The 22Nd Annual Greater Washington Aviation Open THE 22ND ANNUAL GREatER WASHINgtON AVIatION OPEN Charity Golf Tournament & Auction Lansdowne Resort Lansdowne, Virginia May 24, 2010 3213 Duke Street, #207, AlexAndriA, VirginiA 22314 • www.gwAo.org Dear Friends of the GWAO: We welcome everyone to the 22nd Annual Greater Washington Aviation Open – the largest aviation charity event in Washington, DC. Given the state of the economy, it is a testament to the great support the tournament has received from the aviation industry. As our contributions from the GWAO to the Corporate Angel Network continue to grow, so has the number of cancer patients they have transported to treatment facilities across the country. CAN has now transported over 34,000 patients in the empty seats of corporate aircraft for life-saving medical treatment at some of our nation’s finest hospitals. We are very pleased to have Clay Jones, Chairman, President, and CEO of Rockwell Collins, serve as our Honorary Chairman this year. Clay has served on many important aviation boards, and his leadership and service are recognized by all in the industry. His participation today as our Honorary Chairman of the 22nd Annual GWAO is appreciated and well warranted. The GWAO would not be the premier charity event that it is without the tremendous support of Diamond Sponsor FlightSafety International and Gold Sponsor Aviation Partners Boeing. Through their very generous donations we are well on our way to a successful tournament. They are joined by other major donors in this program and are on our signage in recognition of their wonderful support. The airlines that have donated tickets for the live auction this year also merit our special recognition. Thank you to American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Continental Airlines, Etihad Airways, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Swiss International Air Lines, United Airlines, and US Airways. We couldn’t do it with you! Please enjoy the day “fore a great time and fore a great cause”! We wish to express our sincere appreciation for the wonderful support of the following airlines! Golf Tourney Format The GWAO will be played on the Robert Trent Jones II course at Lansdowne Resort. To ensure a fair and enjoyable tournament for everyone, a scoring system devised by the Lansdowne golf professional will be used to handicap each foursome. Tournament results will be announced during the awards ceremony following the Victory Reception. It is important that all players post accurate handicaps. Teams with winning scores must be able to verify their handicaps using the official USCG computer system. Any determination that inaccurate handicaps or scores were submitted will be grounds for disqualification. It is important to remember that the GWAO is played for charity and fun. Past tournament champions are awarded an additional handicap. If you happen to play well and win . congratulations. At the start of play, the golf professional will announce the method of play, and the rules will be distributed to all teams. This information also will include the long drive, closest to the pin, and grand prize hole-in-one hole. We are very pleased to have Manhattan’s Bethesda Auto donate a beautiful 2010 XF Jaguar (two-year lease) for some lucky player. Who said, “close but no cigar?” Land within 12" of the hole and win $1,000. We hope you have all purchased a mulligan prior to play. Mulligans may be used on any shot except the hole-in-one contest holes. No more than four mulligans may be purchased or used by a team. To keep the tournament moving along, please pick up your ball if you are putting or hitting for bogey on any hole. The course marshals have been instructed to keep play moving. • Airlines Report 13 Tarmac Delays Over Three Hours on Domestic Flights, Three Tarmac Delays Longer Than Four Hours on International Flights in July
DOT 79-13 Thursday, September 12, 2013 Contact: Bill Mosley Tel.: (202) 366-4570 Airlines Report 13 Tarmac Delays Over Three Hours on Domestic Flights, Three Tarmac Delays Longer Than Four Hours on International Flights in July WASHINGTON – Airlines reported 13 tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights and three tarmac delays of more than four hours on international flights in July, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Air Travel Consumer Report released today. Of the 13 domestic delays, 12 involved flights departing New York’s LaGuardia Airport on July 22, the day the front landing gear of a Southwest Airlines plane collapsed upon landing at the airport, causing the airport to be closed temporarily. All of the reported tarmac delays, domestic and international, are under investigation by the Department. The larger U.S. airlines have been required to file complete reports on their long tarmac delays for domestic flights since October 2008. Under a rule that took effect Aug. 23, 2011, all U.S. and foreign airlines operating at least one aircraft with 30 or more passenger seats must report lengthy tarmac delays at U.S. airports. Also beginning Aug. 23, 2011, carriers operating international flights may not allow tarmac delays at U.S. airports to last longer than four hours without giving passengers an opportunity to deplane. There is a separate three-hour limit on tarmac delays involving domestic flights, which went into effect in April 2010. Exceptions to the time limits for both domestic and international flights are allowed only for safety, security, or air traffic control-related reasons.

R-7225 ATTENDANTS-CWA, AFL-CIO FINDINGS UPON alleging a representation dispute INVESTIGATION pursuant to Section 2, Ninth, of the Railway Labor Act, as May 12, 2010 amended involving employees of NJI, INC./NETJETS AVIATION, INC. This determination addresses the application filed by the Association of Flight Attendants – CWA, AFL-CIO (AFA). The AFA seeks to represent the craft or class of Flight Attendants on NJI, Inc. (NJI). NetJets Inc. (NetJets or Carrier) requests the National Mediation Board (NMB or Board) to investigate whether NJI and NetJets Aviation, Inc. (NJA) are operating as a single transportation system.
