FPS5 Equipment List

Schools to provide:

 All personal equipment, i.e. suitable clothing, wellies or boots etc. (see attached "Field trip clothing" sheet).  Freezer bags and seals  Trowels  Clip boards  Pencils  Measuring cylinder 500ml – 1 litre

Broads Authority to provide:

 pH/ temp meters  pH water testing kit  Nitrate testing kit  Phosphate testing kit  Water depth testing kit  Random number tables  GPS  Peat corers  White guttering  1 m canes (to mark the plots)  1:25,000 Map  Cameras / camera phones  Broads plants ID chart + Plant field guides  Hand wipes  Bucket of water (for rudimentary cleaning)  Cling film (for wrapping peat cores to keep their shape)  Site map

In order to have enough equipment for pupils to work in pairs/threes, both sides should provide some of:

 Quadrats (½ x ½ m2 )  Soil thermometers,  Cameras/camera phones  One metre rules  Measuring tape 20m
