Q. How much CBD is in EuroMedica® brand Hemp Oil + Curcumin? A. We do not make claims regarding cannabidiol (CBD). The FDA has called out companies for making claims for CBD on their websites, labels, and literature. However, hemp and hemp oil remain legal. Hemp is one of the fastest growing categories in the health food market. We want to assure that consumers who need this excellent herbal product continue to have access to high quality, full spectrum hemp oil. Therefore, we do not make claims regarding CBD.
Q. What is the difference between hemp oil and marijuana? A. Hemp oil (from industrial hemp) and marijuana are not the same. While both are obtained from Cannabis sativa they feature different ratios of key phytocompounds. The primary phytocompound in marijuana is THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), which is what people normally associate with the mind-altering effects of the plant. Industrial hemp contains almost no THC, but contains many other compounds, that are beneficial – and legal – in hemp oil.
By law, hemp oil must not contain more than 0.3% THC. Our products are thoroughly tested and documented to meet this requirement.

Q. What is the omega-3 fatty acid content of Hemp Oil + Curcumin? A. While plant omega-3 fatty acids occur naturally in hemp oil, we do not standardize for this compound. The amount may vary from batch to batch.
Q. How does the curcumin in Hemp Oil + Curcumin compare to other curcumin and turmeric products? A. The curcumin in this formula is up to 500 times more powerful than unstandardized turmeric.^ The most active compound in turmeric, and the one associated with most of its health benefits, is curcumin. However, unstandardized turmeric contains as little as 2% curcumin, so many grams of turmeric (equivalent to hundreds of capsules) need to be taken to equal the amount of curcumin in one softgel of Hemp Oil + Curcumin. The clinically studied curcumin in this formula starts with pure curcumin, which is then blended with turmeric essential oil (which contains beneficial compounds called turmerones that are health supportive as well) to increase its absorption.
