Transfer from the airport to the hotel. Day 2: Pachacamac Ruins & Lima City Tour Breakfast. Morning Excursion to Pachacamac Ruins: the temple of the deity, Pachacamac, the creator of the universe and a divinity adored by old Andean civilisations, where thousands of pilgrims converged to pay tribute and can suit the Pachacamac orade, wham they believed could see the post, the future and the fate of all people. The site comprises pyramidal temples and enclosures built by successive pre-Colombian civilisations and finally the Inca. Lunch at La Coso de Don Cucho, a Former hacienda transFormed into a sprawling rustic restaurant specializing in dassic Peruvian cuisine. Transfer back to lima for City Tour: Visit the Main Square in lima's Historic center, The Cathedral, the Government Palace, San Francisco Monastery, continue on to the Catacombs museum. Then tourofthe Huaca Pucllana ruins. Tro nsfer to hotel to relax. Evening outing to the Huaca Pudlana Restaurant for a magical dinner at the foot of the ruins. (B/l/D) Day 3: Larco Museum, Puruchuco Excursion and Inca Rebellion Lecture Breakfast. Visit the Larco Museum for guided tour of a magnificent collection of ortifccts from Peru's pre-Columbian cultures, from the earliest known civilizations, which were contemporaneous with Egypt and Mesopotamia, to the later Mochica and Inca empires and through the Spanish Conquest of the 16th century. Then on to the Puruchuco Museum with Dr. Guillermo Cock, one of Peru's leading archaeologists, who will offer his cutting- edge historical in sights on the latter years of the Inca Empire and the Spanish Conquest. Lunch at Junius Restaurant. Night outing for late dinner and floor show at Brisos del Titicaca: a premier shawcase of traditional Peruvian dance, food and drink. (B/l/D) Doy4: Farewell Breakfast. (S) (B) BreakFast,(L) Lunch, (D) Dinner Cultural Peru lima / Paraeas / Naz~a/ Amquipa / c.u!:~o/ Puno / lima 14 day~ I 13 night~ Day 1: City Lima International Airport Arrival We meet you on your arrival at Jorge Chavez nternationa Airport 10 lima and transfer you to your selected hotel. Day 2: Lima City Tour Take the morning to relax. In the afternoon, around 2 pm, we start 0 city tour that takes in the most important and attractive sites in lima, the ·City of Kings·. The tour includes visits to Huoca Pucllano, on adobe pyramid structure in the heart of the seaside district of Miraflores. We take a walk through the historic centre: following Paseo de lo Republica, and taking in the colonial architecture of the Plaza San Martin, and the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by grand buildings like the Government Palace, the Cathedral (housing the tomb of Conquistador Francisco Pizarro) the Archbishop's Palace, and the Municipal Palace. We pass through old streets with colonial mansions, and lima's intricate wood-carved balconies. Next stop is a visit to the Convent and Church of San Francisco, which hold the oldest collection of colonial art in 'he Americas, with an exquisitely carved chorus, a ibrary of ... ancient manuscripts, and the Sacristy with poin-ings by Zurborcn and Rivero. (B) Day 3: Paracas National Marine Reserve / Nazca Early in the morning, we travel from limo to the Paracas Peninsula, where we enter the most important wildlife sanctuary ..------ .... =--::::------..J-."IIiC_ii:I on the Peruvian coast. A guided boat tour takes you to the Ballestas Islands, in the Porocos National Reserve, home to sea lions, boobies, pelicans, penguins and other marine birds. On the way back you'll see EICandelabro, a gigantic figure of unknown origin, in the style of the Nazca lines, etched into the sand of a hill on the mainland. In tne afternoon we transfer to the town of Nazca where you will stay the nighl. (B) Day 4: Nazca - Nazca Lines / Arequipa Eorly in the morning, oFter breakfost, we go to the airport for a AS-minute flight over the mysterious Nazco lines, enormous drawings of animals, birds, and geometric figures etched into the desert floor, which can only be truly appreciated from the oir. At midday we stort our overland journey to Arequipa, about 6'11- hours away, passing through desert sands and coostal volleys.
