Thursday 28th April saw a wonderful outdoor community party to celebrate the Royal Wedding, at the Chace Avenue primary school with singing, dancing and table upon table of goodies to eat. From the youngest members of the Nursery to the specially invited older guests from the local community, everyone joined in the celebrations by wearing red, white and blue and raising their voices in song. Many of the children sported specially designed hats that challenged the ones worn by Victoria Beckham and Princess Beatrice for height, colour and style. “I designed and made it as part of my Easter holiday homework challenge” said Andrew Blakemore a year 6 pupil (whose tall hat design struggled against the breezy conditions). The school prides itself on creating memorable learning opportunities for its pupils. Many parents commented on how much they appreciated the school’s effort to make this historic occasion a truly special event. “It was an opportunity not to be missed!” declared Julie Lilly, head The Wroxham Music Garden teacher, “We had this very short week due to the extended bank This year has seen the planning and production of a new ‘Wroxham holidays, so we threw ourselves into a Royal couple of days.
