Time Management thoughts from 24/2/9

I will take away lots of organisational skill associated with getting things done on time. Liked the looking at what was important/urgent stuff and will definitely use it. Also filing away excess emails in a separate folder for a later date.

Some great ideas and exercises to consider. Re-focus thoughts on time management principles. Interesting (always!) to see and hear that other people have the same problems.

Simmetrics exercise form first thing – great and innovative model that I will definitely use with my groups. Joe slob vs Phil Cool metaphor.

Several ideas to put into practise. Some fresh approaches to time management session form Barbara and Mark’s sessions.

Enjoyed the activity this morning with the Simmetrics. Also going to try the back log file.

How to overcome procrastination for myself and for staff if they are struggling to get their teeth into a piece of work. How to tackle deadlines.

Insights into time management + it is a very individual topic and a lot of it is common sense Just do it!

Integrating TA, MBTRI, NLP with time management (in training workshops). Real work vs busy work. Particularly enjoyed Barbara’s idea-packed slot

Isolating backlogs and making mental space to focus on managing workloads.

Real work vs busy work; identifying the work that only I can do.

Ideas to develop a personal approach to time management workshop. Will also look at Mark’s new time management tool.

I’m not alone! Nice to hear procrastination affects other professionals too. Backlogs don’t have to be daunting or even dealt with!

Clearing a backlog is easy and takes on time to do at all! What a relief!!! A renewed commitment to re-assess personal organisation and whether I want to continue with some bigger on-going projects.

The advice from Mark on tackling backlogs was really useful. I will be going back to work in the morning and doing it!

Thinking about how everybody works differently – different styles. Realistically tackling workloads (backlogs) Learn to say no.

Isolate and declutter! I and so excited about isolating my inbox and starting afresh.
