Day 2: Lima City Tour Take the morning to relax. In the afternoon, around 2 pm, we start 0 city tour that takes in the most important and attractive sites in lima, the ·City of Kings·.

The tour includes visits to Huoca Pucllano, on adobe pyramid structure in the heart of the seaside district of Miraflores. We take a walk through the historic centre: following Paseo de lo Republica, and taking in the colonial architecture of the Plaza San Martin, and the Plaza de Armas, surrounded by grand buildings like the Government Palace, the Cathedral (housing the tomb of Conquistador ) the Archbishop's Palace, and the Municipal Palace. We pass through old streets with colonial mansions, and lima's intricate wood-carved balconies.

Next stop is a visit to the Convent and Church of San Francisco, which hold the oldest collection of colonial art in 'he Americas, with an exquisitely carved chorus, a ibrary of ... ancient manuscripts, and the Sacristy with poin-ings by Zurborcn and Rivero. Day 3: Paracas National Marine Reserve / Nazca Early in the morning, we travel from limo to the Paracas Peninsula, where we enter the most important wildlife sanctuary ..------.... =--::::------..J-."IIiC_ii:I on the Peruvian coast. A guided boat tour takes you to the Ballestas Islands, in the Porocos National Reserve, home to sea lions, boobies, pelicans, penguins and other marine birds. On the way back you'll see EICandelabro, a gigantic figure of unknown origin, in the style of the Nazca lines, etched into the sand of a hill on the mainland. In tne afternoon we transfer to the town of Nazca where you will stay the nighl. (B) Day 4: Nazca - Nazca Lines / Arequipa Eorly in the morning, oFter breakfost, we go to the airport for a AS-minute flight over the mysterious Nazco lines, enormous drawings of animals, birds, and geometric figures etched into the desert floor, which can only be truly appreciated from the oir. At midday we stort our overland journey to Arequipa, about 6'11- hours away, passing through desert sands and coostal volleys. Day 5: Arequipa - City Tour In the morning, we toke a guided tour of Arequipa, starting at the Plaza de Armas (the main square) one of the most beautiful in Peru, the Cathedral, a fine example of 19'"century Peruvian architecture, which houses precious artefacts of gold and silver.

We visit the "city within a city· the Convent of Santa Catalina, with its vibran~y coloured walls and courtyards that remained cloistered for centuries and was only opened to the public in the 1960s. We also visit the Cornponio Church, an old Jesuit complex, perhaps the most historically significant in Arequipa, with a beautiful church facade covered in columns carved into spirals, laurel wreaths, flowers and birds.

We recommend you hove dinner in the hotel, and have on early night, as your guide will collect you very eorly the next morning to start your journey to the Colee Canyon. (B)

Day 6: Arequipa / Colca Canyon Eorly in the morning we embork on an incredible 4-hour bus journey to the Colee Canyon. It's one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 m.o.s.l.], passing through the Coriohuos plateau to the Aguado Blanco Notional Reserve,a habitat for vicuncs ond alpacas (species of South American camelids related to the ). En route you'll see pre-Columbian terraces that are still used today to grow native crops. Refreshments are served along the way. When we arrive at Volle de Colee, you'll be transferred to your selected lodge. In the afternoon we recommend you rest to occlirnotize to the altitude. If you find yourself in good physical shope, toke a walk around the surrounding coumryside or toke a both in the nearby thermal pools. You'll then have dinner and stay overnight in your selected lodge. (S/D) Day 7: Colca I Cruz del Condor Very early in the morning we deport for the Cruz del Condor -~------~- lookout, where you'll have a chance to see the lorgest Hying bird in the world in full flight. It's a great opportunity to see the daily life of the inhabitants, who have maintained many of their traditional customs since Inca times. We stop for lunch in a local restaurant. Day 8: Arequipa I - City Tour and Surrounding Archaeological Sites We transfer to Arequipa airport early in the morning for the Right to Cusco. On arrival we transfer you to your selected hotel. We recommend you toke the rest of the morning to ccclimofize to the altitude and have a light lunch in or near the hotel.

