CALL TO ORDER
Diane Cho, Chair, called the meeting to order at 10:13 a.m.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES
Motion (I) was made by Paul Edmeades, seconded by Gary Ey and unanimously carried to approve the March 22, 2017 meeting minutes with corrections.

COMPLAINT COMMITTEE REPORT
Cynthia Shonaiya provided the status of the following complaints:

Motion (II) was made by Paul Edmeades, seconded by Magda Westerhout and unanimously carried to accept the Complaint Committee report. APPLICATION FOR ARCHITECT REGISTRATION EXAMINATION
The Board approved the following applications for the Architect Registration Examination: Nolan Wyatt Kristen Wool Daniel Cartagena Dwayne Lawrence Jesse Rangel Matthew Fine Stephen Newman David Roose Sharareh Banaei John Barr Emmanuel Bates Kwasi Hemeng Vasilka Stoychela
A motion (III) was made by Paul Edmeades, seconded by Gary Ey and unanimously carried to approve thirteen ARE candidates.
The staff will advise one ARE candidate that he needs an EESA evaluation of his degree or 2 more years of experience.
OLD BUSINESS
Discussions of the Education Matrix and the American Board of Architects issues were deferred to the next Board meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
The Education Committee rejected the CPC Application for Course Approval of Half Moon Education Inc. because they did not meet the Board’s requirements under Maryland regulations. The Education Committee will do further investigation into the CPC Application for Course Approval submitted by Building Envelope Science Institute, Inc. Paul Edmeades stated that NCARB’s Annual Meeting will be in Boston this June. NCARB will fund four delegates plus Paul Edmeades. Gary Ey will be attending as one of the funded delegates. Cynthia Shonaiya and Magda Westerhout will not be attending the conference. Diane Cho is undecided. CORRESPONDENCE

There being no further business, motion (IV) was made by Cynthia Shonaiya, seconded by Magda Westerhout, and unanimously carried to adjourn the meeting at 10:40 a.m.
