2001  January 1st: Groundbreaking for the Millennium Gate.  September 11th: A massive terrorist attack is launched against the United States of America, destroying the World Trade Center and seriously damaging the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Thousands of people die in the attacks, one of whom is a firefighter whose firefighter‟s axe will become a treasured family heirloom, eventually coming into the possession of Domenica Corsi. Shaun Christopher was prevented from boarding one of the planes which crashed into the World Trade Center by Gary Seven. As a result, he survived to command the first manned mission to Saturn aboard USS Lewis & Clark in 2020, a pivotal event in the history of human space travel.

2002  Nomad, Humanity‟s first true interstellar probe, designed by Jackson Roykirk, is launched by NASA.  In 2153, the only map of early 21st century Detroit in the database of the NX-01 Enterprise will come from this year.

2003  On January 29th, US President George W. Bush gives his State of the Union Address. He speaks about his plans to remove Iraq‟s leader Saddam Hussein from power, introducing hydrogen cars, abortion and fighting AIDS in Africa. A contemporary news article about this event by Jake Tapper appeared in the Daniels‟ 31st century database.  Lieutenant McMillan was scheduled in 1999 to be the co-pilot on a joint mission between NASA and the Europeans for a four month tour on the International Space Station that began in 2003.

2004  Loomis, a worker at a blood donor clinic in Detroit, abducts people for a group of Xindi-Reptilians who have travelled from the 22nd century to secretly develop a bioweapon to wipe out Humanity. Captain Jonathan Archer and T‟Pol, also from the 22nd century, manage to stop the Xindi before the weapon is completed. Loomis is arrested by local law enforcement.  A Thalassa colony is destroyed by the combined forces of earthquakes and the eruptions of volcanoes.

2015  On Earth, the London Kings baseball team has a good year, bolstered by the performance of rookie Buck Bokai.

2016  Donald Raymond dies on Earth.

2018  Advancements in sublight propulsion technology make sleeper ships obsolete.  The Dax symbiont is born on the planet Trill.

2019  Buck Bokai begins his first year in the Planetary Baseball league with the Crenshaw Monarchs.

2020  Buck Bokai is the key figure traded to the Gotham City Bats in a pivotal twelve player trade with the Crenshaw Monarchs. He hits 34 home runs that year for Gotham City.

2024  The Earth nation of Ireland is unified after over a century of violence. The reunification is considered to be largely the result of the use of terrorism as a political instrument.  Unrest among students across Europe causes many to avoid France as a tourist destination. The “Neo-Trotsyists” have recently unseated the “Gaullists” from power, but this as had no noticeable effect on curbing the civil unrest. A contemporary in the United States remarked that “Europe is falling apart”.  Buck Bokai plays his second season of baseball with Seibu. During this year, he is considered the first Solar system-wide batting champion.  August 30th – September 3rd: A transporter accident sends Starfleet officers Benjamin Sisko, Julian Bashir and Jadzia Dax to the San Francisco of this year. Sisko and Bashir are taken to the city‟s Sanctuary District A, where Gabriel Bell is accidentally killed because of their presence. Sisko saves history by taking Bell‟s role in the later-named eponymous Bell Riots, resulting in his photo being implemented as Bell‟s image in all future Starfleet records.

2025  Buck Bokai once again begins playing with the London Kings. He is also again awarded the title of Solar System-wide batting champion. He misses breaking Joe DiMaggio‟s consecutive game hitting streak by two games.

2026  World War III begins over the issue of genetic engineering and Human genome enhancement. Among the major players of the war is Colonel Phillip Green, whose actions led to some 37 million deaths.  The Planetary Baseball League publishes a series of baseball cards, “Greatest Heroes of the Planetary Baseball League”.  Buck Bokai, a shortstop for the London Kings, breaks Joe DiMaggio‟s baseball record for most hits in consecutive games in a season.

2030  A rating of “G” on the industrial scale corresponds with an industrial level equal to that of Earth‟s this year. 3

 According to a historical library computer file seen in ENT: “In a Mirror, Darkly, Part II”, Zefram Cochrane was born on Earth this year. However, according to TOS: “Metamorphosis”, Cochrane was 87 years old when he arrived to the Companion‟s homeworld. According to ENT: “Broken Bow”, Cochrane was still on Earth in 2119, suggesting he was actually born later in the 2030s.  According to Star Trek: Star Charts, on page 38, Ares I launches from Earth. This mission successfully lands humans on Mars.

2031  An international effort over the last few years successfully diverts some asteroid fragments from striking the Earth. The fragments are eventually diverted to Earth‟s L- 5 point and hollowed out to create six O‟Neill-style space habitats.  The Ares III mission successfully places Humans on the surface of Mars.

2032  A manned Earth mission to Mars, the Ares IV, takes place under the command of Lieutenant John Kelly. However, the orbital module of the mission, along with Lt. Kelly, vanishes in a graviton ellipse so the two remaining astronauts on the Martian surface have to be rescued. Nevertheless, Ares IV starts a crucial step in the continued Human exploration of the planets.  Ares V rescues the Ares IV mission specialists, Rose Kumagawa and Andrei Novakovich, from Mars.  The New York Yankees win the World Series in six games.  Alleged birth of Zefram Cochrane.

2033  July 4th: The American flag is updated to have 52 stars.

2035  The Tellarite Space Elevator‟s construction is completed.

2036  Having replaced the United Nations by this year, the New United Nations rules that citizens may not be held responsible for crimes committed by their race or forebears.

2037  July 23rd: The Earth spaceship ESS Charybdis, commanded by Colonel Stephen G. Richey, is launched as the third attempt to explore beyond the Sol system.  The Enterprise NX-01 from an alternate timeline emerges from a subspace corridor from the year 2154. So far back in time, the ship can do nothing but wait in the Delphic Expanse for a chance to find and destroy the first Xindi superweapon. The ship becomes a generational ship, trading for provisions and taking on alien crew to survive. By the time this NX-01 met up with the present day Enterprise, T‟Pol was the only remaining original crew member still living.

2038  The colony ship Stephen Hawking, under the command of Leander Cortés, leaves Earth for a previously uncharted star system. 4

2040  On Earth, television was said to not have lasted long beyond this year.

2042  On Earth, the final game of the World Series baseball championship is attended by only 300 spectators. It is won by the London Kings and their baseman, Buck Bokai.

2044  The Earth spaceship reaches the Theta 116 system. An unknown alien species creates an artificial environment based on the book The Hotel Royale for Colonel Stephen G. Richey, who piloted the starship, after accidentally destroying the Charybdis in the orbit of the planet Theta 116 VIII.

2047  The Hermosa Earthquake strikes the western coastline of North America, causing parts of the city of Los Angeles to sink under 200 meters of water.  According to Buck Bokai who was created by Jake Sisko‟s imagination, he could have played fine until this year if people had not lost interest in baseball.

2048  Miles O‟Brien and Kira Nerys briefly appear in San Francisco while attempting to locate the timeframe that Benjamin Sisko, Jadzia Dax and Julian Bashir materialized in. The version of 2048 they encountered was one of an alternate timeline in which the Bell Riots never occured, as O‟Brien noted that it was “not the mid-21st century that [he] had read about in school.” He added that “Earth history had its rough patches, but never that rough.”

2049  Human explorer Andrew Tautges discovers dilithium on Jupiter V (Amalthea).

2053  The Third World War on Earth ends. 600 million people are dead, numerous major cities are destroyed or heavily damaged by nuclear bombing (e.g. Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Riyadh, Karachi, New Delhi, London and New York City), most of the major governments are in ruins. One of the major combatants in the war was the Eastern Coalition, or ECON.

2056  Colonel Green addresses his followers regarding his views on eugenics.

2058  Vulcan ambassador V‟Lar begins her diplomatic career.  9th August: In conjunction with Zefram Cochrane at “Earth Station Bozeman”, the six L-5 colonies (Vanguard Colony, Colony Roykirk, the Moss-Offenhouse colony, the NicholCorp facility, the Brynner Asteroid and the Starling Habitat) take part in an experiment to create a stable subspace field. The experiment goes horribly wrong and all six habitats vanish. Among the roughly 2000 people missing and presumed dead is Christopher Brynner of Brynner Information Systems, who had moved to the lower- gravity Brynner Asteroid complex for health reasons.  In fact the Vanguard colony was not destroyed but was flung some 200 light years from Earth, with 827 out of 844 inhabitants surviving. About a month after the accident the Vanguard is boarded by Nausicaan raiders. The “tuskers” kill 252 before they are driven off.

2062  Lily Sloane begins gathering titanium for the four meter cockpit of the Phoenix six months before First Contact on April 5th, 2063.  Oldtown San Francisco experiences an enormous earthquake. Due to hard times all around from the nuclear strikes and wartime turmoil of the past decade, it will take 20 years for the city to be restored.

2063  4th April: A Borg sphere appears in orbit of Earth and attacks Bozeman, Montana, from orbit in attempt to kill Zefram Cochrane and prevent First Contact between Earth and Vulcan. The sphere is destroyed by the USS Enterprise-E, which pursued the sphere from the year 2373. Borg drones beam aboard the Enterprise and attempt to assimilate the ship, but are thwarted by Captain Jean-Luc Picard and Lt. Cmdr. Data. Meanwhile, Enterprise personnel aid in the repair of the Phoenix, Cochrane‟s ship, and convince Cochrane to go ahead with his historic first demonstration of warp drive. The influence of the future goes unrecorded in history.  5th April: Zefram Cochrane launches the Phoenix, mankind‟s first manned warp- capable ship, from Bozeman, Montana with Commander William Riker and Lt. Commander Geordi LaForge as passengers from the Enterprise-E. Its brief warp flight is detected by a Vulcan survey ship, the T’Plana-Hath, passing through the local sector, and the ship changes course to investigate. This leads to the historic First Contact between Humans and extraterrestrial life (of public record, as earlier unofficial and unbeknownst contacts had been made).  Debris from the Borg sphere, destroyed by the Enterprise-E, impacts on Earth near the North Pole. The debris remained undiscovered until 2153. 6

2064  On Earth, Zefram Cochrane mentions details about First Contact with the Vulcans on April 5th, 2063 in a commencement address at Princeton University, revealing what “really” happened during the events leading up to First Contact. He claimed that it involved “a group of cybernetic creatures from the future” who attempted to prevent the successful warp flight of the Phoenix and whose ultimate goal was the enslavement of humanity. According to Cochrane, they were defeated by a group of Humans who were also from the future and who had seemingly followed them back through time. However, his remarks were largely shrugged off by his audience given his tendency toward imaginative stories and intoxication and Cochrane recanted his own statements several years later.  Humans launch the first warp ships to explore the galaxy.

2065  The SS Valiant, one of the first deep space explorer warp ships, is launched.

2066  A small group of Ba‟ku leave their solar system that was on the verge of self- annihilation to find a world that would be isolated from all conflicts, eventually settling on a planet located in the Briar Patch that has unique metaphasis properties.

2067  The space probe Friendship 1 is launched from Earth.  The Great Awakening on Argelius II takes place, turning its population from a violent to a placid society.  Astronomer John Burke maps an area of space, including Sherman‟s Planet.

