Terms and Conditions of Training

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAINING

Between:

(1) Martin Hill of Knaves Ash Barn, Redpost, Littlehempston, Totnes, Devon TQ9 6NG (the trainer) and (2) (the owners)

The Full Training Fee per calendar month for the horse ……. in the ……… Partnership is £36 per day or owners % thereof.

In addition to the basic training fee covered by the Agreement, extra charges may be made for those items indicated below:

Travelling Expenses: Horse Transport Hired Box – as per transporter’s account Trainer’s Own Box 90p per mile (min charge £50) Shared with one other 60p per mile Local courses:Newton Abbot alone £60, shared £45 Exeter alone £80, shared £60 Taunton alone £100, shared £75 Or owner’s % thereof

Sunday racing charge of £25 per runner – this will be passed on directly as an extra to staff to compensate for working what would normally be aday off.

Lad’s Expenses As per National Joint Council for Stable Staff Agreement

Foreign Travel Reasonable expenses

General Charges: or owners % thereof Prize Money Percentages Great Britain: in accordance with the Rules of Racing applied or in accordance with the local rules (whichever is greater)

Weatherby’s fees As per cost (entries, jockeys etc.)

Blacksmith General shoeing and plating for racing £60 Clipping £30 full clip, £15 half clip

Back Treatment £30 Carolyne Allanson Bailey

Veterinary Routine veterinary requisites inclusive in training fee Specific attendance and special medication at cost

Prize Money Percentages Great Britain: in accordance with the Rules of Racing applied or in accordance with the local rules (whichever is greater)

Weatherby’s fees As per cost (entries, jockeys etc.)

Gallop Fees Inclusive in training fee.

Schooling Fees To be at the current rate for the jockey doing the schooling. Schooling by in-house staff inclusive in training fees. Jockies generally paid £20-£25.

Sponsorship All horses are eligible for sponsorship through Lameys our stable sponsors.

Colours The horse will run in the colours of …….

ALL PAYMENTS WILL HAVE VAT ADDED TO THEM WHERE VAT IS PROPERLY CHARGEABLE
