I have been a professional Internet Application Developer for over 12 years, working for companies such as VeriSign, Inc., Silicon Graphics, Inc., and Borland Software Corporation.

Over that time I've designed, developed, deployed and supported a wide range of complex applications and interdependent application systems, working both independently and on collaborative projects.  Worked in a collaborative development environment to successfully design, create and deploy numerous complex application systems.  Co-produced Evan-Moor’s current direct mail website.  Co-designed and co-authored applications for Evan-Moor’s web presence including shopping cart, account management system, and subscription-based online product.  Implemented, customized, and/or created from scratch internal and external application systems including content management tools, support case tracking tools, and other administrative and customer-facing systems.

February 2005 – November 2006 Senior Developer, Professional Services Manager Rent One Online, Inc. Scotts Valley, CA Primary Responsibilities:

 Managed web design teams to design and build original websites from concept to completion and deployment.  Single-handedly designed and built original websites from concept to completion and deployment.  Wrote first released version of Rent One Online’s product instructions.  Integrated Rent One Online’s availability search and online booking components into customers’ websites.  Converted documents such as leases and tax forms to XSL format for accounting system integration.  Conducted customer telephone training and handled customer support calls and emails.  Built positive relationships with customers.

September 1999 - March 2004 Internet Application Developer Borland Software Corporation Scotts Valley, CA Primary Responsibilities:

 Co-designed, developed and supported most applications on Borland's corporate website and user community website at the time, including the trial version download system and integrated user registration system, searchable partner directory, surveys, and other database driven components in Borland’s online presence.  Developed numerous internal business applications for departments within the company.  As a part of the IT Department, worked independently and collaboratively to meet the constantly changing business needs of a large software corporation.  Successfully managed several concurrent projects, establishing priorities, meeting deadlines, and defining business processes as needed in a distributed application environment.  Collaborated in creating intuitive user interface design.  Administered TeamSite content management system.  Administered WebTrends Reporting Center.  Utilized revision control systems for team projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Wrote incident tracking system for web team to log incoming requests and tasks.  Wrote applications to measure marketing campaign success by tracking web traffic using cookies to uniquely identify users, logging hits and user data in a relational database for easy reporting, and generating web pages dynamically.  Wrote all JavaScript, CGI applications, shell scripts, and some HTML formatting code.  Developed software to perform edits and updates on entire website content trees.

May 1997 - July 1998 Internet Application Developer Silicon Graphics, Inc. Mountain View, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

 Successfully co-designed and produced three revisions of corporate Website for VRML software company Cosmo Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of Silicon Graphics, Inc.  Designed web-based tools to increase productivity of website design and production professionals within Silicon Graphics.  Wrote all JavaScript code, CGI Perl applications, shell scripts, HTML formatting code, and created graphics in Adobe PhotoShop.  Researched innovative website design elements compatible with all browsers and platforms.  Website administration duties included installing web server software, adding password protection and logging traffic statistics.

February 1996 - April 1997 Webmaster Silicon Graphics, Inc. Mountain View, CA

Primary Responsibilities:

 Single-handedly updated and maintained a highly trafficked website within Silicon Graphics' Intranet.  Wrote CGI Perl applications.  Wrote, edited and formatted HTML.  Integrated Java applets, JavaScript code, cookies, frames, client-side image maps, and include statements into web documents.  Configured Netscape Fasttrak Servers.