2068  The Draco lizard becomes extinct.  Former diplomatic relations are established between Vulcan and Earth.

2069  The Earth colony ship SS Conestoga is launched with the mission of colonizing the planet Terra Nova.  The Emperor of the Klingon Empire dies without any successors claiming the throne. This results in the Klingon High Council taking effective political control of the Empire.  Intersat code, a form of interstellar communication for Earth spaceships, is discontinued.  The last of the Earth-Kzin Wars ends this year with a Human victory.  The worlds Earth and Kzin come to an accord with the Treaty of Sirius.  At the peak of their empire, a Skorr philosopher named Alar starts the process of reforming his society into a nation of pacifists.  Utopia Planitia Base is founded on Mars, in the Sol system.  The Chyrellkans experience their last war.  The 100th anniversary of Earth‟s first Moon landing is celebrated at the museum located at the landing site.

 December 30th: After being swept to the edge of the galaxy by a magnetic storm, the SS Valiant encounters the galactic barrier. Captain Carlos Tarasco is forced to order the self destruction of his ship after several crew members became enhanced psionic superbeings following their encounter with the barrier.

2070  12 of the surviving escape pods from the USS Valiant make planet-fall on a planet on the far side of the galactic barrier. Proximity to the barrier causes the survivors to become psionically advanced and they develop telepathic and psychokinetic powers.

2072  The female Nacene called Suspiria leads 2,000 Ocampa from their homeworld in search of “more interesting places”. She subsequently establishes an array in space where the Ocampa live for the next 300 years under her tutelage.  Q is imprisoned inside a rogue comet by the Q Continuum after he expresses a desire to end his existence.

2073  Zefram Cochrane makes the statement “Don’t try to be a great man, just be a man and let history make its own judgements.”  Marina Raymond dies.  A group of scientists and agricultural experts which included Yoshi Nakamura traveled to Vulcan and never returned to Earth.

2075  Vanik joins the Vulcan Space Program.

2076  On Tarakis, a planet in the Delta Quadrant, 82 civilian Nakan are massacred by a military force led by Saavdra.  Bernadette Fuller is born.  The nomadic Moneans discover the Waters, a rogue artificial ocean planet built by an ancient unknown species. By the 2370s, they have built up a permanent home there, with a population of 80,000 and numerous oxygen refineries.

2077  Henry Archer, father of Captain Jonathan Archer, is born.

2078  June 23rd: The SS Conestoga reaches Terra Nova and founds Terra Nova colony.

2079  By this year, the post-atomic horror is underway in some regions on Earth with all “United Earth nonsense” being abolished and the New United Nations having ceased to exist.  In this year, the number of stars on the United States of America flag changes from the 52 displayed since 2033.

2083  Earth‟s Space Agency plan to send a second wave of 200 settlers to Terra Nova colony. Mark Logan leads a group of colonists opposed to the arrival of newcomers, even threatening to use force against them. After a series of hostile communications, contact with the colony ceases for decades.  Around this time, Human and alien starship crews begin to serve together. One of the earliest examples was Vulcan communications officer Supak serving aboard the UNSS Pollux, under the command of Captain Shu Tse Sum.  Decommissioning of Keller-class ambulance vessels begin.

2086  On Acamar III, a blood feud between the Lornak and Tralesta clans begins, which will eventually end 200 years later with the near extinction of the Tralesta.

At the same time, the Peladians also establish a colony on the planet, but neither side would become aware of each other for several years.  The ECS Horizon, an Earth J-class cargo starship, is commissioned.  The Earth DY-500-C class survey ship SS Hokule’a is launched for deep space exploration under the command of Captain Melinda Snodgrass.

2103  The first permanent Human colony on the planet Mars is established, marking the birth of the Martian colonies.  The Fundamental Declarations of the Martian colonies is passed this year too.  The Xindi-Primate Degra is born.

2104  Around this time, the Andorians established contact with the Aenar. The Aenar were previously only known to the Andorians as creatures from ancient myths and stories.  Shortly before or in this year, a Vulcan science vessel surveys Berengaria VII, describing its dragon-like reptiles as over two hundred meters in length and breathing fire.

2105  The Redjac entity, incarnated as “Jack the Ripper”, kills eight women at the Martian colonies.  The Earth colony ship VK Yuri Gagarin is launched from Earth under the command of Captain Winrich Kolbe.  The Taurean system is briefly explored and a spaceship is lost near there. Over the next 164 years, a ship will disappear in this region exactly every 27.346 years.  A colony is established on New Paris by the Human starliner Lafayette.

2109  San Francisco experiences a catastrophic earthquake. Mayor Romanova leads the rebuilding of the city.  After eight years, Human and Peladian settlers finally encounter each other on Archaria III. A series of small wars follow.

2111  Gralik Durr becomes the primary technician of the kemocite refining facility on a Xindi-Arboreal colony.

2112  Jonathan Archer, future captain of the NX-01 Enterprise and President of the United Federation of Planets, is born in upstate New York on Earth.  Vulcans accuse Andorians of an incursion on Weytahn (which the Vulcans call Paan Mokar) and violation of the Treaty of 2097.  The Bajorans establish semi-regular contact with the Cardassian Union.

2119  The Warp Five Complex is officially opened by Zefram Cochrane as part of the NX Program. Some time after this, Cochrane leaves the Alpha Centauri colony for an unknown destination. He is later presumed dead, but is discovered in 2267 by the USS Enterprise on a planetoid in the Gamma Canaris system.  The Earth survey ship SS Tomobiki is launched.  Humans make first contact with the Orion colonies, located in the Rigel system.

2120  The Earth survey ship HMS Lord Nelson and SS Seattle are launched.  On his 8th birthday, Jonathan Archer receives a copy of The Cosmos A to Z from his father Henry Archer. Jonathan spends hours staring at its front cover depicting the Arachnid Nebula.

2121  Charles „Trip‟ Tucker, future chief engineer aboard the Enterprise (NX-01), is born in Panama City, Florida, on Earth.  Together with his father Henry Archer, nine-year-old Jonathan builds a model- spaceship.  Over the next year, a number of scientific probes are sent out from Earth, Vulcan and the Alpha Centauri system as part of a joint scientific project.

2122  T‟Pau is born on Vulcan.  The planet Agaron begins to negotiate an alliance with the Vulcans.

2123  Liana, the daughter of Ezral and Maya, is born.  The European Hegemony introduces a new distress beacon for starships working for this Earth-based alliance.  November 27th – the colony ship SS Mariposa is launched from Earth‟s Baikonur Cosmodrome on a colonization mission to the Ficus sector.

2124  Henry Archer, Jonathan Archer‟s father, dies of Clarke‟s Disease.  Xesophia, one of Phlox‟s wives, drowns on Denobula. 11

2125  Alana Hart is born in Lake Armstrong, Luna.  An unknown disease kills 200 of the crew of the Human outpost on Pluto. It was later revealed to be brought aboard the station by a careless Orion trader.

2126  Travis Mayweather is bown on the ECS Horizon half-way between Draylax and Vega colony.  Trip Tucker‟s mother buys a copy of Emory Erickson: Father of the Transporter for her seven-year-old son. For the next month, Trip makes her read it to him every night before bed.  Birth of Patricia F. O‟Malley.  T‟Pol‟s teeth are sealed with a trifluorinate compound.  The Andorian prophet Umarin is born in the city of Tarsk on Andor.

2129  July 9th – Hoshi Sato is born in Kyoto, Japan.  A Kantare supply ship crash-lands on an uninhabited planet halfway between Kantare and Kotara Barath stranding its only two survivors, Ezral and Liana, on the planet‟s surface for the next 22 years.

2132  The Paraagan mining colony on Paraagan II is established by a group of thirty miners.  A starship disappears near the Taurean region.  Duffy is born.

2133  A Klingon vessel emerges from the Delphic Expanse with its crew being anatomically inverted, but still alive. The Klingon High Council subsequently forbids any attempts at entering the Expanse.

2134  Dr. Arik Soong steals a number of Augment embryos from Cold Station 12.  Jonathan Archer, as a senior undergraduate, competes – probably for Stanford University – in the 2134 North American Water Polo Regionals against Princeton University. His team‟s last-minute victory ensures them a place in the finals of the same tournament.

2135  T‟Pol tracks down the fugitive Vulcan operatives Menos and Jossen to Risa and pursues them into the planet‟s jungles. She kills Jossen (thinking he was reaching for a weapon ) but Menos escapes.  The Earth starship HMS New Zealand is launched.

2136  The Vulcan Captain Vanik assumes command of the starship Ti’Mur.

 At age 24 and in flight school in San Francisco, Jonathan Archer meets Margaret Mullin, with whom he becomes romantically envolved. The night before he graduates, he asked her to marry him. She turns him down, as she does not want to become a “Starfleet widow”.  Naara and Degra wed.  April 11th: At Evington Academy, Malcolm Reed is savagely beaten and nearly drowned by a group of older students led by Leslie Morris.

2137  Syrran discovers a katric ark on Vulcan containing the katra of Surak, and takes Surak‟s katra into his own mind.  The Earth starship SS Buckaroo Banzai is launched.

2138  Yolen starts his studies in geology.  April 11th: Malcolm Reed takes revenge on Leslie Morris after his near-drowning two years earlier, only to realize that he has sunk to Morris‟ level.

2139  Emory Erickson attempts to top his earlier achievement by inventing a sub-quantum teleportation device, which was intended to make his transporter obsolete. However, his invention is a failure when he loses his son in subspace.  Charles Tucker III joins Starfleet.

2141  The ECS Horizon encounters a group of Deltans. Fifteen-year old Travis Mayweather finds them very attractive and very open, so he tries to overcome his feelings with a hard workout.

2142  Commander Shran assumes command of the Andorian Imperial Warship Kumari.

2143  The NX Program breaks the warp 2 barrier with the NX-Alpha pathfinder starship. Piloted by A.G. Robinson, NX-Alpha breaks apart after it reaches warp 2.2. Shortly after, Jonathan Archer and Robinson achieve warp 2.5 with NX-Beta on an unauthorized flight. The NX prototypes are grounded for three months after the incident.  Jonathan Archer meets Charles Tucker III for the first time.  Phlox and his son Mettus stop speaking to each other over a disagreement on Denobulan prejudices about Antarans.

2144  Duvall breaks warp 3 in the NX-Delta after 8 months of pressure from the Vulcans to conduct further simulations.  The Suliban Cabal begins a war against the Tandarans. All Suliban are subsequently rounded up and placed in detention camps, even those not in the Cabal.

The Klingon doctor Antaak also attends the conference, disguised as a member of the Mazarite delegation.  Harris quits his service at Starfleet Security.  Emory Erickson first attempts to re-materialize his son Quinn aboard his research ship.  Patricia F. O‟Malley graduates from Starfleet Academy.

