Read “Wartime Reconstruction,” pgs 404-406. Complete a Determining Main Idea Chart for each of the three sections (Transparency 13) Counterpoints: Read “Views on Reconstruction” on page 406. Rewrite both quotes in your own words. Answer the Recognizing Bias question that accompanies the quotes.

Read “Lincoln’s Assassination” Complete a Concept/Event Map for this section.
