Hong Kong Streetathon 2020” Transport Department Notice Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for the “HONG KONG STREETATHON 2020” Notice is hereby given that to facilitate the holding of “HONG KONG STREETATHON 2020” on 12 January 2020, the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented at the time specified below: I. Special Traffic Arrangements (A) Road Closure and Traffic Diversions The following road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented at the times specified below: Phase 1: From 1:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on 12 January 2020 (a) Road Closures The following road sections will be closed to all vehicles: (i) Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel eastbound; (ii) Island Eastern Corridor eastbound between Hing Fat Street and its ramp leading to Chai Wan Road (Exit 3A); (iii) Slip roads leading from Hing Fat Street, Man Hong Street and Tai Koo Wan Road to Island Eastern Corridor eastbound; (iv) Slip roads leading from Island Eastern Corridor eastbound to Tong Shui Road, Java Road, Tai Koo Wan Road, Hong On Street, Oi Shun Road, Nam On Lane and Tung Hei Road; and (v) Eastern Harbour Crossing (North bound tube) (b) Traffic Diversions (i) Vehicles on Rumsey Street Flyover eastbound heading to Wan Chai (North) via Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be diverted to Man Po Street eastbound, , Man Yiu Street southbound, Connaught Place, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Harcourt Road eastbound, Gloucester Road eastbound, Fleming Road northbound and Expo Drive East northbound; (ii) Vehicles on Rumsey Street Flyover eastbound heading to Causeway Bay and Tin Hau via Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be diverted to Man Po Street eastbound, Man Yiu Street southbound, Connaught Place, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Harcourt Road eastbound, Gloucester Road eastbound and Victoria Park Road eastbound; (iii) Vehicles on Man Kat Street eastbound heading to Wan Chai (North) via Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be diverted to Man Kat Street eastbound, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Harcourt Road eastbound, Gloucester Road eastbound, Fleming Road northbound and Expo Drive East northbound; (iv) Vehicles on Man Kat Street eastbound heading to Causeway Bay and Tin Hau via 1 Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be diverted to Man Kat Street eastbound, Connaught Road Central eastbound, Harcourt Road eastbound, Gloucester Road eastbound and Victoria Park Road eastbound; (v) Vehicles on Lung Wo Road eastbound heading to Causeway Bay and Tin Hau via Central – Wan Chai Bypass Tunnel will be diverted to Lung Wo Road eastbound, Hung Hing Road eastbound, Hung Hing Road flyover and Victoria Park Road eastbound; (vi) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to North Point or Quarry Bay via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound and Java Road eastbound; (vii) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Eastern Harbour Crossing via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Kornhill Road Flyover eastbound, Hong On Street eastbound, the ramp leading to Island Eastern Corridor westbound, Island Eastern Corridor westbound and Eastern Harbour Crossing; (viii) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Tai Koo Shing via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound and Tai Koo Shing Road ; (ix) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Kornhill via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Kornhill Road Flyover eastbound and Hong On Street; (x) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Sai Wan Ho via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound and Tai Hong Street; (xi) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Shau Kei Wan via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound and Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound; (xii) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Aldrich Bay via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound and Aldrich Bay Road; (xiii) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Shek O via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound and Chai Wan Road; (xiv) Vehicles on Victoria Park Road eastbound or Hing Fat Street northbound heading to Heng Fa Chuen or Chai Wan via Island Eastern Corridor will be diverted to Gordon Road eastbound, Electric Road eastbound, Java Road eastbound, King’s Road eastbound, Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound, Tai Hong Street northbound, Tai On Street eastbound, Oi Kan Road eastbound, Oi Lai Street eastbound, Tung Hei Road eastbound and Island Eastern Corridor eastbound; (xv) Vehicles on North Point heading to Eastern Harbour Crossing / Tai Koo Shing / Kornhill / Sai Wan Ho / Shau Kei Wan / Aldrich Bay / Shek O / Heng Fa Chuen 2 or Chai Wan via Island Eastern Corridor, please refer to the diversion routes as stated in paragraph (vii) to (xiv) after joining Java Road eastbound. (xvi) Vehicles on Eastern Harbour Crossing heading to Kornhill / Sai Wan Ho / Shau Kei Wan / Aldrich Bay / Shek O / Heng Fa Chuen or Chai Wan via Island Eastern Corridor, please refer to the diversion routes as stated in paragraph (ix) to (xiv) after joining Java Road eastbound via Island Eastern Corridor westbound. (xvii) Vehicles on Tai Koo Wan Road heading to Shau Kei Wan / Aldrich Bay / Shek O / Heng Fa Chuen or Chai Wan via Island Eastern Corridor, please refer to the diversion routes as stated in paragraph (xi) to (xiv) after joining Shau Kei Wan Road eastbound via Tai Wing Avenue and Tai Koo Shing Road. Phase 2A: From 1:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. on 12 January 2020 (a) Road Closures The following road sections will be closed to all vehicles: (i) The ramp of Kai Cheung Road westbound leading to Kai Fuk Road westbound; (ii) Kai Fuk Road westbound between Kai Cheung Road and Kai Tak Tunnel; (iii) Kai Tak Tunnel westbound; (iv) East Kowloon Corridor westbound between Kai Tak Tunnel and San Shan Road; and (v) San