2150  The final selection for the captaincy of the Enterprise NX-01 takes place between the Captains A.G. Robinson and Jonathan Archer. Admiral Maxwell Forrest gave the post to Archer, although Captain Gardner was originally considered the most suitable choice by Ambassador Soval.  Travis Mayweather‟s father sends a letter to Archer strongly recommending his son for the helmsman position on the Enterprise.  The last of Earth‟s nations, Australia, joins the United Earth Government.

2151  April o Humanity unofficially makes first contact with the Klingon Empire when Klaang crash-lands in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. o Earth Starfleet launches Enterprise NX-01, its first starship to use the warp 5 engine, opening up a new year of exploration for Earth. Enterprise also begins Humanity‟s 14

involvement in the Temporal Cold War with the first encounter with the Suliban Cabal.  June o Earth reestablishes contact with the lost Terra Nova colony. o Humanity makes first contact with the Andorians; the Andorian Imperial Guard finally corrobates the existence of a Vulcan surveillance post at P‟Jem.  August o The crew of Enterprise prevent the crew of ECS Fortunate initiating hostilites between the Nausicaans and Earth Cargo Service freighters.  October o The Andorians destroy the facility on P‟Jem, though they give sufficient warning for personnel present to evacuate first.  December o Enterprise has an encounter with the Ferengi, though the name of the species is not discovered until 2364.  Other Earth first contacts this year include the Akaalis, the Axanar, the Coridans, the Eska, the Kantare, the Malurians, the Menk, the Valakians and the Xyrillians.

2152  January o Enterprise NX-01 arrives on a planet to scavenge material from a derelict Kantare supply ship. They offer the castaways to make repairs and ultimately rescue Ezral and Liana. o Captain Jonathan Archer is instrumental in the liberation of Detention Complex 26 on Tandar Prime which later gives him a reputation of legendary proportions as an invincible warrior. o Enterprise makes first contact with the Kreetassans, which ends in a misunderstanding. During their departure a symbiotic lifeform attaches to Enterprise. It captures and assimilates four of the crew (Archer, Tucker, Rostov and Kelly) but eventually it is transported to its homeworld.  February o On its way to Risa, Enterprise is ordered to retrieve Vulcan Ambassador V‟Lar, who stands accused of criminal misconduct, from the planet Mazar. Enterprise becomes the first Earth starship to reach the speed of warp 5 while fleeing from Mazarite vessels. o Enterprise picks up a distress call from an alien craft. After the rescue and repairs, Zobral invites Archer and Tucker for a meal in the desert of Cygniai Expanse. In the process he requests their assitance with the war against the Torothans. In the process the Torothans attack the encampment. Archer and Tucker are lost in the desert before being rescued by a shuttlepod. o Enterprise arrives to Risa and some of her crew members take a shore leave. Archer is approached by an attractive Tandaran agent, Keyla; Tucker and Reed are robbed; Sato flirts with an alien man.  March o The mining colony on Paraagan II is destroyed by the Suliban Cabal in an effort to frame the crew of Enterprise and discredit their mission. o Enterprise visits Tessik Prime. Crewman Fisher came down with a case of Rigelian fever, necessitating the inoculation of the entire crew by Doctor Phlox with a vaccine containing millions of genetically-altered microbes.  April 15

o The first known contact between vessels representing Earth and the Romulan Star Empire occurs. Visual contact between crews is not made. o After the damage inflicted by the Romulan minefield, Enterprise visits a mysterious automated repair station. During the repairs, Travis Mayweather is abducted. o Enterprise visits Kreetassa in a failed attempt to trade plasma injectors only to end in an other misunderstanding because Porthos, Captain Archer‟s dog, watered their Alvera trees. Archer eventually proceeds with a long and ritualistic apology, which is accepted. o Being in need of deuterium, the crew of the Enterprise helps some alien mining colonists how to defend themselves against Klingon harassers. o On Pernaia Prime, Archer helps T‟Pol apprehend Menos, a Vulcan fugitive. o Enterprise visits a pre-warp planet. Reed loses his communicator, which causes him and Archer to be arrested as spies of “The Alliance”. To avoid cultural contamination, they play along until a cloaked Suliban cell ship, piloted by Tucker, rescues them.  August o Enterprise approaches a trinary system housing a Class IV black hole for observations. The radiation affects the behaviour of the crew except T‟Pol. When all the crew is unconscious, she revives Archer and together they pilot the ship outside the stellar influence. However Reed‟s earlier obsession with the ship‟s security results in a system which becomes standard procedure in the ship as tactical alert.  September o Enterprise answers a distress call from a Retellian cargo ship, Tucker goes to help with the repairs but uncovers the abduction of Kaitaama, the First Monarch of Krios Prime. The two end up on a planet until rescued by the crew of the Enterprise. Eventually (September 12th) a Kriosian battle cruiser transports Kaitaama back to her planet. o (18th) The crew of the Enterprise attempts to visit an unexplored planet with a group of stranded Takrets warn them about a perilious neutronic wave front. The crew retires to the safety of the ship‟s reinforced catwalk while members of the Takret Militia board the ship looking for the fugitives. o While testing a prototype auto-pilot, Tucker‟s shuttle is downed by an Arkonian pilot on one of a gas giant‟s 62 moons. Both men try to fix their respective ships, stalled by the alien‟s distrust and hostile nature. Enterprise‟s search efforts are further hampered by the selenium isotope on the moons‟ atmospheres, but eventually Tucker manages to use the alien‟s transceiver. o Interspecies Medical Exchange conference on Dekendi III. Feezal Phlox comes on board Enterprise and reunites with her husband; she helps Tucker install a neutron microscope. T‟Pol‟s suffering from Pa‟nar Syndrome is revealed and Archer tries to secure her position on the ship. o With the help of Archer as a mediator between the Andorians and Vulcans, Ambassador Soval and Commander Shran agree on a cease fire between the Vulcans and Andorians on Paan Mokar. Enterprise under Tucker stops an orbital conflict between the two forces. Shran and Soval end their negotiations in positive mood, setting the stage for future generations.  October-December

o Enterprise finds a small craft from the future adrift in space, and both the Suliban and the mysterious Tholians are intent on retrieving it. First contact between an Earth vessel and the Tholian Assembly occurs. o Captain Archer and Commander Tucker visit Keto-Enol, and have a successful first contact with the Enolians. On their way out, they are arrested for what the Enolian Guard thought was contraband. On their way to Canamar on an Enolian transport, Kuroda hijacks the ship. With the help of an official, Enterprise finds the transport and rescues the crew. o Enterprise is apprehended by the Wisp ship. The Wisps attempt to take over her crew and continue their existence. Dr. Phlox, advised by T‟Pol, floods the ship with CO2 and frees all the crew of the Wisps‟ influence. Enterprise quickly pulls away from their ship and destroys it by firing two spatial torpedoes into the interior. o Jonathan Archer is convicted in a Klingon tribunal of assisting Arin‟Sen renegades fleeing from Raatooras. He is incarcerated in imprisonment on Rura Penthe but flees. Relationships between the Klingon Empire and Earth continue to deteriorate.  Other Earth first contacts this year include the Arkonians, the Kriosians, the Kreetassans, the Retellians, the Risians, Wisps and the Takret.

2153  The construction of the second NX-class starship, Columbia, begins.  January o Enterprise makes a detour to gather scientific data on a planet that recently shifted orbit to relocate between two gas giants and where there is a lot of volcanic activity to be expected. Travis Mayweather asks for a leave to visit ECS Horizon. The cargo ship is attacked by pirates. o The Enterprise “rescues” three Denobulan scientists of the Denobulan Science Academy from the caves of Xantoras; meanwhile the Enterprise aids a ship which has problems with a reactor leak above the planet. o The Enterprise makes first contact with the Vissians when they both study a supergiant. Relations are tainted by Trip Tucker‟s interest in one cogenitor in the Vissian starship.  March o The wreckage of a Borg sphere is discovered at the North Pole on Earth having been buried there for 90 years. The surviving Borg manage to steal a transport and escape Earth before they are intercepted. Enterprise catches up with them and manages to destroy the Borg-assimilated transport, but the Borg manage to send a subspace signal to the Delta Quadrant that will take 200 years to arrive. o Archer and T‟Pol study the Robinson Nebula, as they name it, composed of dark matter. o The Enterprise explores an uninhabited planet on which Phlox and T‟Pol are contaminated. Archer is captured by Skaalar who intends to give him back to the Klingons. However in the process he helps him escape and return to the Enterprise. o The war between the various Triannon factions comes to an end with the destruction of the surface of the planet. 17

o An alternate timeline Enterprise commanded by Lorian attempts to stop the Xindi weapon from attacking Earth in the Delphic Expanse. The weapons are ineffective against the probe and Lorian has no choice but to set a collision course. His emotions take over and by the time he realizes his mistake, the probe had gone. o Earth is attacked by the Xindi probe from the Delphic Expanse. The attack decimates a large area between Florida and Venezuela, killing seven million people.  April o Enterprise begins its search for the Xindi weapon in the Delphic Expanse.  October o In an alternate timeline, Enterprise captain Jonathan Archer’s brain is infected by interspatial parasites, causing him to contract anterograde amnesia. o Enterprise discoveres a group of Humans, abducted in the 19th century from Earth‟s Wild West by the Skagaran race, and brought to the Delphic Expanse. o T‟Pol secretly begins to inject herself with Trellium.  November o The Xindi-Reptilian scientist Damron travels to Earth in the year 2004 in an attempt to wipe out the Humans, though he is foiled by the intervention of Daniels.  Other first contacts made by Earth this year include the Antarans, the Osaarians, the Sphere Builders, and the Vissians.

2154  January o En route to Azati Prime, the Enterprise NX-01 discovers a derelict Xindi-Insectoid ship on the surface of an uninhabited planet and apprehend a Xindi- Insectoid shuttlecraft. They discover a hatchery; one of the tendrils attached to one of the Insectoid eggs squirts Jonathan Archer with a mild neurotoxin which makes him obsessive about their protection. He authorizes MACOs until Tucker, Reed and T‟Pol resume command. o The Enterprise arrives to Azati Prime and thanks to the shuttlecraft, they inspect the installation. Jonathan Archer decides to sabotage the Xindi weapon but is apprehended. In the process he gains Degra‟s trust. The Enterprise is heavily damaged in the Battle of Azati Prime where about 18 hands are lost. However the attack is recalled by the Xindi-Primates. o As the crew of the Enterprise repairs the ship, Archer is delivered by the Xindi-Aquatics in an escape pod. After he is recovered, Hoshi Sato discoveres a hidden message by Degra in the pod inviting him to a meeting in three days. Being unable to arrive in time, Archer decides to pirate an Illyrian starship to steal the primary warp coil. o The crew holds a memorial for their dead shipmates. Enterprise arrives at a Delphic Expanse sphere, where it meets Degra‟s ship. Archer briefs Degra about what he knows about the Delphic Expanse and the Sphere Builders who are planning an invasion. Degra and Jannar offer to stop the launch of the weapon if Archer can prove that the Xindi have been manipulated. After revealing about the Xindi bioweapon and other discoveries, Degra invites 18