In the afternoon we start to explore the city of Cusco on a guided tour, visiting the main plaza, the Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha. We then visit the ruins on the outskirts of the city, stopping at the Inca ritual site of Ouenqo, the water temple of Tombomochoy, the customs house of Puca Pucara and the ~.:

Day 9: Cusco I Sacred Valley of the Inca In the morning we start a guided tour of the Sacred Volley 01 the Inca, along the Urubomba River, to visit the famous Andean market town of Pisac. We have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we pass through the towns of Colee and Urubambo on the way to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to the valley and protect the Empire from possible invasions by the people of the jungle. We have the opportunity to walk through the stone alleyways of the city and get on idea of what life was like in a military, religious and cultural centre at the height of the Inca Empire. Day 10: Cusco I Machu Picchu I Aguas Calientes Early in the morning we take you to the Irain station lor a three- hour journey to Mochu Picchu, the lost City of the Inca. We arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes, and take a bus lor about 30 minutes, ascending up a series of switchbacks to reach the incomparable Machu Picchu. The excursion includes a guided tour of the citadel, visiting the main plaza, the Circular Tower, the L..-.::. :~~~~~j~~~~!~~i;i~....._ Sacred Sundial, the royal quarters, the Temple 01 the Three Windows and the cemeteries. Day 11: Aguas Calientes / Cusco Today is on excellent opportunity to start early, toke in a beautiful dawn, and then walk around the town of Aguas Calientes, visiting its thermal baths. In the afternoon we return by train to Cusco, and transfer to your selected hotel. (S)

Day 12: Cusco / Puno At 7:30 in the morning your tour bus leaves for the city of Puna at 3,860 metres above sea level. During the journey we pass the Lake of Wacarpay, offering spectacular views of snow copped mountains reRected in its tranquil waters. Near the lake we visit the Pre-Inca citadel of Pikillocto, Ouechuo, or ·City 01 the Thumbs". lt's one of the most impressive sites built by the , consisting of more than 700 structures,with walls almost 12 metres high.

We continue to the picaresque town of Andahuaylillos, where we visit the temple of Saint Peterof Andahuoylillas, also known as the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its rich colonial artworks and pointed murals that cover the walls, arches, entranceways and ceilings. Further on we stop at Archi, where we visit the spectacular sanctuary built by the Inca Pochociitec, dedicated to the sun god Wirococha. It has a grand central stone wall, with other walls built Irom adobe bricks. Around the temple you'll lind a multitude of ancient buildings that were used as houses or storerooms. About 70 kilometres later we reach the pass of La Roya, the highest point of the journey at 4400 metres above sea level, where you can spot herds of vicunas and . Day 13: Puno / Floating Islands of Uros / Island of Taquile Early in the morning we start an unforgettable boot tour around LakeTiticaca. Ou r first stop is the Floating Islands of Los Uros, where people have lived since pre-lnco times. These Andean natives have built thei own islands out of reeds, stacking new layers to lorm floating structures dozens 01 metres deep. The vegetable fibre used is Scirpus Totaro, from the papyrus family. They also use this material to build their houses and boats. The famous cylindrical stone structures were first built by the Aymara people to entomb their high priests, and were then used by the Inca to bury their nobles. Day 7: Puno / Lake Titicaca / Floating Islands ofthe Uros /Taquile Early in the morning we start on unforgettable boot tour around lake Titicoco. Our first stop is the Floating Islands of los Uros, where people have lived since pre-Inca times. These Andean natives have built their own islands out of reeds, Slacking new layers to form structures dozens of metres deep. The vegetable fibre used is Scirpus Totaro, from the papyrus family. They also use this material to build their houses and boots. We continue to Tcquile, inhabited by quechua speakers who, for generations, have developed on efficient and original social system and their own magnificent textile techniques. After lunch at a local tavern on Ioquile we wolk around its hillsides and archaeological sites. In the evening we return you to Puno, and your hotel. (B/l)