Shan Road eastbound. (b) Traffic Diversions (i) Vehicles on Kai Cheung Road westbound heading to To Kwa Wan Road via Kai Tak Tunnel will be diverted to Kai Cheung Road westbound, Kai Fuk Road southbound, Wang Kwong Road northbound, Kai Shun Road westbound, Kai Shing Street northbound, Shing Kai Road westbound, Sung Wong Toi Road southbound and To Kwa Wan Road southbound; and (ii) Vehicles on Kai Cheung Road westbound heading to Chatham Road North southbound via Kai Tak Tunnel will be diverted to Kai Cheung Road westbound, Kai Fuk Road southbound, Wang Kwong Road northbound, Kai Cheung Road eastbound, Wai Yip Street westbound, Kwun Tong Road westbound, Prince Edward Road East westbound, Ma Tau Chung Road southbound, Ma Tau Wai Road southbound and Chatham Road North southbound. Phase 2B: From 1:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on 12 January 2020 (a) Road Closures The following road sections will be closed to all vehicles: (i) Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound) between its ramp leading to Prince Edward Road East westbound and its ramp leaving from Wai Fat Road northbound; (ii) The ramp of Prince Edward Road East eastbound leading to Kwun Tong Bypass 3 (Sha Tin bound); (iii) The ramp of Prince Edward Road East eastbound leading to Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound); (iv) The ramp of Kai Fuk Road eastbound leading to Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound); (v) The ramp of Wang Chiu Road southbound leading to Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound); and (vi) The ramp of Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound) leading to Wai Yip Street. (b) Traffic Diversions (i) Vehicles on Kwun Tong Bypass (Lei Yue Mun bound) heading to Tseung Kwan O Road northbound or Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound will be diverted to Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Kwun Tong Road eastbound, Wai Yip Street eastbound and Wai Fat Road northbound; (ii) Vehicles on Prince Edward Road East eastbound heading to Tseung Kwan O Road northbound or Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound via Kwun Tong Bypass will be diverted to Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Kwun Tong Road eastbound, Wai Yip Street eastbound and Wai Fat Road northbound; (iii) Vehicles on Prince Edward Road East eastbound heading to Tate’s Cairn Tunnel via Kwun Tong Bypass will be diverted to Prince Edward Road East eastbound, Lung Cheung Road westbound and the ramp of Hammer Hill Road leading to Tate’s Cairn Tunnel; (iv) Vehicle on Kai Fuk Road eastbound heading to Tseung Kwan O Road northbound or Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound via Kwun Tong Bypass will be diverted to Kai Fuk Road eastbound, Kai Fuk Road Flyover eastbound, Wai Yip Street eastbound and Wai Fat Road northbound; and (v) Vehicles on Wang Chiu Road southbound heading to Tseung Kwan O Road northbound or Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound via Kwun Tong Bypass will be diverted to Sheung Yee Road eastbound, Sheung Yee Road Flyover eastbound, Ngau Tau Kok Road eastbound, Elegance Road southbound, Kwun Tong Road eastbound and Lei Yue Mun Road eastbound.

    Kowloon City Section Newsletter June 2012 Rail construction commences The Shatin to Central Link (SCL) project was first gazetted under the "Railways Ordinance" on 26 November 2010, followed with the first and second amendment schemes gazetted on 15 July and 11 November 2011 respectively. The Legislative Council’s Finance Committee approved funding for the SCL project in May 2012. Following the funding approval, the construction of the project commences. The Tai Wai to Hung Hom Section is expected to be completed in 2018 followed by the Hung Hom to Admiralty Section in 2020. Benefits Upon its completion, the SCL will provide a fast, reliable and convenient rail service to Kai Tak, To Kwa Wan, Ma Tau Wai and Ho Man Tin areas, which are not yet served by the network. Passengers from the Kowloon City district will be able to travel directly to destinations in New Territories East and West through the "East West Corridor" formed by the Ma On Shan Line, the Tai Wai to Hung Hom Section and the West Rail Line; while the Hung Hom to Admiralty Section will further link up the existing railway network. The Tai Wai new service will give passengers more options to Che Kung Temple reach their destinations and with more convenient interchanges, making it easier to travel around Hong Hin Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories.     3 PROJECT DESCRIPTION 3.1 Scope of the Project 3.1.1.1 Further to the recommendations of the Option Assessment and subsequent alignment developments detailed in Section 2 of this report, the preferred Trunk Road T2 is shown in Figure 3.1 and will comprise: • a dual two-lane trunk road of approximately 3.0km long with about 2.7km of the trunk road in form of tunnel; • ventilation and administration buildings and a traffic control and surveillance system; and • associated civil, electrical, mechanical, landscaping and environmental protection and mitigation works. 3.1.1.2 The works for the Trunk Road T2 project are grouped under the following major geographical headings: a) The South Apron Section – all works for the Trunk Road T2 Project located at the South Apron of the former Kai Tak Airport, including a ventilation building, a section of at-grade road, a section of depressed road, a section of cut and cover tunnel, a vertical launching shaft for the tunnel boring machines (TBM), a section of twin TBM tunnel and ancillary works. b) The Subsea Tunnel Section – all works for the Trunk Road T2 project in the sea between the South Apron and Cha Kwo Ling, including twin subsea TBM tunnels. c) The Cha Kwo Ling Section – all works for the Trunk Road T2 project located at the former Cha Kwo Ling Public Cargo Works Area (PCWA), including a section of cut and cover tunnel, a vertical receiving shaft for the TBMs, a section of twin TBM tunnels, a ventilation building and an administration building located inside the Lam Tin Interchange.