Archer to meet the Xindi Council to share his knowledge. A Xindi-Reptilian warship arrives at the sphere, but is shot and finished off by Degra. o On her way to the Xindi Council planet, the Enterprise meets herself from an alternate timeline generated by the subspace corridor she was prepared to follow. The crew of the two versions of the ship disagree on the proper way to pass through the Kovaalan Nebula. T‟Pol was unable to achieve more than 86% reduction of the particle wake with the impulse manifold modifications but her elder version shows where to place an isomagnetic collector (a piece of Ikaaran technology) to reduce any residual particles. Lorian‟s Enterprise helps Archer‟s Enterprise to pass the corridor however she doesn‟t emerge to the other side. The Enterprise meets with Degra.  February o Corporal F. Hawkins is killed while defending Malcolm Reed and T‟Pol on a sphere. o Major J. Hayes is killed on February 13th of this year. o The Xindi weapon is destroyed by Jonathan Archer and his crew as it approached Earth, thereby blighting the plan of the Sphere Builders to annihilate Humanity and to prevent the Federation from forming in 2161. o In an alternate timeline, Earth is destroyed by the Xindi, who then proceed to wipe out most of the rest of Humanity. o After the intervention of Enterprise in an alternate 1944, the Temporal Cold War ostensibly comes to an end. o Enterprise finally returns to Earth after the conclusion of the Xindi incident.  May o Two unarmed Augments single-handedly hijack a Klingon Bird-of-Prey and kill its crew, setting in motion the events that will alter Klingon physiology for a period of time. o Relations between Earth and the Klingon Empire nearly boil over into war because of intervention by Arik Soong and the Augments.  July o Administrator V‟Las of the Vulcan High Command, while taking Romulan advice, orchestrates the bombing of the United Earth embassy on Vulcan to discredit the Syrrannite movement and their interpretation of Surakian logic. The High Command also attempts to assault Andoria, to destabilize the region, but when the Syrrannites recover the Kir’Shara, a relic containing the original writings of Surak, the High Command is forced to disband. o Enterprise travels to the Barrens, where the inventor of the transporter, Emory Erickson, tries to search for his lost son. o The Organians observe the crew of Enterprise react to an infection on board.  November o The Romulans continue their attempts to destabilize Earth‟s region of space. A Romulan drone-ship attacks Andorian and Tellarite travelers to a planned peace conference on Babel. Other ships attacked include a Rigelian ship. A Human, Vulcan, Andorian and Tellarite alliance is formed to help the species work together to locate the drone ship and lead to talks on board Enteprise. o The Columbia NX-02 is launched from drydock. o Enterprise doctor Phlox is kidnapped and forced to help the Klingons discover a cure for a virus spreading through the Empire.  Important Earth first contacts this year include the Illyrians, the Na‟kuhl, the Orions and the Organians.

2155  The xenophobic Terra Prime movement, under the leadership of John Frederick Paxton, attemps to expel all non-humans from the Sol system by commandeering the verteron array on Mars. Their plan was foiled by the crew of the starship Enterprise.  Talks about the formation of a Coalition of Planets take place on Earth. Participating representatives include Humans, Vulcans, Andorians, Tellarites, Rigelians, Denobulans and Coridanites.  Decontamination of Cold Station 12 is completed.  In the mirror universe, the ISS Enterprise travels into Tholian space in search for a Terran vessel – the Constitution-class USS Defiant from the prime-universe 23rd century. The Enterprise is destroyed and most of the senior staff retrieve the Defiant. Hoshi Sato declares herself Empress of the Terran Empire after seizing control of the USS Defiant and ordering Starfleet’s unconditional surrender.  In the alternate timeline where Earth was destroyed by the Xindi, Enterprise NX-01 begins leading a fugitive colony to the Ceti Alpha system.

2156  The Earth-Romulan War begins.  The Redjac entity, incarnated as “Jack the Ripper”, kills ten women in Heliopolis on Alpha Eridani II.  Talla, the daughter of Shran, an Andorian, and Jhamel, an Aenar, is born. Shran leaves the Andorian Imperial Guard around this time.

2157  The Illyrian ship disabled by Enterprise NX-01 in 2154 was slated to have returned to the Illyrian star system in this year.

2158  Shran fakes his own death in order to protect his family from criminals, business partners who believe he stole the Teneebian amethyst.

2159  A starship disappears near the Taurean region.

2160  The Earth survey ship VK Velikan is launched.  The humiliating defeat of the Romulans at the Battle of Cheron effectively ends the Earth-Romulan War. This victory was achieved by an alliance comprised of Earth, Vulcan, Andorian and Tellarite function.

2161  The United Federation of Planets is officially formed (treaties signed and ratified) in San Francisco by representatives of Earth, Vulcan, Andorian and Tellar.  Starfleet Academy is established.  Charles Tucker III dies.  Enterprise NX-01 is retired from space. 20

2164  Jonathan Archer is made an honorary member of the Andorian Imperial Guard by General Thy‟lek Shran.  On Ligon II, supersedence is challenged by the First One, the ruling female of her planet.  A Federation scout contacts the civilizations of Ornara and Brekka in the Delos system. The ship reports that Ornara is on the brink of spaceflight.  A plague erupts on Ornara. The plague kills many until a cure, felicium, is discovered on Brekka.

2165  Sarek of Vulcan is born.  An unnamed humanoid species colonizes planets in the Omega Sagitta system.  Guinan meets Q for the first time.  The colony ship SS Mariposa attempts to land on a planet in a star system half a light year from Bringloid.  In an alternate timeline, Jonathan Archer, suffering from anterograde amnesia, found himself living on Ceti Alpha V, the last refuge of Human survivors from the Xindi’s destruction of Earth. He re-boarded Enterprise NX-01 and underwent a procedure to reverse his condition during the last stand against the Humans’ pursuers. This had the additional effect of reversing the events of the 12 years he spent with the condition.

2167  The Federation starship USS Essex is destroyed by an electromagnetic storm caused by noncorporeal beings in orbit of a Class M moon of Mab-Bu VI.  The Federation starship Archon visits planet Beta III. The ship is destroyed and its crew is melded into the planet‟s society by the powerful computer Landru.

2168  Briam of Krios Prime is born.  The starship Horizon visits Sigma Iotia II, a planet that was home to a pre-warp society. One of the ship‟s crew members accidentally leaves behind a book, Chicago Mobs of the Twenties. The Horizon is lost shortly after leaving the planet, but transmits a radio frequency distress call that will not be received by Starfleet until almost 100 years later. The incident at Sigma Iotia II implies that the Prime Directive hadn‟t been established yet by that time.  The white rhinoceros becomes extinct on Earth.  The Genome colony on Moab IV is founded.

2169  A Vulcan science vessel attempts to seal a subspace rupture in the Hanoli system. The attempt fails and the rupture expanded exponentially, obliterating the entire system. The science vessel is destroyed.  Flint had a bottle of Saurian brandy from this year.  Jonathan Archer is named Federation ambassador to Andoria.  Starfleet introduces a laser weapon which will not be superseded for at least one hundred years.

2170  A group of North American Indians leave Earth in order to preserve their cultural identity and to find a new home. 180 years later, they eventually settle on Dorvan V near the Cardassian border.  A neutron star in a binary star system located in the Kavis Alpha sector explodes.

2171  The United Federation of Planets establishes a diplomatic relationship with the Tholian Assembly.

2172  The Bajoran poet Akorem Laan disappears in the Denorius belt following an ion storm. He reemerges from the Bajoran wormhole in 2372, but is sent back to this year by the Prophets.

Upon arrival, the “star” is found not to exist and to be only an electromagnetic echo of a distant galaxy. Jack chooses not to wake the rest of the crew before returning, after a further six-month journey, back to Earth.

2237  After playing a practical joke on someone, Spock is branded as a “practical joker” in his hometown of Shi‟Kahr on Vulcan.  The pet sehlat I-Chaya given to Spock by his father, Sarek, is killed when he defended the young boy from a le-matya. 24

His wife, Sarah April, is the vessel‟s first medical officer.  Pavel Andreievich Chekov is born to Andrei Chekov in Russia, on Earth.  The Battle of Donatu V is fought between Federation and Klingon forces near Sherman‟s Planet. The battle ends without results.  Emory Dax visits Earth to judge a gymnastics competition at the University of Mississippi, where she meets Leonard McCoy. She told him he “had the hands of a surgeon”. Afterward, he began his career in medicine.  Jonathan Archer dies, one day after observing the christening of the Enterprise.

2246  Doctor Tristan Adams begins to revolutionize and humanize prisons and the treatment of prisoners by developing new methods to treat the criminally insane.  James T. Kirk – at the age of 13 – is one of the nine surviving eyewitnesses to a massacre of some 4,000 colonists of Tarsus IV by Governor Kodos. Among the executed people are the family of Hoshi Sato, ex-communications officer of the NX- 01 Enterprise.

2247  Lenore Karidian is born.  The first of many thousand of lives lost in the Eminiar-Vendikar War in the Eminiar systam of Star Cluster NGC 321 is recorded by the United Federation of Planets. Years later, they became friends when cadet Mitchell attended Lieutenant Kirk‟s philosophy class at Starfleet Academy.  Spock enters Starfleet Academy, instead of enrolling at the Vulcan Science Academy, against Sarek‟s wishes.

2251  Christopher Pike assumes command of USS Enterprise, and takes the ship on its second five-year mission.  Leonard McCoy participates in a medical mission to Dramia II to lead an inoculation program for the Saurian virus, on that planet. Nineteen years later, in 2270, he was put under arrest by Commander Demos and held resposible for the outbreak of the auroral plague.

2252  The Sky Spirits visit Earth in search of their Inheritors. They are disappointed when there are no significant signs of them.  Charles Evans is the sole survivor of a crash on planet Thasus.  James Kirk, still in his freshman year at Starfleet Academy, has a romantic relationship with Ruth and is tormented by an older cadet named Finnegan.

The landing party‟s ambush leads to seven injuries and three deaths, including Pike‟s yeoman.  The Enterprise, en route to Vega colony to hospitalize the Rigel VII victims, is diverted by an 18-year old distress call from the SS Columbia, crashed on Talos IV.  Ensign James T. Kirk is assigned with Lieutenant Commander Benjamin Finney to the USS Republic.  While aboard the training vessel Republic during a change of watches, Ensign Kirk relieves Commander Finney and notes that a circuit, which should have been closed to the atomic matter piles, is opened. After closing the circuit, Kirk logs the incident.  Commander Finney is reprimanded for the incident aboard the Republic.  Leonard McCoy becomes romantically involved with the future Nancy Crater.  The Nexus crosses through the galaxy for the last time before claiming James T. Kirk, as well as nearly 400 El-Aurians.

2255  The Treaty of Armens is established between the Sheliak Corporate and the United Federation of Planets. The treaty cedes several Class H planets from the Federation to the Sheliak. The treaty contains 500,000 words and took 372 Federation legal experts to draft. Upon concluding the treaty, the Sheliak ended communication with the Federation. Talks between the two would not happen again until the year 2366 when a dispute arose over a Human colony on Tau Cygna V.  Ensign James T. Kirk is promoted to lieutenant.  Lieutenant James T. Kirk commands his first planetary survey mission to Neural, where he meets Tyree.

