The School Board of the Graford Independent School District met in a regular meeting, Thursday, October 27, 2016, at 7:00 p.m., with the following members in attendance: Travis Rogers, Jeff Lemley, Megan Ragle, Eddie Laney, Lonnie Dixon, Rowdy Glover, Branden Waters and Dennis Holt, Superintendent.

President Travis Rogers called the meeting to order There was a quorum present Invocation was given by - GISD 6th Grader, Jayce Houser Pledges US Flag – GISD 6th Grader, Sara Baker, TX Flag – GISD 6th Grader, Patience Hardoncourt Public Forum

1. District Reports: a. Elementary Principal – Wes Corzine  6th Grade Presentation – Slide show and kids got up and spoke about the Camp Grady Spruce trip b. High School Principal – Lori Henderson  Senior Trip Update – Rodney Hall and Ms. Henderson told the board that the seniors did not have enough money to go on a trip so they are going to buy season passes to Six Flags and take the whole class to a nice restaurant to eat. c. Athletic Director: Ty Tabor d. Maintenance Director – James Lenamon – Not present e. Technology Director – Chris Thompson

2. Motion by Lemley, seconded by Waters, to approve the Financial Audit Report for the 2015 – 2016 school year presented by GISD Auditors, Snow, Garrett, Williams, Certified Public Accountants & Consultants Motion Carried: 7 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

3. Motion by Waters, seconded by Lemley, to approve the designation / resolution of fund balance as presented Motion Carried: 7 – 0 For: All member present Against: None

4. Motion by Laney, seconded by Ragle, to approve the Elementary Campus Improvement Plan as presented Motion Carried: 7 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

5. Motion by Ragle, seconded by Dixon, to approve the High School Campus Improvement Plan as presented Motion Carried: 7 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

6. Consent Agenda a. Approve the minutes of the September 29, 2016 regular meeting b. Financial and expenditure list c. Investment Report Motion by Waters, seconded by Laney, to approve the consent agenda Motion Carried: 7 – 0 For: All members present Against: None

The Graford ISD School Board went into Closed Session at 8:23 p.m. and came out at 8:52 p.m. Govt. Code 551.074 No motions or votes were made in closed session it was for discussion only

7. District Personnel: a. Motion by Glover, seconded by Laney, to approve adding Kurstyn Christopher, Reba Dahr, & Kathy Eubanks to the GISD substitute teaching list Motion Carried: 6 – 0 – 1 For: Rogers, Lemley, Ragle, Laney, Dixon, Glover Against: None Abstain: Waters