midway between Puna and Cusco and the highest point on the route, Roqchi, the temple to the Sun God Wirococho, and Andohuoylillos, a church that conserves original colonial artwork. lunch is in a local restaurant en route. Day9: Cuseo - City Tour and guide visitto nearby ruins In the afternoon we start to explore the city of Cusco, on a gUided tour visiting the main plaza, the Cathedral, and the Temple of the Sun or Koriconcho. We then visit the ruins on the outskirts of the city, stopping at the Inca ritual site of Ouenqo, the water temple of Tombomachay, the customs house of Puco Pucara and the impressive Fortress of Saqsoywomon, built strategically on the hill standing over the city of Cusco. It's famous for its enormous stone blocks, assembled with incredible precision to form the imposing external walls of the complex. Some of the stones stand 9 metres toll and weigh more than 350 tons. We then return you to your hotel.

Day 10: Cuseo / Sacred Valley of the Inca In the morning we start a guided tour of the Sacred Valley of the Inca, along the Urubamba River, to visit the famous Andean market town of Pisac. We have lunch at local restaurant. In the ofternaon we pass through the towns of Colee and Urubambo on the way to the Fortress and Citadel of Ollontoylombo, built to guard the entrance 10 the Volley and protect the Empire from possible invasions by the people of the jungle. We have the opportunity to walk through the stone alleyways of the city and get on ideo of what life was like in a military, religious and cultural centre at the height of the Inca Empire. On the way bock to Cusco we stop at the picturesque town of Chinchero, where we visit the ruins of a royal hacienda built for Tupoc Inca Yapanqui. You'll admire the well-preserved Inca wall in the main plaza, and visit the beautiful colonial church with intriguing frescos pointed on its portico, all built on Inca foundations. We return you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 11: Cuseo / Maehu Pieehu / Aguas Calientes Early in the morning we toke you to the train station for a three-hour journey to Mochu Picchu, the LostCity of the Inca. We arrive at the station in Aguas Calientes, and toke a bus for about 30 minutes, ascending up a series of switchbacks to reach the incredible Machu Picchu. The excursion includes a guided tour of the citadel, visiting the main plaza, the Circular Tour, the Sacred Sundial, the royal quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. We also give you free time to walk around the complex. We have lunch in a restaurant in Aguas Calientes, and toke you to your selected hotel.

Day 12: Aguas Calientes / Cuseo Today is on excellent opportunity to start early, toke in a beautiful down, and then walk around the town of Aguas Calientes, visiting its thermal baths. In the afternoon we return by train to Cusco, and transfer you to your selected hotel.

Day 13: Cuseo / lima Transfer to the airport to toke a domestic Right to limo. You'll be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Day 13: Cuseo / Puerto Maldonado We transfer to the airport for a Right to Puerto Maldonado, a port town on the Tambopata River. After 30 minutes we arrive at the Madre de Dios River, where we start walking to enter the Tambopata Notional Reserve. We walk for about on hour while the guide explains the natural history of the site, until we arrive at a little conal where we board 0 canoe for a 20 minutes across lake Sandoval to our lodge. The short journey by canoe or catamaran gives a quick glimpse of the area's natural beauty. We arrive at Sandoval lake Lodge

After lunch and a short rest, we board a catamaran to visit the east side of Lake Sandoval. It's possible to observe families of giant oHers and other mammals, especially monkeys, just before sunset. Many brightly coloured birds, including spectacular toucans, parrots, and macaws land in this area to spend the night and build their nests. We return to the lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 14: Puerto Maldonado Very eorly in the morning, before breakfast, we visit the other side of Lake Sandoval, always on the lookout for spectacular jungle wildlife. You'll see many birds, a few monkeys and get another opportunity to observe the giant oHers that usually hunt for fish early in the day. We return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. After a short rest, our guides toke you on on interpretive walk behind the Sandoval lake lodge, where you can see various species of Amazonian native trees, including chestnuts, the Peruvian hardwood shihuchuoco, and the lupuna, one of the largest trees in this part of the Amazon. Your guides explain the natural history althe forest and demonstrate the economic and medicinal value of many of its plant species. We return to the lodge for lunch and a rest

