Directions: Choose ONE project to complete for an individual grade.

Projects are due: ______.

1. Yearbook Snapshots of Main Characters: Assemble "yearbook snapshots" of four characters from the play. You must include the following:

 A picture of each character (famous people are fine)  Their nickname made up by you  Activities, clubs, sports, favorite music, hobbies, or pastime (you have to make this up, based on what you know about the characters)  A quote from the play for each character that shows something about them and/or what is important to him/her.  Voted "most likely to...... " by his/her class  Character's future plans  In color, no pen/pencil, typed or homemade

2. Redesign the Cover of the Play: You will submit a cover design that includes:  Front cover  Spine  Back cover  Author information on the inside with a picture of the author (not copied text from the Internet)  In color, no pen/pencil, typed or homemade

The front and back must get readers interested in the play. Be sure to add a new picture(s) to the front, author name, and a two paragraph summary on the back. Typed The spine must include the title and your name as the publisher. Typed The back cover must contain a two paragraph summary of the novel written by you. Typed The author information on the inside must contain a photo of the author and a brief biography written by you. Typed 3. Movie Soundtrack:  Make a CD mix of at least 11 songs that could be used throughout the movie version of the play. Choose songs that "tell the story" of the play.  Design a cover for the CD case…in color.  On the inside of the CD case, type a list of the songs  On a piece of paper, explain why you picked each song…not just that you like the song. At least three sentences per song. Typed, 12 font, double spaced

4. Movie Trailer or Preview:  Use movie maker software in order to make a movie trailer for the play  Burn a copy to a CD that Ms. Mendenhall can keep  2.5 minutes is the maximum time allowed unless a change is approved by Ms. Mendenhall  Since the purpose of the trailer/preview is to attract an audience to the film version of the play, scenes are usually drawn from the most exciting, or otherwise noteworthy parts of the play, but in abbreviated form.  Turn in story boards that you used while planning  Students who want to work in pairs for this assignment, must have approval from Ms. Mendenhall

If any part of your project is plagiarized, the project grade is a zero.
