The mission of the Tennessee State University Career Development Center is to prepare students for life after college. Employers hiring new graduates want to see work experience in your career field on your resume-- and internships are the way to obtain that experience.

Quality Education for Minorities Network Internship Program The QEM Network Summer Internship Program includes three components: Science policy-focused student internships; Health-focused internships for students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs); and Science Education internships for students from Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs). UNC Healthcare The Administrative Internship Program (AIP) consists of nine to fourteen weeks of full-time employment within UNC Health Care. With rolling start and completion dates between May and August, the paid internship creates an opportunity for the interns to be exposed to operations within a department in their area of interest. The Kennedy Center: ArtsEdge The ARTSEDGE intern will be involved in all aspects of the development and maintenance, including content review, graphics development, HTML coding, and database creation, of ARTSEDGE, the Kennedy Center’s education website. They will participate in all phases of development of a mini-site—an online exploration of an arts-related theme— including research and storyboarding. National Gallery of Art Internships in the Museum Profession at the National Gallery of Art provide institutional training to students interested in pursuing a museum career. The Kennedy Center: Partnerships The Community Partnerships programs provide arts education projects for D.C. Public Schools (DCPS). Council of Economic Advisers The President’s Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) in Washington, D.C. offers full-time internships during spring and fall semesters, and during the summer. Part-time applicants who can commit to at least 30 hours a week will be considered during the spring and fall semester. Federal Reserve Dissertation Internship The Divisions of International Finance, Monetary Affairs, and Research and Statistics, offer paid internships for graduate students to conduct research at the Federal Reserve Board. Internships are offered in the spring, summer, and fall. Interns work on a topic of their own choosing, usually furthering dissertation research begun before the internship. Preference is given to Ph.D. candidates whose topics are in macroeconomics (broadly defined), international economics, finance, banking, and econometrics.