In the afternoon we toke another trip to explore lake Sandoval, on opportunity to watch the abundant wildlife. We stop to view a stunning sunset from the middle of the loke, and observe fauna along its shore. On the way bock, our guides try to find a block caiman, a dangerous predator that shores the some habitat as the giant aHer. The tour includes visits to Huaca Pucllana, on adobe pyramid structure in the heart of the seaside district of Miraflores. The grand courtyard of the main cloister is decorated Aoor-to-ceiling in blue and white Sevillian tile doting bock to the 16 century, depicting scenes from the bible. On the way we pass cultivated fields and towns that have maintained their ancient traditions and customs, all surrounded by craggy peaks and glaCiers. We enter the Sacred Volley of the Inca at KM 82, where we gather to start walking the classic Inca Trail. We stop at the town of Miskay for lunch and to hear a brief description of the archaeological complex of lloctcpoto. We then continue to the town of Huoyllabamba at 3100m.a.s.l. Finally we complete a climb up the valley to our campsite at Lluncachimpa at 3300m.a.sJ Walking time: 6 hours. lunch and dinner included.

• Day 6: Lluncachimpa - Llulluehapampa - Paeaymayu - Chaquicocha ~-- Dawn is the best time to start climbing through the enigmatic volley of Lluncachimpa (3300m.o.s.L) through Uuchapompo at 3850m.a.sJ to reach the highest point of the trek named Paso de Wormihuariusca or "Dead Woman's Poss". From here we take in impressive views of the Veronica Range and the remnants of the Inca trail running through the mountains. After a short rest we descend to the deep volley of Pacaymayu at on altitude of 3500m.a.sJ We have another climb to Runcuracay at 3950m.a.sJ, then descend to the archaeological site of Sayacmara. We finally arrive at our campsite in Chaquicocha at 3650m.a.sJ Walking time: 7 hours. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

• Day 7: Chaquicocha - Winayhuayna Today we have a beautiful day's walk through the middle of a tropical forest, known as Yungo. We also stop at some of the most important archaeological sites along the Inca Trail. We visit the sites of Phuyupatamarca (3600m.a.s.l.) and finally Wiriayhuayna (2650m.a.s.l.) our last campsite Walking time: 5 hours. Day 8: Wiriayhuayna - Maehu Pieehu - Cuseo After we've enjoyed a very early breakfast, around 5:00 am, we're guided by torchlight to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) at 2780m.a.s.l, where we can experience the sunrise over Machu Picchu and the peak ofWayna Picchu.

Machu Picchu (2400m.a.sJ) stands in all its glory, leaving us breathless, and we descend to explore the lost City of the Inca. We then return to Cusco.

LARES Day 5: Cuseo - Thermal Baths of Lares - Huaea Wasi Around 7:00 in the morning we toke our bus to the Volley of Lares. During the journey we pass archaeological sites and artisans' markets in the Sacred Volley of the Inca. We enter the province of Colee (2940m.a.sJ), the place where we start our climb to the pass of Huaca Casi (4400m.a.sJ). We then descend to the town of lares (3250m.a.sJ). The main attraction of lares is the thermal pools with temperatures between 28 and 34°C_ We then enjoy lunch and begin walking to the town of Huacawasi (3600m.a.s.l.) where we camp for the night. Travelling lime: 4 hours. Walking time: 3 hours (prepare for cold weather).

Day 6: Huaea Wasi / Abra Ipsay / Pataeancha After breakfast we start our climb up to the pass of Sipsay at 4400m.a.sJ, which tokes about 4 hours. We visit some families who live at this extreme altitude and who continue to respect the ancient customs and traditions of the Andes. Andean people continue to use ancient techniques that are passed down from generation to generation, in their agriculture and in their textile designs and colours inspired by Andean gods and symbols. After the pass we descend to Pcrcconcho at 3650m.a.s.l, where we camp for the night. Walking time: 7 hours in cold weather.

