We Are Honored to Have U-Haul Here Today to Promote the Great State of West Virginia Through

We are honored to have U-Haul here today to promote the great state of West Virginia through their SuperGraphics campaign that pays tribute to each U.S. State and Canadian province. The National Radio Astronomy Observatory was thrilled to learn that U-Haul images its trucks to represent each state as a way of giving back to the communities they serve. Today U- Haul is here to unveil a new image One that was developed to represent the state of West Virginia and happens to be right here in Green Bank.

But before we get started with the unveiling event - I'd like to introduce some very important people that we are honored to have as our guests today.

First I'd like to introduce West Virginia Delegate Bill Hartman.

Next we would like to introduce West Virginia Delegate Bill Proudfoot.

Next I'd like to introduce the Dr. Ron Maddalena, who is Head of Scientific Operations here at the NRAO. Ron has been here 21 years, and even though his accent may have a hint of the Bronx in it, we consider him an honorary West Virginian!

Also with us today are Pocahontas County Commissioners Joel Callison, Rita Griffith and James Carpenter, Mel Hobbs, director of The Pocahontas County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau is here as well.

Next I'd like to introduce Dr. Seth Shostak, Senior Astronomer with the SETI Institute.

Is there anyone else that would like an opportunity to say a few words before we introduce U-Haul?

Now I'd like to introduce to you Jeff Bowles the President for U-Haul Company of West Viriginia.
