Council notes – November 14, 2016 The Declaration of Elected Officials forms were read and signed by Mayor Bourassa, Councillor Stadnick, Kotz, Wudrick, MacDonald and Hofmeister, then filed. The minutes of the regular meeting of Council held on Monday, October 24, 2016 were approved as presented. Returning Officer declaration of results for the election for Councillors held on October 26 was presented to Council. SaskPower supplied information on SaskPower and plans for the future of the company. RCMP provided a Mayors report for the month of October 2016. Radville Laurier Regional Park requested support for the Christmas Cabaret to be held December 3, 2016. 4-H Saskatchewan request for support of funding to 4-H Forever Centennial Campaign. Council discussed and though a good cause will not be supporting at this time. The accounts for approval, Cheques No. 26472 to 26524, manual withdrawal and CUMC payment, totaling $77,118.10 was approved for payment. Human resources statistics were presented to Council. Issues with the horizontal drill between the CN Station and Galarneau Family Holdings to connect water to the building has caused delays. Brent and Neal have been taking 3A driver training. Rylan Neiszner completed his work experience through the school program at the Town. Brent completed his First Aid/AED/CPR Level C course. Receiving many complaints with regard to dogs running at large. Complaints received with regard to dust on Main Street. Bylaw No. 2016-19 being a Bylaw to Provide for a Code of Ethics for Members of Council, was given three readings at the meeting and passed by council members present. Dudley & Company LLP, were appointed as auditors for the Town of Radville for the year 2017. The Town of Radville appointed Bill Holliday from Holliday and Company as the Town’s Solicitor for the year 2017. The following Councillors were appointed to act as Deputy Mayor during the year 2016/2017. Allan MacDonald – January and February Hal Hofmeister – March and April Robert Stadnick – May and June Lynette Kotz – July and August Laird McLeod – September and October Warren Wudrick – November and December The Town of Radville assigned the following Councillors to a division of Town in the case of an emergency: A – Lynette Kotz B – Warren Wudrick C – Hal Hofmeister D – Allan MacDonald E – Laird McLeod F – Robert Stadnick The following Councillors were appointed to the Standing Committees for the Town of Radville for the year 2016 and 2017; the first named Councillor to act as Chair of that Committee if no other committee structure is in place: Supervisory, Finance, Administration, Economic Development – Hofmeister, Bourassa, Kotz Buildings & Equipment – Wudrick, MacDonald, Stadnick Streets, Sidewalks, Waterworks, Health & Sanitation – MacDonald, McLeod, Hofmeister Protection of Persons & Property – McLeod, Stadnick, MacDonald MacDonald Building (EMS) – Kotz, Wudrick Missouri Coteau Ambulance – McLeod, Hofmeister Radville-Laurier Regional Park – Stadnick, Wudrick Southeast Regional Library - Kotz Radville Marian Health Centre – Bourassa Emergency Measures Organization – Bourassa, Wudrick The Town of Radville renewed Wylie Thompson’s contract as Pest Control Officer at the Waste Management area for the year 2017. The Town of Radville approved a building permit for an addition to a shop on Parcel E, Plan 102001879. The Town of Radville renewed Gary’s Yard Care contract as Waste Management Supervisor for 2017.