~~_. Day 7: Pataeaneha / Willoq / Pumamarea / Ollantaytambo / Aguas Calientes Another spectacular day where we visit villages like Willoq (3400m.a.sJ) and Punomarca (3200m.a.s.l.). Ollantaytambo (2850m.a.sJ) is considered the lost Inca citadel, where we can see inhabitants still living in houses and walking oIang stone cobbled streets built by the Inca. From here we toke our train to the town of Aguos Calientes at 2050 meters above sea level. We spend the night in a hostel.

• Day 8: Aguas Calientes / Maehu Pieehu / Cuseo It's recommended that visitors arrive at Machu Picchu early in the morning. We take 0 bus to Mochu Picchu (2400m.a.s.l.) where your professional guide explains the religious significance and amazing style and construction techniques that work in harmony with the citadel's spectacular natural surroundings. Day 2: Quito - Historic Centre and "The Middle of the World". We toke you to the historic centre of the city that was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978. We begin with a panoramic view of the Alameda Pork and Basilica, followed by 0 walk along the Street of the Seven Crosses. When then toke a walking tour of the city starting in the Plaza of Independence. Day 3: Quito / Otavalo We toke you to small Andean towns to see family-run arteson workshops and to haggle for bargains at the Otavalo Indigenous market. We arrange accommodations in historic haciendas, rusric guesthouses or with indigenous families.

Enjoya rich breakfast before you leave Quito. We drive north ofthe city to the town of Calderon, less than 20 minutes away. We StOP there to see how the locals make confectionery from marzipan.

We continue travelling north along the Panamericana Highway, passing the city of Tabacundo where we can see a beautiful landscape of rose plantations on both sides of the rood.

The tour makes a short stop at a picturesque and strategic lookout in Milago to see Mount Imbabura volcano and lake Son Pablo, which sitsin the folds of the mountain. The bus tokes us round lake Son Pablo to the village of Agato, where we visit a textile workshop to learn the techniques used to create double sided tapestries. We see the process from start to finish, beginning with the creation of the thread then passing through the colouring process and then through the looms of the weaving maestroAndrango.

Around midday we arrive at the worlckenowned artisans market of Otavalo. Here we visit the textile market located in tne Plaza of the Ponchos. It's the most famous textile market in South America. Day 1: PM - Interpretation Cenfre (Son Cristabal) and/ar La Loberia We start our itinerary with a visit to the interpretatian cenfre. This building was constructed with the caoperation of the Spanish Science Centre and it gives us a tharough introductian to the Galapagos Islands, as well as the archipelago's unique Aora ond fauna. The complex is located on the outskirts of the small town of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, the capital of the Province of Galapagos.

Later, depending on the weather, we visit La Loberia, which con be reached by 0 ten-minute bus ride or a 3().minute walk south of Puerto Boquerizo. You'll notice the unusual colour of the plants and animals on the way to the beach. La Loberia is home to a large colony of adult ond baby sea lions ("Iobos merinos" in Spanish). There are dozens of sea lions on the beach at any hour of the day. Even so, one of the best times to visit is otlow tide, when the mothers toke their offspring to the tidal pools formed by the outgoing tide, to teach them how to swim. Here you can enjoy watching the seo lions and marine iguanas, spat birds and even the giant tortoises ofthe Galapagos. It's important to always stay on the poth, and fry not to disturb the animals.

Day 2: AM - Espanola Island - Gardner Bay Situated on the northeast side 01 Hood Island, Gardner Bay has a beach thor's an excellent place 10 relax, swim and 10wotch sea lions. PM - Espanola Island - Point Suarez This rocky patch of land sustains one of the most varied and impressive colonies of marine birds in the whole Galapagos archipelago. Day 3: AM - Point Cormoran (Floreana) This site is probably the largest flamingo lagoon on the Galapagos Islands. It's located between two volcanic mounds thai give the place a special almosphere. In the region there's also a high percentage of endemic planl species. Blue-footed boobies conduct their mating dances in the most open spaces, and swallow tailed gulls (the only nocturnal gulls in the world) settle an the edge af the cliffs. Even though there's a Iremendously powerful onshore current that could drag them into the rocks, the sea lions leave the beach and can be seen swimming on the surface. Here you can admire the inflated red throats of magnificent frigate birds and the nests built by the blue-footed boobies. Watch where you walk along the slopes where the boobies have mode their nests, it's easy to tread on one. Day 1: Iguazu Waterfalls Arrive at Puerto Iguozu Airport. Reception and transfer 10 your selec'ed hotel. Depending on your Right's arrival time, the rest of the day is free time. First night in hotel.

