ERIC REIMER JOINS UNIFIED PHYSICIAN MANAGEMENT’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Boca Raton, FL-(March 6, 2014) Unified Physician Management, LLC is pleased to announce that Eric R eimer has been added to the Board of Directors. Joining founding members, Kenneth Konsker, M. D., and John Briggs, M.D., Co-CEO’s; Allan Boshell, COO, Nav Rahemtulla, and Ravi Sarin; Mr. R eimer will round out the board. His addition to the Board will give UPM the broad healthcare and gr owth expertise they’ve been anticipating since bringing Ares Management, LLC on as an equity par tner last summer.

The partnership with Ares gives UPM the financial wherewithal to better service and offer new opportuniti es to its physician base while also allowing the company growth potential beyond its current market s. Together with Ares, UPM will have the capital to bring more value to client physicians by investin g in ancillary businesses such as labs, in-office mammography, ambulatory surgical centers, fertility clinics and other opportunities that enhance the OB/Gyn practice and the patient experience.

Chief Operating Officer, Allan Boshell explains, “The Ares investment and the addition of Eric to our Boar d will allow UPM to enter into more creative arrangements with payers such as risk-based contracts, population management incentives and other solution oriented payment approaches. All of these h ave upside benefits to UPM’s client physicians that otherwise would not be available”.
