Agenda etc. for the workshop in Brussels November 25th - 29th 2013

N.B. Remember to keep your boarding passes / original travel documents, and receipts.

Meeting place: Representation of the European Region Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino 45/47, Rue de Pascale, 1040 Bruxelles

Practical information: Brussels Airport is very close to the city – not more than 10-15 minutes by train from the Brussels Airport to Gare du Nord SNCB . Tickets are on sale at the stations. Price: Single fare 7.80€

You may net get a refund for taxi fares, so please use public transport. You can buy tickets from Kiosks, Bootiks (at the metro stops) and some supermarkets. Buying a ticket from the driver (which is only possible in trams and buses) is more expensive. Single tickets allow passengers an unlimited number of changes of metro, tram or bus for 60 minutes (you have to stamp/swipe your card on each new means of transport). Multi-trip cards are not nominative and so can be used between more than one person. We recommend to buy a 5 trip card

5 trip card: 7.70€ Please, keep all your tickets and receipt if you want to refund your expenses for public transport.

12.15 Presentation of the teams. The participants tell about their experiences with language teaching methods and his/her preferred method

November 26th 09.00 Presentation of the materials from BP-BLTM (The project to be transferred:-) by Cecilia Leboeuf, and Kent Andersen

10.30 The Danish team presents the teaching method based on PhyEmoC

10.45 The Danish team teaches the other participants beginners Danish based on a PhyEmoC approach

11.30 The project dissemination blog (Web log), how to use a blog, participant responsibilities and walkthrough of the project communication systems; Facebook, e-mail lists, newsletter lists, etc.: Kent Andersen.

12.30 The Maltese team presents Computer Assisted Language Learning in a Context

13.00 * Lunch break

14.00 The Maltese teams teaches the other participants beginners Maltese (a few practical phrases/words) based on Computer Assisted Language Learning in a Context (The pedagogical team ETI together with the Maltese content team MCAST).

15.30 Compilation of a list of possible dissemination events or methods that will be implemented to ensure a cross country and international dissemination and impact on target groups

09.00 The French (Lycee Gerty Archimede) team presents the teaching method based on the Task based learning approach.

10.00 The French team teaches the other participants beginners French (or Creole?) based on Task based learning.

12.30 The Slovenian team presents the Simulation method

13.00 * Lunch break

14.00 The Slovenian team teaches the other participants beginners Slovenian based on a simulation

14.30 Debate on the two presented methods

15.00 Debate on strengths and weaknesses in the four presented methods

19.00 * Dinner

November 28th

09.00 Instructions on how to adapt the materials from BP-BLTM (The project to be transferred:-) and deadlines for deliveries by Cecilia Leboeuf, and Kent Andersen

11.00 Work on the project Blog and Facebook page

12.30 Each team prepares a schedule and a list of milestones to be met by that teem until next project meeting. A first version should be prepared before the kick-off workshop to save time
