Lebanon County Firefighter’s Association Awards Program

Firefighter of the Year Award

To be awarded annually by the Executive Committee with the recommendation of the Awards Committee. All Lebanon County Fire Companies are requested to submit the name of one of their active firefighters whom they feel is qualified to receive this award. A brief history of the nominee should include percentage of alarms answered, drills and meetings attended, and any other information that may be beneficial to the nominee. The name and phone number of the person making the nomination shall be included with the information.

Emergency Services Award

To be awarded annually by the Executive Committee with the recommendation of the Awards Committee. All Lebanon County Fire Companies are requested to submit the name of an active emergency services person (firefighter, fire education, fire prevention, rescue, E.M.A., Haz-Mat, E.M.S., and fire police) whom they feel is qualified to receive this award. A brief history of the nominee should include percentage of alarms answered, drills and meetings attended, and any other information that may be beneficial to the nominee. The name and phone number of the person making the nomination shall be included with the information.

Distinguished Fire Service Award

To be awarded annually by the Executive Committee with the recommendation of the Awards Committee. All Lebanon County Fire Companies are requested to submit the name of one of their members who is not an active firefighter but is active in fundraising, administration, or behind the scene workers, whom they feel is qualified to receive this award. Along with a brief history of the nominee the name and phone number of the person making the nomination shall be submitted.

Fire Chief of the Year Award

To be awarded annually by the Executive Committee with the recommendation of the Awards Committee. All Lebanon County Fire Companies are requested to submit the name of their Fire Chief or past Fire Chiefs. Along with a brief history of the nominee the name and phone number of the person making the nomination shall be submitted. Lebanon County Firefighter’s Association Medal of Valor

This medal will be presented by the Executive Committee with the recommendation of the Awards Committee. This is not an annual award. This medal will be presented only when warranted to “those firefighters who perform an act that is purely selfless, above and beyond the call of duty, and involving great personal danger.” This award shall consist of a uniform ribbon, medal, and plaque. All Lebanon County Fire Companies are requested to submit the name of the nominee along with a detailed history of an act as soon as possible to the Executive Committee or the Awards Committee along with the name and phone number of the person making the nomination.
