Village of Franklinville October 22, 2012 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held in the Village office at 7:00pm. Members present were: Mayor Robert Breton, Trustees Harvey Soulvie, Melissa Sullivan, Don Bentley and Ryan Jordan. Others present were Susan Fuller and SPW Cary Hatch.
Mayor Breton announced the meeting would be tape-recorded. Trustee Soulvie moved, 2nd by Trustee Jordan to accept the minutes from the September 24, 2012 meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
Reports from Department Heads- SPW Hatch read his report and asked if there were any questions. He stated that the trackless equipment is ready to be placed up for auction. Trustee Bentley moved, 2nd by Trustee Jordan to place the 1995 trackless MT5 machine with the mower and broom up for auction. All ayes. Motion carried. Trustee Bentley moved, 2nd by Trustee Sullivan to place the 2007 trackless machine with plow, sander and blower up for auction. All ayes. Motion carried. Trustee Bentley moved, 2nd by Trustee Jordan to place the 1997 Ford dump truck up for sale with a minimum bid of $2500.00. All ayes. Motion carried. Trustee Bentley moved, 2nd by Trustee Soulvie to place the 1991 John Deere 310C backhoe up for auction. All ayes. Motion carried. SPW Hatch stated that the sale of the old equipment will allow the DPW to purchase new equipment that will be versatile enough to plow, sand, or brush sidewalks and remove sludge from drying beds as well as loading dump trucks with any other material as needed. SPW Hatch said that the blower for the wastewater plant is repaired and ready to be picked up and reinstalled, he also said that it is the first of three motors that needs repairs. He would like to replace one a year. Pump station parts are ordered. SPW Hatch and WWP Operator Agett are working together to make a list of prioritizing repairs and maintenance to be completed at the wastewater plant. SPW Hatch invited all Board members to come and tour the wastewater plant and see what work is being done and what is still needed to be done. Trustee Sullivan asked if the fluoride is back in the water system and SPW Hatch said yes and it is working well. Trustee Bentley moved, 2nd by Trustee Sullivan to set Halloween trick or treat hours for Wednesday October 31 from 6pm to 8pm. Children are asked to only go to houses with porch lights on. All ayes. Motion carried.
Communications- A letter was received from Atty. James McAuley requesting the Board to meet with himself and Supervisor Brodka from the town of Farmersville to discuss the potential sewer line extension project with Lime Lake. Clerk Sage will contact Atty. McAuley to set up a meeting. Zoning and Tree Commission minutes were received.
Trustee Jordan moved, 2nd by Trustee Soulvie to accept the bills totaling $21,546.95 from the General Fund, $2839.02 from the Water Fund and $8043.32 from the Sewer Fund as stated for October 8, 2012 also $13,259.11 from the General Fund, $6974.43 from the Water Fund and $12,457.61 from the Sewer Fund as stated for October 22, 2012. All ayes. Motion carried. Trustee Jordan moved, 2nd by Trustee Bentley to adjourn meeting. All ayes. Motion carried.
