assist the Legacy Advisor with specific administrative and secretarial tasks.

Main Duties

1. To undertake a wide range of responsibilities in the Legacy Advisor office including word processing, data entry, making and receiving telephone calls and filing.

2. To receive and collate information on behalf of the Legacy Advisor, e.g. event and Free Will responses, feedback forms and various supporter communications.

3. To assist with the coordination, planning and evaluation of Legacy events, Free Will schemes, conference exhibitions and other relevant promotions.

4. To follow up and resolve a variety of enquiries and requests relating to Legacies work from internal departments and Marie Curie Cancer Care supporters and volunteers.

5. Accurate completion of a variety of reports working to tight deadlines.

6. Research of venues and events from the Internet and other sources.

7. Sourcing of appropriate solicitors for local Free Will schemes.

8. To attend training relevant to the job role as and when appropriate.

Internal- Legacy Advisor, Legacy Development Manager, Individual Giving Manager – Legacies, Legacy Fundraiser, Legacy Administration Team, Fundraising Operations, Supporter Relations Team. External- Local venues, solicitors, press/media, event organisers, marketing equipment suppliers, volunteers and supporters.

General

Criteria Essential Desirable

Skills / Abilities  Excellent administrative and  Good interpersonal / organisational skills; communications skills;  Able to work on own initiative;  Good influencing skills  A methodical approach and keen eye for detail;  IT skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), databases, email;  Excellent telephone manner

Qualifications,  Five GCSEs (Grade C or equivalent) training and including, English and Maths; education OR

 Demonstrable literacy and numeracy.

Experience  Two years experience of working in an  Secretarial experience; office or similar type role.  Team working;  Working for charity or in the not- for-profit sector.
