Dean’s Award for Outstanding Leadership and Contributions to the International Graduate Student Community

The Dean’s Award recognizes and rewards the specific contributions of graduate students who have had a significant positive impact on the lives of international graduate students at McMaster. This year up to three awards are available.

Program/Department of Nominator Description of the nominee’s impact on the experiences of international graduate students. How did they contribute to the spirit, morale, cohesion, quality of life and/or positive outcomes for graduate students?

Criteria The nomination may be made by a current graduate student or faculty member at McMaster University.

Eligibility The nominee should have engaged in activities that had a significant positive impact on the quality of the experience of international graduate students at McMaster.

Nomination Package Requirements  Nomination Cover Form  Letter of Nomination (250 words) describing the nominee’s impact on the experience of International Graduate Students.  Two letters of support by McMaster University graduate students.

Only the material described above will be considered by the Selection Committee.

All materials will be treated as confidential. The Selection Committee consists of members of the Graduate Student Association Executive and the Dean and Associate Deans of the School of Graduate Studies. Nominees may be asked to furnish copies of their CVs.

Award Each award winner will receive a certificate of appreciation and a $500 payment. All nominees will be acknowledged at the Graduate Students Awards Ceremony in October.

Applications may be dropped off at the School of Graduate Studies, Room 212 in Gilmour Hall, OR you may email the completed Nomination Package to [email protected]

Applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. on August 15, 2017