Day 2: Iguazu Waterfalls In the morning. after breakfast we start our excursion to the incredible Iguazu waterfalls, on the Argentinian side, where you can toke any of the paths through Iguazu Notional Pork, seeing the falls from below, walking along the ridge post several smaller lolls, or crossing the Parana River to stand at the top 01 the Devils Throat, the largest. loudest and most impressive waterfall in the pork. Spend the night bock at your hotel. (B)

Day 3: Iguazu Waterfalls After breakfast we return to the lolls. seeing them this time from the Brazilian side. Immediately afterwords we toke a city tour of Foz do Iguo~u We visit the Iguazu Dam, home of one of the largest hydroelectric power schemes in 'he world. Return to Puerto Iguazu and your hotel. (S)

• Day 1: Lima - Trujillo Evening flight from lima to Trujillo. Transfer from the airport to hotel [Iibertodor Trujillo Hotel)

Full day tour including: the main square, the Cathedral, EI Carmen Church and Monastery, San Francisco Church, the Urquiaga and Emancipacion Colonial mansions and the Cassinelli Museum. Continue on to Chan-Chan, the ancient capitol of the Chimu Kingdom and the largest adobe citadel of Pre-Hispanic America, Huaca Tshudi, Huaca Dragon, and site museum. On ta the fishing village of Huonchcco, well known for the "Cobollitos de Iotoro" boats made of bundles of "totoros" [reed], and the temples of the Sun and the Moon dating from the Moche period. ,...... _..;. Day 4: Chiclayo Breakfast. Explore the archaeological complex of Tucume, where the ruins of 26 structures constructed from huge adobe blocks are known as Peru's valley of the pyramids. Visit to Tumbas Reales de Sipan Museum, located in Lambayeque, seven miles (12km) from Chiclayo. This ultra-modern museum offers a great collection of objects in gold, silver and copper from the lord of Sipan Tombs. Lunch. Then on to the Sicon archaeological complex and its site museum, located in the middle of a petrified forest. Overnight at Costa del Sol Hotel. (B/L)

• Day 5: Chiclayo - Chachapoyas Breakfast. In the morning you will depart from Chiclcyo by private car, van or minibus with air conditioning. You will cross four different Peruvian departments: Lambayeque, south Piuro, the North of Ccjcmorcc and end Amazonas. The journey, which tokes approximately 9 hours, takes you through petrified forest, climbing steadily into the mountains over the PorculiaPass at 6,600 feet above sea level (2,000m.a.s.l.), then descending into the Maranon Volley and jungle terrain renowned for exotic bird species, huge slipper orchids and cascading waterfalls. Late afternoon arrival to Chachapoyas. Box lunch and dinner included. Overnight at Hostel EI Chillo. (B/LlD)

• Day 6: Kuelap ,..-_....; After breakfast you will visit Kuelap, a spectacular pre-Inca walled city hidden atop a precipitous mountain. Although Kuelap was discovered 60 years before Machu Picchu, it is not os well known to the outside world. Nevertheless recent amazing attention of archaeologists, international magazines and film companies. Box Lunch. Following your visit to Kuelap, you will return ta Chillo for the night. Day 9: Cuseo - Puno Early in the morning (7:30 am) our tour bus leaves for the city of Puna, 3860 meters above sea level. During the journey we pass the Lake of Wacorpay, offering spectacular views of snow copped mountains reflected in its tranquil waters. Near the lake we visit the Pre-Inca citadel of Pikillacta, Quechua for ·City of the Thumbs", one of the most impressive sites built by the Wari culture, consisting of more than 700 structures, with walls almost 12 metres high.