2257  200 crewmembers of the USS Farragut are killed at Tycho IV by a dikironium cloud creature. The Farragut first officer commends Lieutenant James T. Kirk for his actions at Tych IV.  The Shakespearian troup Karidian Company of Players, sponsored by the Galactic Cultural Exchange Project, begins its tour of official installations.

His spacecraft crashes on the planet Vendor, where he is saved by an inhabitant of the planet.  Spock visits his parents on Vulcan for the last time in the next 4 years.

2265  USS Enterprise o In the beginning of this year Captain Kirk assumes command of the Enterprise for a historic five-year mission of exploration. He is seen off on his first mission as commander of the starship by his father George Kirk, his brother Sam and his family. o The Enterprise becomes one of the first Earth ships to reach the edge of the Milky Way galaxy, where they encounter the galactic barrier. Gary Mitchell and Elizabeth Dehner are among the Enterprise officers who die in the line of duty.

2266  The USS Enterprise underwent a refit both on the outside and the inside design some time after 2265.  Dr. Leonard McCoy replaced Dr. Mark Piper as ship‟s surgeon and Chief Medical Officer aboard the USS Enterprise, some time after 2265.  Lieutenant Sulu transferred from staff physicist to helm officer aboard the USS Enterprise.  Lieutenant Uhura became chief communications officer and Janice Rand became the captain‟s yeoman on the USS Enterprise.  On board the USS Enterprise, Dr. Leonard McCoy, in his quarters, kills the last M- 113 creature as it was trying to kill Captain James T. Kirk. The M-113 creature had already killed four Enterprise crewmen.  The Antares is destroyed, with all hands on board perishing, when Charles Evans with psionic powers makes a baffle plate on the shield of the ship‟s energy pile “go away.”  An accident aboard a Class J starship releases delta radiation, killing several Starfleet cadets, and severely injuring Fleet Captain Christopher Pike, confining him to a wheelchair.  Planet Psi 2000 disintegrates naturally, for its lifespan.  A Romulan ship crosses into Federation space and destroyed several Federation Outpost Stations, ending over a century of Romulan isolation. This incident came to be known as the Neutral Zone Incursion.  Dr. Simon Van Gelder is assigned to the Tantalus Penal Colony as associate director, serving on Tristan Adams‟ staff.  Kodos the Executioner was discovered to still be alive, despite having been thought dead since 2246. While under surveillance of Enterprise Captain James Kirk, Kodos was accidentally killed by his daughter Lenore before formal charges could be brought against him for crimes committed on Tarsus IV.  A transport from Ingraham B to Deneva carried the deadly neural parasites that caused mass insanity on Ingraham B in 2265.  The inhabitants of Acamar III established peace after generations of war. An exception are the Gatherers, who will continue to be violent for a century.  The Redjac entity, incarnated as “Beratis”, killed several women on Rigel IV.  The colonists of Janus VI created a detailed series of charts for the 22 levels of the mine. These charts would later prove useful in the search for the Horta in 2267. 29

2267  The original USS Enterprise shuttlecraft Galileo was incinerated and destroyed. Fortunately the five crew members on board were saved before its destruction via the transporter.  Commodore Jose I. Mendez replaced Commodore Stone as portmaster of Starbase 11.  Fleet Captain Christopher Pike was taken by Commander Spock and the USS Enterprise to planet Talos IV, goes into retirement and lives with Vina in illusory bliss.  Ensign Pavel Andreievich Chekov joined the crew of the USS Enterprise. Before the end of the year, Chekov became Chief Navigator replacing Lieutenant DeSalle in that duty.  The Federation observation outpost on planet Cestus III is destroyed which leads the USS Enterprise to make first contact with the Gorn, who were resposible for the outpost‟s destruction as well as the deaths of two Enterprise crewmen, because the Gorn claimed the outpost was in their territory. The Enterprise also made contact with the Metrons, who became impressed with humanity when Captain James T. Kirk showed mercy and spared the life of a Gorn captain after the Metrons had set up an arena style conflict between the two of them.  Helmsman Hikaru Sulu‟s command console exploded in his face aboard the USS Enterprise and Doctor Leonard McCoy accidentally gave himself an overdose of cordrazine which, although not generally revealed, nearly led him to change history erasing the Federation and Starfleet from existence.  The SS Botany Bay was discovered by the USS Enterprise in the Mutara sector after drifting in space for 271 years.  The USS Enterprise uncovered the truth behind thhe disappearance of the starship Archon that had been lost 100 years earlier, when it visited the planet Beta III. The Enterprise was responsible for the destruction of the computer known as Landru which had ruled Beta III as a despot for 6,000 years. The ship left behind its sociologist Lindstrom and a team of specialists to restore that planet‟s culture to a more human form.  The Treaty of Organia was signed by the Klingon Empire and the United Federation of Planets, thereby preventing a destructive conflict between the two powers and paving the was for further approaches.  Although not generally revealed, the USS Enterprise discovered warp drive inventor Zefram Cochrane, long believed dead, alive on a remote planetoid in the Gamma Canaris region.  Neural parasites invaded the Deneva colony. Kirk and the crew of the USS Enterprise discovered their weakness and destroyed them, ending the spread of mass insanity.  The population of the Federation experimental colony on planet Gamma Hydra IV was killed from rapid aging caused by radiation from a rogue comet. The USS Enterprise landing party, sent to investiage, also suffered from the rapid aging, except for Ensign Chekov, including the ship‟s four senior officers and which resulted in the death of a science division lieutenant. Fortunately Kirk, Spock, Dr. McCoy and Chief Engineer Lieutenant Commander Montgomery Scott were cured of the rapid aging when McCoy, with the help of Spock, Nurse Christine Chapel and Dr. Janet Wallace, discovered an adrenaline based cure.  A transporter accident brought four USS Enterprise personnel from the primary universe to the mirror universe. The primary Kirk encouraged the mirror Spock to start a revolution against the Terran Empire. This eventually led to the conquest of that Empire by the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance in the late 23rd century. 30

 Dr. Janice Lester led an expedition of scientists to Camus II to investigate the civilization that once existed on that planet.  The USS Constellation is destroyed by eliminating an alien planet killer. Commodore Matthew Decker and his entire crew are killed by the planet killer.  The Klingons provided the inhabitants of Neural with firearms, trying to influence local politics.  Nimbus III was jointly established as the Planet of Galactic Peace by the Romulan Star Empire, the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire.  Except for Captain Ronald Tracey, the entire crew of the USS Exeter was killed by an unknown disease, which turned them into dehydrated crystals composed of their base minerals, while in orbit around planet Omega IV.

2268  Federation cultural observer and former history teacher of Captain James T. Kirk, John Gill, was shot and killed on the planet Ekos by Melakon after Gill denounced his own idea of a Nazi regime set up on Ekos as well as their battle against the planet Zeon and the subjugation and extermination of Zeon‟s population on a star system wide television broadcast. Melakon was in turn shot and killed by Zeon Isak. Thereafter, Isak, Ekosians Daras and Eneg agree to end the violence and set Ekos on a more humane path.  Kirk oversees a landing party on Argus X in order to search for the Dikironium cloud creature. This expedition was helped by Ensign Garrovick and security officers Bardoli and Bensen.  A brief alliance between the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire occurred. This resulted in an exchange of technology and spacecraft design, most notably the cloaking device to the Klingons.  Ceti Alpha VI exploded and turned the former M class planet Ceti Alpha V into a barren wasteland.  The United Federation of Planets hosted the Babel Conference, which eventually resulted in Coridan‟s admission to the Federation.  Christianity began on planet 892-IV during that planet‟s 1960s.  The Dohlman of Elas named Elaan was married, in an arranged marriage, to the ruler of Troyius in the hopes of fostering peace between the planet Elas and the planet Troyius which are both in the Tellun star system.  The USS Intrepid was destroyed and its entire crew of Vulcans killed, as well as the destruction of the Gamma 7A system, by an enormous space going single-celled organism.  The USS Enterprise made first contact with the xenophobic Melkotians.  The USS Enterprise made first contact with androids from the Andromeda Galaxy. This was made difficult, at first, due to the interference of Harcourt Fenton Mudd.  The USS Enterprise visited Deep Space Station K-7.  Kirk invented the card game Fizzbin.  The Polaric Test Ban Treaty was signed, after the near destruction of a Romulan research colony due to a polaric ion device explosion on Chaltok IV.  The USS Enterprise made first contact with intergalactic beings, the Kelvans, from the Andromeda Galaxy. This first contact was at first difficult as the Kelvans attempted to hijack the Enterprise and killed one of the crew.  Dr. Richard Daystorm suffered a mental breakdown aboard the USS Enterprise.

 Lieutenant Commander and Dr. Ann Mulhall joined the crew of the USS Enterprise. An astrobiologist, Ann Mulhall will be the highest ranking female officer to serve aboard the Enterprise during its original five-year mission.  The planet Amerind was saved from destruction by an asteroid by Kirk and Spock.  Harry Mudd stole a spaceship to get away from the androids from the Andromeda Galaxy.  All the adults of the Starnes Expedition are killed, due to the alien Gorgan‟s influence on the children, on the Federation outpost planet Triacus. Gorgan will be destroyed, a short time later, aboard the USS Enterprise.  Kirk, Commander Spock and Doctor Leonard McCoy are able to save the mute native humanoid species of Gamma Vertis IV from the destruction of the star Minara going supernova by showing the Vian scientists Thann and Lal that Gem and her mute species could express love and compassion.  The star Minara goes to supernova.  Odona became the patient zero (although she is cured of the disease herself) and introduced the disease Vegan choriomeningitis to her people on Gideon as a was to control the population that planet.  The USS Enterprise made first contact with the Eymorgs of Sigma Draconis VI after Kara steals Spock‟s brain to be used as the new Controller for that planet. McCoy will put Spock‟s brain back in Spock‟s head with the help of the Great Teacher, with the Eymorgs being forced to live, again, on the surface of that planet with the Morgs.  Dr. McCoy contracted the rare illness xenopolycythemia but was a short-time later cured via the Fabrini‟s vast database.  McCoy was briefly married to Natira.  Kirk and Spock reprogrammed the asteroid-ship Yonada‟s course to the one the Fabrini originally intended.  One of the designers of the USS Enterprise and Federation engineer Dr. Lawrence “Larry” Marvick dies a short time after looking at Medusan Ambassador Kollos.  Dr. Miranda Jones boarded a Medusan ship to help ready Medusans to be navigators on Federation starships.  The USS Defiant was discovered by the USS Enterprise adrift in the interphase of Tholian space with all the crew dead due to mass insanity. After Kirk was rescued from the ship, unknown to the Federation and Starfleet, the USS Defiant will end up courtesy of a Tholian tri-cobalt warhead in the mirror universe in 2155 stolen by Commander Jonathan Archer and the crew of the ISS Enterprise NX-01.  Lokai stole a shuttlecraft from Starbase 4.  A Slaver stasis box was discovered by archaeologists on the planet Kzin.  Dr. McCoy, with the help of Lieutenant Brent and an operations division lieutenant, administered to the inmates/patients of Elba II asylum, a revolutionary new medicine that potentially could eliminate mental illness.  The planet Cheron‟s humanoid population destroy their cities and kill each other off in a civil war making much of the planet uninhabitable to humanoid life forms and lower species animals encroach on and take over the cities.  The Caretaker of the Shore Leave Planet died.

