SCOPE OF WORK

This scope work consists of “Removal and Installation of new Shingles and Removal and Installation of new Seamless Guttering” at Leon Daniels Heights this project is located at Tahlequah Ok. This project consists of (30) buildings, (1) Office, and (2) mailbox sheds.

(a) The contractor shall bid to furnish the following labor, licenses, material, equipment, tools, permits and insurance necessary to complete these projects. (Contractor is responsible for his own measurements) (b) The contractor shall bid work hours from 8 am to 5 pm, 5 days week, M-Fr., or Housing Authority of Cherokee Nation work hours. (c) These units are occupied (d) Bidder can visit the jobs site and acquaint them with the exact nature of work to be performed. Contact William Hooper @ 918-458-1387 to schedule a site visit. (e) The submission of a bid shall indicate the bidder thoroughly understands the specifications, conditions, and scope of work. (f) Bidder shall be responsible for determining the amount of labor and materials needed to complete these projects being bid. (g) All equipment, material, and articles furnished under this contract shall be new and of the most suitable grade for the purpose intended, unless otherwise specifically provided in this contract. (h) The specifications in the “General Specifications For New Construction” in Division 7 and the “General Specifications for Rehabilitation” in Division 7 supersede any specifications not covered in the “Scope of Work”. (i) All work must be performed in a workmanlike manner. (j) Contractor shall at all times keep the work area clean, including storage areas, free from accumulations of waste materials. Also contractor shall place a Portable/Johnny and post all properly document for this project. After completing the work and before final inspection, the Contractor shall (1) remove from the premises all scaffolding, equipment, tools, and materials (including rejected materials) that are not the property of the “Housing Authority of Cherokee Nation” and all rubbish caused by its work; (2) leave the work area in a clean, neat and orderly condition satisfactory to the Contracting Inspector; (3) perform all specified tests. (k) The contractor shall furnish a one (1) year written warranty to the Low Rent Housing Authority office at 1300 Nola St. Tahlequah, OK. On workmanship and materials. (l) Two payments will be made on this project. One payment at 50% upon completion inspection of this project and one payment at 100% completion of the project, with the approval and final inspection done by the Low Rent Housing Authority of Cherokee Nation Inspector. Estimated time of completion is 35 working days. All warranty information pertaining to this project shall be submitted with final invoice. Project: Leon Daniels Heights: Removal and Installation of new Roofing, and Removal and Installation of new Seamless Aluminum guttering, downspouts’ on (30) buildings, (1) Office, and (2) mailbox sheds

1) The contractor shall bid to remove (1) layer of shingles, felt, roof jacks and dispose of at an approved dump site.

2) The contractor shall bid to replace all, rotten/damage 2”x4”, 2”x6” sub fascia by the foot.

3) The contractor shall bid to replace any aluminum fascia that is missing. Match existing project.

4) The contractor shall bid to replace any and all warped, deteriorated decking rotten/damage plywood. The contractor shall bid per sheet, to replace with new decking (match thickness and likeness with wafer board). The contractor shall notify the inspector of any defects and do not proceed until such have been corrected and approved by the inspector.

5) The contractor shall bid to install 15# felt paper, with cap nails, nailed on 12” centers.

6) The contractor shall bid to install style (D) baked brown aluminum drip edge.

7) The contractor shall bid to install new (24”) wide 24 gauge prefab galvanize valley flashing.

8) The contractor shall bid to remove existing metal shingles or step shingles and replace with new 24 gauge (match existing sizes) metal shingles or step shingles. (Spray paint with brown baked enamel paint if exposed)

9) The contractor shall bid to install baked brown aluminum ridge vent (on all exposed roofs, ridges) according to Manufacturer’s Specifications. (Install with barn brown screws with a rubber washer)

10) The contractor shall bid to install 30 year TAMKO HERITAGE Architectural Shingles or (EQUAL TO) with brown aluminum ridge vent, along with new roof jacks and drip edge. A shingle, drip edge and color sample must be turned in with all bids. Shingle colors will be 30 yr Tamko Heritage Rustic Hickory or (EQUAL To).

11) The contractor shall bid to install all new aluminum plumbing roof jacks, aluminum square vent jacks and (lace electric boots if needed). All roof jacks, vent stacks, shall be sprayed with brown baked enamel paint. 12) The contractor shall bid new roof flashing for the furnaces, water heaters with new storm collar and new aluminum vent caps.

13) The contractor shall bid to use 30 year brown silicone caulking on all exposed roofing nails and roofs jacks.

14) The contractor shall bid to extend shingles to 3/4” past the metal drip edge.

15) The contractor shall bid to install colored starter shingles to match Architectural Shingles.

16) The contractor shall bid to install the shingles with a 1-1/4” roofing nails (pneumatically driven nails are acceptable, staples will not be allowed).

17) The contractor shall bid to install all new materials according to the Manufacturer’s Specifications.

18) The contractor shall maintain a straight shingles courses. Contractor shall chalk line every (4) courses. (To maintain a straight line) If contractor does not maintain a straight shingles course, the contractor will be ask to removed and reinstall new shingles to correct the problems (At the expense of the contractor)

19) The contractor shall bid to removed/install new white seamless Aluminum guttering and white Aluminum Downspouts shall be minimum thickness of .02. On 1-br apartments and office (SEE GUTTERING DETAIL)

20) The contractor shall bid to installed 5” minimum width at top of the colored, Seamless aluminum guttering.

21) The contractor shall bid to install guttering supported with 1”x 3/16” hangers or spikes at the maximum spacing of 2’0” centers.

22) The contractor shall bid to install guttering with a ½” below slope line in the roof with a slope rate of 1/16” per feet to downspouts. (Install aluminum guttering under roof drip edge).

23) The contractor shall bid to install 3”X4” color aluminum downspouts to be mounted with aluminum straps at a 6’ spacing. Also install elbows, (Install 4-screws at all joints) to divert water into the splash blocks.

24) The contractor shall bid to install water divert on the new guttering at all roof valleys.

25) The contractor shall bid to install new concrete splash blocks for downspouts. SPECIFICATIONS: Roofing 1) FELT a) #15 paper

The General Contractor, as Bidder, agrees to perform all work as shown and called for in the Plans and Specifications for the Cherokee Nation, that is shown to be the Base Bid. The Work will be completed within 35 working days of acceptance of this proposal, a fully executed contract, and receipt of a Notice to Proceed. The Bidder agrees to furnish all labor, licenses and materials, administration, services, supplies, equipment, transportation and quality control necessary to provide labor and material for the following: “Removal and Installation of new Shingles and Removal and Installation of new Seamless Guttering” at Leon Daniels Heights Tahlequah, OK. The Work will be completed within 35 working days with two payments will be made on this project. One payment at 50% upon completion inspection of this project and one payment at 100% completion of the project, with the approval and final inspection done by the Low Rent Housing Authority of Cherokee Nation Inspector. Warranty information pertaining to this project must be submitted with final invoice.
