Grading Policy An EOC will be given at the end of the course that will count 20% of the final grade. Homework will be given and graded daily. Daily grades will include (pop) quizzes, projects, group work, warm up problems, and other activities.

Calculation of nine-week grades: Calculation of final grades: Tests 70% 1st semester 40% Daily grades 20% 2nd semester 40% Homework 10% EOC 20%

Class/Homework Guidelines 1. Label all assignments with name, date, and assignment. Date your notes. 2. Do not empty your notebook of old work unless I have told you to do so. 3. Bring your notebook to class every day.

Classroom Guidelines 1. Bring pencil, paper, book, calculator, and notebook to class every day. 2. Pay attention at all times. Take notes when appropriate. Participate in class discussions and in group-work. Begin your homework and class work immediately when it is assigned. 3. Do not talk while I am talking. Do not get out of your desk while I am teaching. 4. Common courtesy is expected at all times. Show proper respect to me and to your classmates, and I will do the same for you. 5. Do not ask to leave the room. Get water and use the restroom before class. 6. Come to school daily. Math is a difficult subject to learn on your own. You will get behind very quickly when you are absent. 7. Completing assignments will be a necessity in order to do well in this class.. 8. Students must follow the late work/make-up work procedure of SEHS. 9. All rules in the student handbook apply in this classroom.

Tutoring: Tutoring will be available before school beginning at 7:45 and in the afternoon by appointment.

Tardiness: You should be in your seat, pencil sharpened, book, notebook, and calculator out when the bell rings. If you are tardy, you will be marked as such in the computer and disciplinary actions will be taken accordingly.

Cell Phones: I will take up cell phones at the start of class on most days. If a student refuses to turn in cell phone, and then uses it or has it out for any reason, it will be confiscated and turned in to the office.