2269  Captan James T. Kirk, Commander Spock and historian Erickson used the Guardian of Forever to observe first-hand Federation and Orion history.  Harry Mudd swindled the inhabitants of the planet Ilyra VI by trying to sell them the Starfleet Academy. 32

 Memory Alpha‟s memory core was burned out, as well as all its personnel, Federation scholars, researchers and scientists that were there at the time were killed, when the planetoid was attacked by the Lights of Zetar beings.  Lieutenant Mira Romaine began working to restore the memory core of Memory Alpha.  The Federation Class J space cruiser Aurora was stolen by Doctor Sevrin and his followers.  The Troglyte miners of the planet Ardana started wearing filter masks to block the ill mental effects of mining zenite.  Dr. Sevrin and his followers temporarily hijacked the USS Enterprise and stole the shuttlecraft Galileo II and took both into Romulan space so they could get to the planet Eden.  Dr. Sevrin and his follower Adam died on Eden after biting into an acid-saturated fruit.  Dr. Leonard McCoy discovered that Flint, found by the USS Enterprise living on planet Holberg 917G, time as an immortal was coming to an end and he would soon die, due to his leaving of Earth‟s atmosphere. Although not revealed during his lifetime, the immortal Flint was known by several historic names including King Solomon, Alexander the Great, Leonardo da Vinci, Johannes Brahms and interstellar financier Brack.  The USS Enterprise made first contact with the Excalbians.  Lieutenant Arex replaced Ensign Pavel Chekov as the USS Enterprise‟s Chief Navigator as Chekov was assigned further office training.  Ensign Dawson Walking Bear, a Comanche Native American, was promoted as chief relief helmsman, for Lieutenant Sulu aboard the USS Enterprise.  The USS Enterprise re-established contact with the Megans of planet Megas-Tu as the ship was exploring the galactic core.  Lieutenant M‟Ress was assigned in duty to be a relief communications officer for Lieutenant Uhura aboard the USS Enterprise.  Tuvok began taking lessons in kal-toh from a Vulcan master.  Els Renora was born on Bajor.  Keiko Ishikawa‟s mother was born.  The Mantilles colony in the Pallas 14 system was threatened by the cosmic cloud creature.  The USS Enterprise discovered an ancient abandoned insectoid starship in orbit arould Questar M-17 and made first contact with a magnetic organism.  The USS Enterprise uncovered what happened to the Terran geneticist Dr. Stavros Keniclius by finding his fifth generation clone living with the Phylosians.  A team of 127 Federation scientists, led by Professor Ketteract discovered the Omega molecule during the top secret research called “Project Omega” in the Lantaru sector.  The star Beta Niobe supernovaed destroying the planet Sarpeidon.  The asteroid ship Yonada reached its destination and the Fabrini settled down under the leadership of High Priestess Natira.

2270  On the planet Dramia, Commander Demos placed Doctor Leonard McCoy under arrest for allowing the outbreak of an auroral plague to develop on Dramia II in 2251.  Captain James T. Kirk invoked Starfleet General Order 6, on the USS Enterprise, after he and his crew contracted the auroral plague.  McCoy found a cure for the auroral plague via blood samples of the USS Enterprise crew, which allowed Kirk to lift General Order 6. 33

 After the testimony of defense witness for McCoy, Kol-Tai, it was discovered that the auroral plague was caused by radiation; McCoy was exonerated and was lauded as a hero not only for saving the lives on Dramia II, but also his own crewmates.  Orion neutrality comes to an end after an act of piracy. After the freighter USS Huron was attacked and looted, the USS Enterprise capture the Orion vessel responsible.  After a mild outbreak of choriocytosis aboard the USS Enterprise, the only seriously ill crewmember, Commander Spock, is saved from near death by a shipment of strobolin which was briefly stolen by Orions.  Kirk ordered a Federation quarantine of the planet Delta Theta III under Starfleet General Order 1 to maintain the Prime Directive of non-interference in the development of that planet‟s society and culture.  Near the beginning of this year, James T. Kirk‟s five-year mission ends. Kirk is promoted to Admiral and becomes Chief of Starfleet Operations. Spock retires from Starfleet and returns to Vulcan to undergo kolinahr. Leonard McCoy also retires from Starfleet and starts a private medical practice on Earth.  Willard Decker is promoted to captain of the USS Enterprise.  Felisa Howard is born.

2271  Demora Sulu, daughter of Hikaru Sulu, is born.  Kor leads the Klingons in the Battle of Klach D‟Kel Brakt against the Romulans, marking the end of the Romulan-Klingon Alliance.

2272  The Klingon Empire relinquishes its claim on Archanis IV to the Federation.

2273  Sarek of Vulcan meets the Legarans for the first time.  The crew of the refit USS Enterprise encounters the entity called V’Ger. The Klingon battleship IKS Amar and two other vessels attempt to intercept V’Ger situated in Klingon space, but are vapourized by an energy cloud, taking the three ships and their crews out of existence.  Betazed is admitted to the United Federation of Planets.

2274  The SS Artemis crash-lands on Tau Cygna V. Two-thirds of the crew die of radiation poisoning, but the survivors manage to establish a colony that is thriving by 2366.

2285  Project Genesis enters its third stage. USS Reliant is dispatched to the Ceti Alpha system to determine the viability of Ceti Alpha VI for use in the Genesis test. The vessel is hijacked by Khan Noonien Singh, and used to launch an attack on the USS Enterprise. Khan is killed in the detonation of the Genesis Device aboard the Reliant. Captain Spock dies while restoring power to Enterprise‟s warp drive, allowing it to escape. The Genesis Planet is formed.  James T. Kirk‟s 52nd birthday is in this year.  The USS Excelsior, Starfleet first Excelsior-class starship, is commissioned.  Admiral James T. Kirk steals the USS Enterprise in an attempt to rescue Spock, revived by the effects of the Genesis Planet. USS Grissom is destroyed by a Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by Kruge. The Enterprise is destroyed to prevent it from falling into Klingon hands. Kirk and his crew return to Vulcan in the Klingon Bird-of- Prey, where Spock‟s memory is restored with the fal-tor-pan ritual.  The Dax-symbiont is joined with Curzon, after a brief stretch of time with Joran following the death of Torias.  USS Hathaway, a Constellation-class starship, is launched from Copernicus Ship Yards, Luna.  According to Spock, Cyrano Jones would have finished cleaning Deep Space Station K-7 from tribbles this year.

2286  Admiral Cartwright replaces Harry Morrow as Commander of Starfleet.

It is discovered that the probe was sent to contact the species Megaptera novaeangliae or humpback whale, which had, however, been hunted to extinction in the 21st century. Admiral James T. Kirk is able to retrieve two members of the species from the year 1986, and avert further catastrophe. The probe leaves Federation space, and the disabled ships are restored.  Due to the Whale Probe threat, Earth enters a state of emergency, a state that would not be utilized again until the Borg threat of 2366/67.  After spending three months in exile on Vulcan, James T. Kirk and his crew are put on trial for their actions during the Genesis incident. All charges but one are dismissed, and Kirk is demoted to the rank of captain in punishment for the remaining charge.  The USS Enterprise-A is launched under the command of Captain James Tiberius Kirk.  Butler, Kirk‟s dog, dies.  On Acamar III, the Tralesta clan is almost exterminated by their arch-enemies from the Lornak clan in the Tralesta Massacre.

2287  USS Enterprise-A encounters Sybok, Spock‟s half-brother. Sybok hijacks the Enterprise and forces it to travel through the Great Barrier in search for the planet Sha Ka Ree and God. They find Sha Ka Ree and a very powerful lifeform, which is obviously not God.  A Federation starship suffers an unexplained ship-wide systems failure for the last time until 2366.

2289  T‟Meni and her husband, both of Vulcan, send their son Tuvok to Starfleet Academy, as it was their wish that he become a Starfleet officer. Feeling obliged to honor his parents‟ wishes Tuvok consents to attend.  Negotiations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire take place on the Korvat colony. At time time, Curzon Dax was representing the Federation, while Kang represented the Klingons.

2290  Hikaru Sulu is promoted to captain, and given command of USS Excelsior, for a three- year mission charting gaseous anomalies in the Beta Quadrant.  Three Klingon battle cruisers, commanded by Kor, Koloth and Kang, are dispatched to apprehend the Albino. The raid is successful in breaking up most of the Albino‟s power base, but they fail to capture the Albino himself. In revenge, the Albino infects each of the three captain‟s firstborn sons with a genetic virus that will slowly kill the children.  The Klingon battle cruiser IKS T’Ong is sent by the Klingon High Command on a high priority mission. For this mission, the crew is placed into cryogenic stasis.

2292  By this year the Romulan-Klingon Alliance has come to an end, with the two powers regarding each other as “blood enemies” again.

 Tuvok graduates from Starfleet Academy and is assigned to the starship USS Excelsior, under the command of Captain Sulu.  Stardate 9521.6 o The Klingon moon Praxis explodes. o Starfleet opens up a classified database on the Borg, likely due to the contact with the El-Aurians, a species which has nearly been wiped out by the Borg, and the mysterious incident in 2153.  The Khitomer Conference takes place, paving the way for nearly a hundred years of peace between the Klingon Empire and the Federation. Curzon Dax is one of the Federation diplomats present who negotiate the Accords.  The USS Enterprise-A is decommissioned.  On stardate 9715.5, the USS Enterprise-B is commissioned under command of Captain John Harriman. On its initial cruise, James T. Kirk is believed killed.

2294  The USS Jenolan, while en route to the retirement colony on Norpin V, encounters a Dyson sphere. The Jenolan becomes trapped in the sphere‟s gravity well and crashes on its outer surface. The only two survivors, Ensign Matt Franklin and passenger Captain Montgomery Scott, unable to wait for a rescue, place themselves in suspended animation by storing their patterns in the pattern buffer of the ship‟s transporter.  A northern continent on Oby VI is afflicted by a plasma plague. Dr. Susan Nuress, the principal investigator, and her associates are sent by the Federation to find a cure. The initial cure proves ineffective.

This peace conference is occurring as the USS Enterprise-C responds to a distress call from Narendra III.  In what becomes known as the Battle of Narendra III, the USS Enterprise-C is destroyed while defending the Klingon outpost on Narendra III from Romulan attack. This event reemphasizes the Khitomer Accords and ensures a lasting peace between the Federation and the Klingon Empire. However, some of the Enterprise crew survives and are captured, among them Natasha Yar, who had been sent there by Jean-Luc Picard from the future of an alternate timeline.  At the age of 15, Chakotay‟s entry into Starfleet Academy is sponsored by Captain Sulu.  Devinoni Ral, at the age of 19, leaves Earth and relocates to Hurkos III.  Kyle Riker and his son William go on a fishing trip in Alaska.  A Starfleet captain fails in his attempted contact with the Jaradas, following a protocol error that causes a twenty-year rift between the two organizations.  Shakaar Edon begins to fight the Cardassians during their occupation of his home.  The Bajoran Springball Association releases a new Springball scorecard sheet.