We continue to the picturesque town of Andahuaylillas, where we visit the temple of Saint Peter of Andahuaylillos, also known as the Sistine Chapel 01 the Americas, for its rich colonial artworks and painted murals that cover the walls, arches, entrance ways and ceilings. Further on we stop at Archi, where we visit the spectacular Inca sanctuary built by the Inca Pochocetec, dedicated to the great Inca god Wiracocha. It has a grand central wall mode of stone, with ather walls built with adobe bricks. Around the temple you'll find a multitude of ancient buildings that were used as houses or storerooms. About 70 kilometres, or 43 miles, later we pass through the Ranch of La Raya, where we can spot herds of vicunas and llamas

We then travel along the Callao plateau, slopping at the town of Ayaviri on important cattle and textile centre, where we visit the temple of Kolasaya, belonging to the ancient Pucara culture. We stop for a buffet lunch in a rustic rural selting where we can sample the culinary delights of the region. We arrive in Puna in the afternoon, and then transfer you to your selected hotel.

• Day 10: Puno - Lake Titicaca - Floating Islands of Los Uros -Taquile Early in the morning we start on unforgettable boot tour around lake Iificoco. Our first stop is the Floating Islands of Los Uros, where people have lived since pre-Inca times. These Andean natives have builttheir own islands out ofreeds, stocking on new layers to form Hooting strucJuresdozens of metres deep. The vegetable fibre used is Scirpus Totaro, from the papyrus family. They also use this material to build their houses and boots. We continue to Taquile, inhabited by quechua speakers who have developed, over generations, an efficient and original social system, and their own magnificent weaving techniques to produce magnificent textiles. After lunch at a local tavern on Taquile we walk around its hillsides and archaeological sites. In the evening we return you to Puna, and your hotel.

• Day 11: Puno - Lima On the way to the airport in Julioca we detour to visit the burial towers of Sillustani. The famous cylindrical stone structures were first built by the Aymara people to entomb their high priests, and were then used by the Inca to bury their nobles. Umayo Lake, in Front of the "chullpos" only odds to the beauty of the site. We also have the chance to observe native birds of the region.

Then you will on excursion by horse to visit the colorful funeral buildings of Revosh perched on ledge up high on a cliff.

They overlook a volley and tributary of the Ulcubamba, near the town of '>U,IIIU.,. Tomas. The Cliff wolls at Revosh are decorated with geometric designs and figures camelids. On the way you will stop atlas Palmaswhere a light trek will start to La Congo no, a spectacular settlement paHern 01 the Chachapoyos culture. in this area you will be able to discover outstanding friezes and defensive towers still virgin in the jungle. After picnic lunch, return to leymebamba where we will spend a night at local three star hostel. (B/l/D)

• Day 9: Leymebamba - Cajamarca Morning visit the Museum of Leymebamba with its amozing preserved pre-inca mummies discovered in the laguna de los continue to you will drive to Celendin ond then to Cojomorco, crossing two cordilleros and severol different hobitots, such as cloud forest, ogricultural desert-like areas and the Maranon Canyon. Box lunch on way. Overnight at Laguna Seca Hotel and Spa.

Day 10: Cajamarca Morning light trek through the Cojcmorco countryside to see local people in their doily activities, including children going to school. Then we visit the Ventanillas de Otuzco, a pre-Inca cemetery that features a gallery of secondary burial niches (located 5 miles, or 8km, from the city). After lunch exploration of the main points of the city: Main Square, the Cathedral and the 17th Century Son Francisco church, which houses the Museum of Religious Art. Continue on to the Ransom Room; which Atahualpo, filled with silver and gold in a futile aHemptto secure his freedom from Spanish conquistadors in 1532; to the Belen complex which includes the Belen church constructed from volcanic rock, and finally on to Santo Apolonia Hill, for a scenic view of the volley of Cojomorco and where one can also see the ceremonial inca seat. Finally we will stop for a delicious cup of coffee, teo or refreshmentsot a local cafeteria. Returnto hotel to toke a dip in its swimming pools with thermal woters or enjoy 0 relaxing massage at the Spa. (Thisservice is not included in the price).
