BBC Healthy Minds Film Competition
From the middle of January, BBC Northern Ireland will be delivering its ‘Healthy Minds’ campaign aimed at encouraging everyone to do something to improve their mental wellbeing.
During the 10 week campaign BBC Northern Ireland programmes will stimulate debate and discussion around mental health issues. Programmes and the campaign website will keep you up to date with our outreach activities.
As part of the campaign BBC will be running a 'Frames of Mind' short film competition for young people. They are looking for teams of two or more young people to create a 60 second film around the theme of mental wellbeing. The films should be creative and inspiring. There are four age categories and the short-listed films will be screened at a 'mini-Oscars' event in the QFT in late March. The winning movie makers will win a BBC Blast master class.
For more information on any of these initiatives check out the website after the 15 January 2007: www.bbc.co.uk/ni/healthyminds

Search Through the OpenDOAR for Repository Content
OpenDOAR - the Directory of Open Access Repositories - has recently released a trial search service for academics and researchers around the world which allows full-text searching from its list of repositories.
OpenDOAR already provides a global directory of freely available open access repositories that have been assessed by OpenDOAR staff as being of academic value. Now, with its new service, it also offers a full-text search service from this list of quality-controlled repositories. The trial service has been made possible through the recent launch by Google of its Custom Search Engine, which allows OpenDOAROpenDOAR’s approach to quality assurance helps to minimise spurious or junk results and lead more directly to useful and relevant information to define a search service based on the Directory’s holdings. Computing Tips
Renaming Your Microsoft Internet Explorer ‘Favorites’
When you save a URL into the Microsoft Internet Explorer Favorites folder, the name is often very long and somewhat cryptic. However, it's not much of a problem to change those names to something more meaningful to you. Just choose Favorites to open the folder. Now right-click a URL that you want to change and choose Rename. Type in the new name and press Enter.