2345  Stardate 22519.5 – The USS Brattain is commissioned at 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards.  Sela is born on Romulus to her mother Tasha Yar, after becoming the consort of a Romulan general.  The Albino comes out of hiding, following a narrow escape from Kang, Koloth, Kor and Curzon Da on Galdonterre, and establishes a fortified compound on Secarus IV.  Kor, while serving on the Klingon Oversight Council, strikes the name Marton off the Klingon Defense Forces candidate list after noticing that he comes from the lowlands of Ketha Province. Martok later signs on aboard General ShiVang‟s flagship as a civilian labourer.  In the Delta Quadrant, the Kazon band together and overthrow the Trabe. They steal a large number of Trabe warships, force the Trabe from their homeworld and head out into space. Soon after this, the Kazon revert to fighting among themselves.  Data graduates from Starfleet Academy and is promoted to ensign.

2346  On stardate 23859.7, in what is later known as the Khitomer Massacre, the Klingon colony on Khitomer is attacked and destroyed by Romulan forces. Among the casualties is Mogh, whose son Worf survives and is later rescued by the USS Intrepid.  After the Khitomer Massacre, the USS Intrepid pays a visit to Starbase 24, where another survivor, Kahlest, disembarks for medical treatment. She later books a passage to her home in the Klingon Empire.  At the age of 18, Miles O‟Brien joins Starfleet as an enlisted crewman and is assigned to the USS Rutledge, under the command of Benjamin Maxwell.  The new Cardassian ore processing centre orbiting Bajor, Terok Nor, nears completion.  Paul Stubbs begins to research and construct “The Egg” to study the explosion of the neutron star/red giant in the Kavis Alpha sector.  Jean-Luc Picard has an affair with Miranda Vigo on Earth. 2347  The Setlik III massacre takes place, in which Cardassian forces raid the Federation colony on the planet.  Miles O‟Brien becomes a transporter chief.  Ro Gale is killed during a Cardassian interrogation while his daughter Ro Laren is forced to watch.  Dr. Paul Manheim begins a seach on a location that meets his criteria for his time and gravity experiments.  To keep his son William interested and challenged in anbo-jitsu, Kyle Riker cheats at the martial arts during combat.  Jason Vigo is born.

2348  Beverly Howard marries Jack Crusher.  Wesley Crusher is born on Earth.  Julian Bashir undergoes an illegal DNA resequencing treatment on Adigeon Prime, thereby improving his intelligence and coordination abilities.  Starfleet officer Stefan DeSeve defects to the Romulan Star Empire and begins to live on Romulus, where he will stay for the following twenty years.  The last attempt for reconciliation between Acamar III and the Gatherers prior to 2366 fails.  Ensign Data is promoted to lieutenant.  Chakotay graduates from Starfleet Academy.

2349  Upon selecting Vandor IV for his experiments on time and gravity, Dr. Paul Manheim assembles a team of scientists. Later this year, they establish a research outpost on the planetoid.

However, the little girl cries out as her mother takes her away from her home and Tasha is subsequently executed.  Federation-Klingon relations around this year are described as “not too cordial”.  Ty Kajada begins tracking down the Kobliad criminal Rao Vantika.  Harry Kim is born on Earth.  B‟Elanna Torres is born on Kessik IV from a Klingon mother and a Human father.  Tuvok returns to Starfleet and serves aboard the USS Wyoming.  Lyndsay Ballard is born.

2350  Beverly Crusher graduates from Starfleet Medical Academy.  Benjamin Sisko and Solok enter Starfleet Academy.  Annika Hansen (later Seven of Nine) is born.  At the age of 15, William T. Riker is abandoned by his father, Kyle Riker.  Romulan forces make a foolhardy attempt to board Klingon General ShiVang‟s flagship. Following the ensuing battle, Martok, a civilian labourer, is given a battlefield commission in the Klingon Defense Forces.  Neral‟s family is killed in a Klingon attack.  Divok is born on Qo‟noS.  Dr. Telek R‟Mor begins a three-year mission conducting “secret research” aboard the science vessel Talvath.  A group of Native Americans settle on the planet Dorvan V near the Cardassian border.

2351  Benjamin Sisko serves as captain of the Starfleet Academy wrestling team.  While on a three-year science mission, the Romulan Telek R‟Mor is contacted by the USS Voyager from the year 2371 via a micro-wormhole.  Enabran Tain becomes head of the Cardassian Obsidian Order.  Amanda Rogers is born in Kansas, North America as daughter of two Q in Human form.  Mardah is born on Bajor.  After witnessing the death of a girl on Invernia II, Julian Bashir decides to become a doctor.  Construction of mining station Terok Nor is completed.  On Terok Nor, Bajoran scientists Dekon Elig and Surmak Ren plant an aphasia device, created to kill the Cardassians on the station with an aphasia virus. However, the device is never activated and lies dormant until 2369.

The only survivor of the attack is Kyle Riker.  Jeremiah Rossa is born at Galen IV colony.  William T. Riker and Geordi LaForge enter Starfleet Academy in San Francisco, Earth.  Nog is born on Ferenginar.  Tora Ziyal, daughter of Gul Dukat and Tora Naprem, is born.  Worf accidentally kills a boy named Mikel in a soccer match.  Together with her parents, Magnus and Erin Hansen, the 5-year old Annika Hansen embarks on a scientific journey to study the Borg aboard the USS Raven.  Kira Meru dies in a Cardassian hospital.  Hector Ilario is born.  In the Delta Quadrant, five Kohl go into hibernation as their homeworld is almost destroyed by a solar flare.

Jean-Luc Picard, Crusher‟s captain aboard the Stargazer, delivers the sad news to Jack‟s wife, Beverly Crusher.  Dr. T‟Pan becomes director of the Vulcan Science Academy.  Benjamin Sisko and Solok graduate from Starfleet Academy. Sisko meets his future wife, Jennifer at Gilgo Beach, shortly after graduation. Later that year, they both attend the Mazurka Festival in New Berlin together with their friends Cal and Gretchen Hudson.  Varis Sul is born.  B‟Elanna Torres‟ father, John Torres, leaves her mother Miral.  Kathryn Janeway plays her last game of tennis, and will not play again for another 19 years.  The Hansen family aboard the USS Raven passes by the Drexler outpost on their mission to study the Borg. They did not file a flight plan, and no further contact with the Raven was made after their departure.

 In what later became known as the Battle of Maxia, the USS Stargazer is attacked by an unknown vessel (later revealed to be Ferengi in origin). His ship severely damaged, Captain Jean-Luc Picard devises a maneuver that makes the Stargazer appear in two places at once, which allows him to destroy the alien vessel. This maneuver, accomplished by making a very short warp jump, is dubbed the “Picard Maneuver”.  Mason is born.  Dr. Paul Manheim first conceives a theory, a theory he wouldn‟t put into practical use for nine years, that if the consistency of time is altered, that a doorway into another dimension will appear.  Captain Jean-Luc Picard is court martialed for the loss of the Stargazer. The prosecutor for Starfleet Command is Phillipa Louvois.  Worf completes his First Rite of Ascension.  Deanna Troi enters Starfleet Academy.  Kira Nerys joins the Shakaar Edon base camp in the hopes of becoming a resistance member.  Jake Sisko is born, son of Benjamin and Jennifer Sisko.  Worf visits the Great Domes of Qo‟noS for the first time.  Chu‟lak is assigned to the USS Strata as an ensign.  John and Mary Kim take their son Harry to a haunted house.

2356  The Alcyone people destroy a Tarellian plague ship which is assumed as the last ship of this ill-fated species. Up to the year 2364, the Tarellian people are thought of as extinct until a lone starship entered the Beta Cassius system.  Rose and Tara are born.  Matthew is born on Moab IV.  The Changeling Odo is brought to the Bajoran Institute for Science to be studied by Dr. Mora Pol, who then realizs that he is actually a sentient being.  One of William and Louise Samuels‟ two daughters are born on Volan II.  Miranda Vigo and her son, Jason, move to a colony on the planet Camor V.  In the Delta Quadrant, the Talaxian moon Rinax is attacked by a metreon cascade engineered by the Haakonian scientist Ma‟Bor Jetrel. The moon is rendered uninhabitable, killing hundreds of thousands of Talaxians.  Production of Mark V transporters is stopped.  Julian Bashir discovers that he was genetically enhanced and believes that his parents might have considered him as defective.  Magnus, Erin and Annika Hansen are assimilated by the Borg, following the capture of their starship, the USS Raven. The Raven is partially assimilated and left on a moon in B‟omar space.  Kathryn Janeway meets Tuvok for the first time.  Surmak Ren is arrested several times but released for insufficient evidence.

Riker is assigned to the USS Pegasus and LaForge takes a post on the USS Victory.  Vash visits Earth for the last time.  Worf enters Starfleet Academy.  In the Delta Quadrant, a Hirogen is captured by Penk, and is forced to fight in Tsunkatse matches. 46

 As part of the Galen border conflicts, the Talarians attack the Federation colony on Galen IV, where the four-year-old Jeremiah Rossa loses his parents and is adopted by the Talarian officer Endar.  The freighter Odin is declared missing.  The Gallitep labour camp is liberated.  T‟Jon, a native of Ornara in the Delos system, assumes command of the interplanetary freighter Sanction.  Surmak Rem is convicted of terrorist activity by the Cardassian Regional Court on charges of terrorist activity stemming from the kidnapping of Gul Spumco.

2358  USS Pegasus is presumed destroyed after an apparent warp core breach. The ship had been a testbed for a new phasing cloaking device developed by Starfleet Intelligence, and the ship‟s crew had mutinied in protest against the creation of such a device. In fact, the ship, still in a phased state, drifts through space eventually dephasing inside an asteroid in the Devolin system. Following the Judge Advocate General‟s inquiry into the incident, William T. Riker is assigned to Betazed.  The Parada civil war begins.  Ro Laren enters Starfleet Academy.  Admiral Janeway, father of Kathryn Janeway, dies beneath the polar ice cap of Tau Ceti Prime.  Rugal is born.  Harry Kim joins his parents, John and Mary, on a humanitarian mission to a colony that had just suffered from a radiation disaster. While there, the Kims visited a hospital, and Harry wandered off by himself to an area where he wasn‟t supposed to be. They would not attempt to do so again until 2375, when they extended the offer to Seven of Nine.  Tanis is born.

2359  After 40 years, the civil war on Mordan IV ends, with Karnas emerging as governor.  Admiral Mark Jameson is diagnosed with Iverson‟s Disease.  Worf and K‟Ehleyr separate because neither feel ready to engage in a deep relationship.  Marissa Flores is born.  Kar is born.  Deanna Troi graduates from Starfleet Academy.  Piri is born.  Dr. Bathkin dies in a shuttlecraft accident.

