This is the last Will and Testament of Midgley me Jonathan Midgeley of East Keswick in the County of York Farmer – Wherefore I give devise and bequeath all my real property and estate whatsoever or wheresoever to my sons John and James to pay in manner and firm following that is_say after my disease to pay all my just depts duse and demands and funeral expensess and to pay to my daughters Mary and Ann each 110 pounds Mary and Ann to have each of them bedstead feather bed bolster two pillows and caseis two sheets two blankits one quilt each and hangings to each bedstead each of them a chist of drawers and half dozen silver tea spoons and to my son Robert 50 pound to my daughter Elebeth 50 pounds to my son Thomas childer 5 shillings each my daughters Mary and Ann to have the Chineah be twixt them equaly devided and sugar tongs betwixt them, my son John to have silver point, James to have two silver table spoons John and James to have clock and desk the other beds and beding and bedsteads and hangings the rest of the furniter and living to be devided into three parts Mary and Ann to have one third of them betwixt them I also appoint my sons John and James to be Executers of this my Will In witness whereof I the said Jonathan Midgeley the testater have hereunto set my hand this twentith ninth day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty eight – Jonathan Midgley – Signed by the said Jonathan Midgeley the testater as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us being present at the same time who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses – Richard Stead – David Hainsworth Pass’d 10th May 1850
