DEPED TV FEATURING GMA-7 DOCUMENTARY NEWS

Dear Mr. Navera:

The Department of Education (DepEd) is working on producing and airing of video lectures in Television to support blended learning for the School Year 2020-2021.

In line with this, the DepEd, through the Office of the Undersecretary for Administration (OUA), requests permission from the News & Current Affairs, GMA Network Inc. for staff of Information and Communications Technology Service- Educational Technology Unit (ICTS-EdTech) to use the documentary news Kawayang Pangarap by Kara David as part of the DepEd TV lesson in Filipino 7.

The DepEd TV will neither air the whole documentary nor re-edit the sequences. It will just refer to the first six minutes of the documentary, specifically from 00:00 to 06:25 mark. The said requested episode will be used as an example of documentary shown in television.

Furthermore, the DepEd TV episode with the documentary will air on IBC 13 (free TV channel 13, its Facebook and YouTube accounts), and on .

The ICTS-EdTech, headed by Mr. Mark Sy and represented by Mr. Alvin Sy (email: [email protected]) and Ms. Lyza Abalos (email: [email protected] and mobile: 09167160340 & 09493973472) will coordinate with the GMA Network Inc. relative to this request.
