Rising gently from approximately 150 metres to 250 metres above sea level the 169 acres of permanent and temporary grassland lie on a gentle south facing slope. The lower fields are classified as Class 32 by the James Hutton Institute for Soil Research, and capable of providing good quality forage and fodder crops to provide feed for livestock.

Kindrumpark Farmhouse and the farm buildings sit a little further up the hill where the grazing land is predominantly permanent grass classified as Class 4. From here the pastures lead into an area of 93 acres of rough grazing.