 Due to the effects of Iverson‟s Disease, Admiral Mark Jameson is confined to a support chair.  In a small village on Bajor, Hovath becomes the undergraduate of the Sirah in order to succeed him.  Li Nalas, a Bajoran Resistance fighter and former Terok Nor miner, is captured by the Cardassians and presumed dead. He spends the next ten years at the Hutet labour camp on Cardassia IV.  Alixus deliberately arranges for the SS Santa Maria to be stranded on a planet in the Orellius system, in order to establish her own technology-free colony.  Gul Dukat is assigned command of Terok Nor.  Mekor, the son of Dukat, is born.  In the Delta Quadrant, the wife of Caylem, a member of the Alsaurian resistance against the Mokra Order, dies in prison.  Vreenak becomes a key member of the Romulan Senate.  The son of Dara, grandson of Timicin, is born on Kaelon II.

2361  Lewis Zimmerman is assigned to the Holo-Programmic Centre on Jupiter Station. He begins developing what he refers to as a “Holo-Doc”: a holographic doctor intended to assist in medical emergencies.  The USS Potemkin attempts to contact the failed Federation colony on Turkana IV. They are warned that anyone beaming down to the planet will be killed.  The Potemkin sends down an away team, led by Lieutenant William T. Riker to evacuate a research station on Nervala IV. Due to atmospheric distortion, the Potemkin transporter chief attempts to use two confinement beams to transport Lieutenant Riker, the last one on the planet. Although the first confinement beam works and a Riker is beamed aboard, the second beam is unknowingly reflected back to the planet, creating another William T. Riker. The second Riker would later be discovered by the crew of the USS Enterprise in 2369.  Lieutenant William T. Riker is promoted to lieutenant commander for “exceptional valor during the evacuation of the research station on Nervala IV.”  Dr. Dalen Quaice is assigned to Starbase 133. He moves there with his significant other, Patricia.  Roana and her husband, both Bajoran entrepreneurs, open up a store on the Promenade of Terok Nor, after closing down their shop on Bajor after 17 years.  Botanists Kevin and Rishon Uxbridge move from New Martim Vaz on Earth to the Federation colony Delta Rana IV.  The father of Jeremy Aster dies from a Rushton infection.  Vash is hired as the personal assistant to Dr. Samuel Estragon, a scientist devoted to finding the legendary Tox Uthat.  An issue of the Journal of Starfleet Technology is released in August of this year.  Jay Gordon Graas is born.  Obsidian Order operative Iliana Ghemor volunteers for an undercover assignment on Bajor. She is surgically altered to appear as a Bajoran and infiltrate the Resistance. Her memories are erased.  The Shakaar resistance cell, including a young Kira Nerys, spends the entire winter hiding in the Dahkur Hills from Cardassian sensor sweeps.  Rom leaves Ferenginar.  Lidell marries Tolen Ren on Banea.

 William Riker and Deanna Troi meet for the first time on Betazed whilst he is stationed there as a lieutenant.  Seven of Nine emerges from a Borg maturation chamber, having been assimilated five years before.

2362  The Setlik massacre takes place. A soldier, Miles O‟Brien kills a Cardassian during the massacre. He later operates a field transporter for the first time and saves 13 men. During these events, several prisoners, including Raymond Boone, are taken by the Cardassians. O‟Brien is declared the “Hero of Setlik III” after leading a group of two dozen men against a Cardassian regiment at the Barrica encampment. As a consequence of his actions, O‟Brien is transferred to the operations division and is promoted to tactical officer.  Under the command of Captain Blackwood, the USS Tombaugh is attacked and assimilated by the Borg. Amongst the crew is Ensign Stone, fresh out of the Academy.  Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards (orbiting Mars) o Warp engine control systems are installed on the USS Enterprise-D. o Ensign Marla Finn begins a romantic relationship with Walter Pierce. She soon begins an affair with William Hodges and both are killed by a jealous Pierce in a plasma explosion. Afterward, Pierce vapourizes himself in the Enterprise‟s plasma stream. His Betazoid empathic trace is inadvertently left in the nacelle tube bulkhead. o Stardate 40987.2: Starfleet reports Marla E. Finn and William Hodges are missing. o Stardate 40999.4: The OSHC investigation into Finn‟s disappearance is terminated with no result.  Stardate 40164.7: The USS Victory investigates the mysterious disappearance of 49 people on the Tarchannen III outpost. Ensign Geordi LaForge is involved in the away team.  The last Klingon raid into Federation space occurs for at least the following seven years.  Stardate 39355.5: Dekon Elig is killed by phaser fire on Velos VII.  On Mordan IV, construction workers use steelplast for the sealing off of segments of tunnels under the principal city of the planet. An example of a tunnel segment sealed from adjoining tunnels is the subsidiary tunnel M-4.  Patterson Supra is born.  Cadet Ro Laren graduates from Starfleet Academy.  Beverly Crusher is promoted to the rank of Commander after passing the bridge officer examination.  Raymond Boone is killed. He is replaced by a Cardassian spy and returned to Starfleet. Within the year, “Boone” resigns from Starfleet, leaves his wife, and moves to a Cardassian border planet.  Rugal, son of Kotan Pa‟Dar, is kidnapped by a Cardassian officer and taken to the Tozhat Resettlement Centre after his mother is killed in a Bajoran Resistance attack. He would be adopted by Bajoran Proka Migdal.  This is the last year in which Tom Paris feels he has a life that is worth risking.  Quark loans his cousin Gaila an amount of latinum to start up a munitions consortium. Gaila promises Quark to pay him back in a shuttle should he become a success.

 USS Enterprise-D o Stardate 40052: The dilithium crystal chamber that will be used on the Enterprise is designed on outpost Seran T-1. It is installed on the Enterprise at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards. o Construction of the Enterprise at Utopia Planitia is completed. Commander Orfil Quinteros, who supervised the construction, would later accept a post at Starbase 74. o Stardate 40759.5: The Enterprise is commissioned at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards, Mars. o The Enterprise begins its shakedown mission out of spacedock, before returning to dock at Earth Station McKinley. o Prior to formally taking command of the starship, Captain Jean-Luc Picard picks his senior staff, including Geordi LaForge, Natasha Yar and William T. Riker. He decides on Riker as first officer based on an incident on the USS Hood.  The USS Olympia, under the command of Captain Lisa Cusak, leaves the Alpha Quadrant on an 8-year exploration of the Beta Quadrant.  Stardate 40250.5: The USS Phoenix is commissioned at the 40 Eridani A Starfleet Construction Yards.  On Terok Nor, Natima Lang, an agent of the Cardassian Communications Service, becomes romantically involved with the bartender Quark, who is selling food illegally to the Bajorans. He in turn uses her personal access codes to steal money from the Cardassian government.  Stardate 40291.7: The SS Tsiolkovsky – an Oberth-class Federation science vessel – is commissioned at the Baikonur Cosmodrome, CIS. Eight months before her destruction in 2364, this ship is assigned to study the collapse of a red supergiant star into a white dwarf.  On Velara III, drilling operations begin at tapping the water in the subsurface layer.  Gul Darhe‟el dies in his sleep due to a coleibric hemorrhage.  George Primmin becomes a security officer.  In his search for the Albino, Dahar master Kang discovers one of the Albino‟s discarded wives on Dayos IV. Kang fed and clothed her and later told her the story of his murdered son and his quest. Although he suspected that she knew the location, she said nothing.  Gul Dukar and Gul Hadar attend a reception at the Bajoran Centre for Science to view Odo and his abilities. The Changeling performs the Cardassian “neck trick” to wide acclaim.  Starfleet makes their last great intelligence find until the discovery of a crashed Jem‟Hadar ship on Torga IV in 2373.  Prof. Forra Gegen propounds the Distant Origin Theory.  Artim is born on the planet Ba‟ku.  Greta Vanderweg begins her Starfleet service.

2364  William T. Riker is offered command of the ill-fated USS Drake, but instead accepts posting to the new USS Enterprise-D as first officer.  Captain Jean-Luc Picard takes command of the USS Enterprise-D and the ship departs Earth on its first mission, to Farpoint Station. The official order to take command is signed by Rear Admiral Norah Satie on stardate 41148. The Enterprise subsequently makes first official contact with the Q entity and the lifeform which formed Farpoint. 50

 The Enterprise receives a strange message from the crew of the SS Tsiolkovsky, an Oberth-class vessel observing red supergiant that is about to explode into a white dwarf. Upon arrival, the crew is discovered all dead by an away team. The crew of the Tsiolkovsky was suffering from polywater intoxication, which is later introduced to the Enterprise by Geordi LaForge. The Enterprise is nearly destroyed by a stellar core fragment from the supergiant after Jim Shimoda removes all the isolinear chips from engineering, preventing the Enterprise from going to warp, but the ship is saved by the actions of Lt. Commander Data and Wesley Crusher.  The Enterprise-D travels to Ligon II to acquire a vaccine for Anchilles fever that afflicted the population of Styris IV from the Ligonians.  The Enterprise makes first official contact with the Ferengi.  The Enterprise is hurled to the M33 Galaxy by the Traveler.  The USS Stargazer, Picard‟s first command, is returned to Starfleet custody by the Ferengi.  Lore is discovered on Omicron Theta by the Enterprise crew. He is reassembled, but later transported into space when he tries to betray the Enterprise to the Crystalline Entity.  The star Beta Magellan goes supernova. Computer systems on the planet Bynaus, which is close by, are destabilized. The Bynars temporarily hijack the Enterprise-D from Starbase 74 in order to repair their damaged computers.  Starfleet Admiral Mark Jameson dies on Mordan IV.  The mythical planet of Aldea is revealed to exist.  Natasha Yar is killed on Vagra II by the entity known as Armus.  Alien neural parasites infiltrate Starfleet Command. Admirals Gregory Quinn and Norah Satie are instrumental in uncovering the alien plot, Dr. Beverly Crusher discovers a means of removing the parasites from the host, and Captain Picard and Commander Riker destroy the mother creature. The parasites transmit a homing message before they are killed.  Several Federation and Romulan outposts close to the Neutral Zone are destroyed prior to and on stardate 41903.2. Both the Federation and the Romulans suspect each other as the cause. Based on similarities with other attacked stations, it is probable these events marked the first appearance of the Borg in Federation space during the 24th century.  The Romulan Star Empire returns to interstellar politics after 53 years of isolation.  Senator Pardek represents Romulus on a Barolian trade conference.  Aamin Marritza started to work as an instructor at the Cardassian Military Academy on Kora II.  Morn visits Quark‟s for the first time.  The Bajoran Ro Laren graduates from Starfleet Academy and is assigned to the USS Wellington.  The Jem‟Hadar Virak‟kara is created in the Gamma Quadrant.  Mardah leaves her foster family on Bajor to live on her own.  A few weeks before the USS Enterprise-D visited the Vandor system, there is an accident in one of the labs of the research outpost on the fourth planet. There are two survivors – Dr. Paul Manheim and his wife, Jenice.  Six months before the starship Enterprise-D visited the Omega Sagitta system, Benzan of Straleb and Yanar of Altec begin courting each other with the assistance of Captain Thadiun Okona.
